Welcome to the Bayou Get-a-way!

Perfect for families to get away from everyday life and still enjoy the comforts of home life.

3 bedroom, 2 bath home. House sleeps 10 people. bedrooms have queen beds, a dresser and closet. 1 bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds, a dresser and closet. Towels, wash cloths and hand towels in both bathrooms.

Bathrooms are full size with a tub/shower, toilet, sink/vanity and closet. Washer and dryer in hall closet (fullsize). Full size dishwasher, stove, fridge and microwave in the kitchen. As well as plates, cups, bowls, silverware and pots and pans. 4 chairs and a table make the kitchen complete. Bar area has 4 bar stools.

Living room is spacious with 2 sofas (one with a queen sleeper) and a 36 inch TV. Cable and WiFi.

Porch has a table and chairs. Outdoor area under the house includes a bar, tv and table and chairs. BBQ Pit. Perfect for entertaining! Ample parking. The perfect getaway!

If you need more space we also have a camp right next door that sleeps 16!


Bring your boat or jet skis!
Boat ramp and dock on property. Ramp accommodates up to a 40' boat. 8-10 min idle out to the Jourdan River. About 30 mins from Ship Island. Public boat launch is right next door.

Ample parking. Lots to do in the surrounding area. Casinos, beach, Golf, Waterpark, Shopping and much more! Its The perfect getaway!

REMINDER: We do not allow pets, smoking is allowed outside only. You must be 25 or older to rent. No parties.

The host was welcoming and answered my questions in a timely manner. We loved the view of the Bayou and sitting on the porch. The mattresses were uncomfortable, and the pillows were thin and cheap. We also were not able to cook as the pans were nonstick but scraped up and not safe. As a courtesy, I tried to set the clocks, all six of them to the correct time, as when we arrived they were simply decor and didn't tell time. Several of the mini blinds were not installed properly and fell off when I tried to open them. The door knobs fell off in my hand on the laundry closet doors. The unit is very cute but needs some TLC and a deep clean. Otherwise we enjoyed the proximity to the coast and Bay St. Louis is an adorable town.

My husband and I love to fish and were coming to Bay St. Louis for a wedding so we decided to stay a few days on the water. Excellent communