La Bagatelle Villa is a uniquely spacious villa situated on a hillside overlooking the Pitons with spectacular panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea.
ā€ƒThe villa features almost 4000 sq ft of living and dining space with unobstructed views of the afternoon sunsets, Pitons and Carribean. The Villa can accommodate up to six guests. Along with two spacious bedrooms there is a four poster daybed in the Cabana area and a hammock for those wanting to enjoy the cool breeze and a afternoon nap.ā€ƒThe kitchen is fully equipped to prepare any meals you desire (some cooking is included in the rate).ā€ƒOn the far end, is a refreshing tropical pool area that offers a sun deck and a BBQ grill for cooking some local fresh fish or lobster. In addition, high peaked ceilings and smooth polished greenheart floors make this villa a luxury of space and style.
Downstairs are two tastefully furnished bedroom suites and Italian tiled bathrooms with large closets. The master bedroom has a king size West Indian four poster bed, an armoire and antique side tables. Also, featured is a large ensuite bathroom with a shower and plenty of closet space. Of course, both bedrooms offer stunning Caribbean views.
The guest bedroom features king and queen four poster beds and two chest of drawers. The ensuite bathroom includes a double sink tiled vanity, shower and a large closet. Mosquito nets are on all beds and a safe is available for your valuables. Cooking (you provide the food) and housekeeping services are included in the rate.
There is a detailed guestbook for planning your stay and the staff (BB and Alvin) can help you arrange your activities and transportation. .

Most Excellent!

This is place is so well taken care of. Tasteful as well, everyone we interfaced with was a pleasure to work with and very helpful. Good walk down to the water but you can always cool down in the pool when you get back.Would be my first choice on my next trip!

Perfect escape

Our stay at this vacation rental in St. Lucia was absolutely perfect! The property was exactly as described in the listingā€”beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, and the views were nothing short of breathtaking. Waking up to the stunning scenery every day was truly unforgettable. Fabulous villa

We loved the villa, views are amazing & we really enjoyed the open plan, airy feel of the place. Bibi & Alvin looked after us very well, very much enjoyed Bibiā€™s local cooked dishes & she kept the place immaculate. Alvin kept the birdfeeders well topped up so we could enjoy the birdlife particularly the hummingbirds & the work he has done the gardens is stunning. The house feels very secure but you will need a car here, quite a hike to town or back uphill from the beach. All in all, a lovely, chilled week & we will be back.

La Bagatelle, a wonderful villa

This was our 3rd time staying in Le Bagatelle, and our first sine Covid. It is absolutely the perfect villa for 2 couples. So much space and the most amazing views. The plunge pool was clean and warm and very much an enjoyable asset. The staff is very attentive and friendly. We would definitely stay there again.

Amazing stay at an even better villa!

The villa is as advertised and then some. David, Alvin and Verlinda couldn't have been more helpful. The views, furnishings and accoutrements were all first class. Highly recommend.

Magical Honeymoon

The Villa here has the most stunning views of the Pitons - by far the most beautiful part of St Lucia. The floorplan is uniquely wide open, spacious and well appointed. We loved the views, walks to the beach and all the people we met. Alvin, the property manager, is so helpful and kind. The gardens and flowers and hummingbirds just amazing. Relaxing, romantic. Perfect.

Heaven on earth

The villa is exactly is described and pictures don't do it justice. The view is spectacular. Verlinda, house manager and Alvin, the caretaker are absolutely awesome and will help arrange everything and answer any questions. I highly recommend.

Perfect Honeymoon!

My husband and I stayed for a one week honeymoon and we were blown away. The property is GORGEOUS, tranquil, and everything you could need for a romantic and peaceful getaway. All of the staff were very accommodating - we heavily utilized the private transportation, cooking, massage reservations, and other amenities with ease. We hiked the Gros Pitons, snorkeled at Anse Chastenet beach (with gear provided by the villa), enjoyed massages in the villa, and had multiple great dinners. I would recommend this stay to anyone! My favorite part of our stay was having breakfast every morning overlooking the Pitons. Thank you all for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful View

A fantastic view property with an open living area which adds to the experience. I was initially worried about bugs but was pleasantly surprised how few there were. It was about a 20 minute walk to the beach with a steep return but we enjoyed the exercise. We took a taxi everywhere and didnā€™t use a rental car. Highly recommended.

St. Lucia vacation

The La Bagatelle villa is breathtaking and immaculately clean. It has everything you need to feel right at home. The pool is a huge plus as it was very hot and humid during our stay. If there is any way to air condition the bedrooms, that would be a big plus. Verlinda and Alvin are very friendly and a wealth of information. They kept the villa super clean. We dined at Camille Blanc hotel several times. Itā€™s a 10 minute walk from the villa.

Will Be Back!

We loved our stay at La Bagatelle, it made our honeymoon so magical so stay in such a lovely spot! The pictures donā€™t do it justice. The drive Arthur is very friendly and was available to drive us wherever we wished. Be aware the road to and from the property is quite windy so take precautions if you get car sick easily. The only thing that would have made it perfect is some A/C in the bedrooms - we were there in November and it was still over 30 Celsius at night with fans which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. Overall wonderful villa that we will happily revisit!

Simply Amazing

The property is as described. The views are spectactular. Verlinda and Alvin were gracious and took great care of us. Benton drove us anywhere we needed. Alvin maintains gardens in the jungle. The privacy is spectactular. Serene and peaceful if you are into the sounds of nature. Treee frogs are loud but we love that. The villa is well appointed and very tasteful.

Our stay at the villa La Bagatelle was incredible and absolutely honeymoon-worthy! The villa was exactly as described and even better than we imagined in our pre-holiday dreams. The view is breathtaking, the best on the island, right there from the balcony ā€“ we just never tired of it! The villa is very well taken care of, cosy but stylish, the service is great (housekeeping, gardening and cooking is included ā€“ we opted for that every other day), the pool is just perfect for a refreshing dip when it gets too hot and the hammock and day bed are the best reading spots in the world. There are no windows, but itā€™s always warm and comfy and there are shutters in the bedrooms. Birds and frogs and crickets will sing you to sleep every night ā€“ bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper!

Paradise

We have just returned from our short stay at La Bagatelle. We were looking for a restful home with views of the Pitons to celebrate a birthday and were not disappointed. The home is beautifully appointed and impeccably maintained by Verlinda and Alvin. As other's have noted, La Bagatelle sits up on the hill side above Anse Chastenet. It is a 15-20 minute walk down the hill to the beach (and a quick car-ride back up....we utilized Benton for our transportation needs and found him friendly and punctual) If you are looking to be in the center of 'the action' look elsewhere.....but if you want extraordinary views, peace, quiet in a sublime villa that is close to all that Soufriere has to offer this is your place. You will not be disappointed!

Anniversary

My wife and I stayed 10 days at the villa. The property was spotless! The view, pool, and location were great. The proximity to Anse Chastanet Beach was perfect if you wanted to spend a day lounging and snorkeling. There was an umbrella and beach chairs for beach days, which was awsome. You will need an umbrella because the sun is so intense. My wife and I decided to rent a car in Soufriere and they brought it up to the villa and dropped it off. Walking to the beach and town was impractical because of the hills and distance. We found that having the ability to drive to the beach and several resorts to have dinner worked out well and we drove ourselves back to the airport for our departure which was not a problem. The island was beautiful the beach time was great but we also walked through the botanical gardens and did a hike into the forest which was a highlight of our trip. Alvin was available if we needed something and was happy to guide our forest hike and Bibi was there each day to keep everything in order and she did a great job!

The best place on the island

I booked this place for our honeymoon based on the past reviews and photographs, and it even exceeded expectations. The views are genuinely incredible and almost take your breath away. Waking up to that view every morning with a coffee is worth the trip up Anse Chastenet road to get there. The villa is the best equipped rental I have ever come across. Alvin is great for just chatting to, booking and helping to arrange things, learning about the area, and has created an incredible garden over the past 6 years. Verlinda is a lovely cleaner that comes in most days and makes sure the house is spick and span for you. The bedrooms and en-suites are very spacious, the pool is lovely, and the location is perfect for a tourist. We used a great taxi driver called Germal who took us everywhere with no fuss and fair prices; much less hassle than hiring a car so would highly recommend him. The property manager can sort that for you. An added bonus was the hummingbirds that visit daily for the nectar - they are beautiful. Safe to say, all the reviews are correct and this place is insanely good.

Magical!

There are not enough words to describe just how amazing this villa is! The pictures do not do this place justice. Open, inviting, and the dƩcor is impeccable! The open air living room was an absolute treat...my husband and I actually slept upstairs several nights. I could go on about the villa, but I must also share our experience with the staff and the owner. The owner made sure that we had access to transportation and the staff was warm, welcoming, and engaging. But the real shining star of the service came on Friday July 2 when we were hit by Hurricane Elsa. The owner remained in touch with us via text during the storm, and the groundskeeper came back to the villa and remained onsite with us during the storm. We were blown away by the genuine concern and thought of our safety during this time. This was by far our vacation. Beautiful location, beautiful villa, and wonderful staff and owners. We can't wait to come back!

Beautiful St. Lucia Retreat

We visited St. Lucia as a group of 4 (2 couples) and after considering Anse Chastanet for lodging and scuba diving, we decided to rent La Bagatelle based on the close proximity to all of the hiking and diving we planned to do, but with a more quiet setting and beautiful views. The house was extremely comfortable and peaceful and both of the bedrooms were equally comfortable. The views are probably one of the best in the whole region and for the most part, the temperature was comfortable, especially under the fans. I am a mosquito magnet, but they were manageable with bug spray and citronella candles and the mosquito nets on the beds kept them at bay all night. We loved all of the birds and Alvin regularly brought treats from the gardens! We are all avid hikers, but the first afternoon after lunch and swimming at Anse Mamin we decided that multiple trips up the hill was not something we were looking forward to, so we ultimately rented a car. This may not be the best option for everyone, especially if you are not comfortable driving on narrow, unimproved roads, but we survived unscathed! We mostly ate out at some of the delicious local restaurants and cooked our own breakfast and lunch in the well stocked kitchen. Definitely ask the locals for recommendations! If you are contemplating using the laundry service, it cost us $40 for the amount of laundry that would fit in a carryon bag, so if you are on the fence, you might want to pack an extra bag.

Paradise Found - The Mythical Bali Hai ā˜… ā˜… ā˜… ā˜… ā˜… In James Michenerā€™s ā€œ Tales of the South Pacificā€ he describes a perfect imaginary island called ā€˜Bali Hai.ā€™ No one really knows where the mythical and mystical place really exists. The lure of Bali Hai is, that it can be any island you want. In my mind - it is La Villa Bagatelle In St Lucia. As you arrive and stand on the top, tile covered stone step, the view of the Caribbean Sea and Pitons will take your breath away. The views were drop dead gorgeous. The arched stone entryway lead to an old wooden door and astounding views. The open air living room was always awash in bright sunlight. The fourth wall was absent and open to the Caribbean Sea. The two bedrooms were downstairs with louvered doors opening to the sea. Every night we would fall asleep to the sound of the gentle sea, tree frogs, tiny insects and sometimes the soothing rain . The bedrooms had comfortable beds with gauzy mosquito nets, old antique furniture and plenty of storage space and two spacious bathrooms. Upstairs there was a comfortable daybed for naps, a hammock and plenty of seating space in the living room. We spent a lot of time listening to music, taking naps in the daybed or swaying gently in the hammock. I made breakfast every morning in the kitchen. The kitchen had more or less everything I needed. We had a very hard time tearing ourselves away from the Villa and going to the beach. The best part of the Villa was the staff. Charmaine, the concierge, took excellent care of us and helped us with our Tours. Mr. Benton and his team of drivers, took us all over the island. Alvin the gardener, kept the outside tidy and provided us with fresh coconuts. Verlinda and Sharon, the cook kept as well fed. Verlinda made a delicious meal for us one night. She cooked rice, chicken curry, vegetables, dasheene, green fig salad with salt fish. Delicious! Sam was a delight to work with. He was very thoughtful and responsive to all our needs. We could not ask for a better person to book through We loved the pool and also meeting the resident cat ā€˜ Shadowā€™ with her two cute kittens. We felt so much at home. Suggestions- 1) Anse Mamin Beach is better than Anse Chastanet 2) Dinners- Hummingbird restaurant, Dasheene , Boucan , Marthaā€™s Tableā€™s , Trou au Diable I cannot tell you what a wonderful time we had at the Villa! THANK YOU for everything!!

This is THE BEST place to stay in St Lucia! Beautiful house with unbearable views of the Pitons and sunsets. The property manager Sam went above and beyond expectations by calling to answer questions and helping ensure everything was perfect. He arranged a great drive for us (Germel) who drove us everywhere and helped make sure we enjoyed every minute. Vern is an amazing cook and we loved getting to know her. Alvin was also such a nice guy, kept the house running l, helped us with activities and is ac wealth of knowledge. Take your hiking equipment and Alvin will take you hiking the Pitons. Such a perfect home in paradise.

This villa is very beautiful, with an amazing view, and is well decorated with a very helpful staff. We had to arrive early due to potential bad weather at home and the property manager was very helpful in finding a place we could stay for a few days before we arrived at the villa. Germel was always cheerful and helpful when driving us where we wanted to go and taking us on a tour of the area. The pool helps you cool off when you need it. Alvin helped us book a boat tour. Since it is an open air villa, there is no AC but the fans really helped. It would be helpful to have a few more throw pillows on the sofas to make it more comfortable. We opted not to walk the 15 min to the beach since we are older. The kitchen was well equipped and the Weber grill was great. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely Get Away

All in all a very beautiful property with amazing and relaxing views. Nicely appointed home. Just wish we had a bit more intel upfront on the property so we could have packed and planned a bit better for our trip. Things we would have liked to know. (1) The property is 100 % open air with no air conditioning - would have packed better clothing options. (2) If you rent a car, get a 4 wheel drive - the property will be hard to access with front or rear wheel drive. Best option is to have a taxi driver which was great. (3) During the week day, the property has a grounds keeper and house keeper onsite. Great people, but work noises woke us up.

Amazing View

We decided to go with this property based on the pictures but honestly it is way better in person. There is a lot to do on the island but you could stay on the property and enjoy the pool and view. Benton and his wife were our drivers and they were friendly and on time, every time. The restaurants and beaches were about a 20 minute walk down the hill. You could walk back up but we chose to get a ride. Not many places where we went took debit cards so bring plenty of cash, the atms didnā€™t work most of the time and had low limits when they did work. My wife and I loved the place and would definitely recommend to anyone

Paradise

To wake up every morning and have a view of the Pitons and the ocean, it was truly magical. All the staff were very helpful with excursions, restaurant reservations, or dining in. So private and beautiful. We loved the villa and canā€™t wait to return.
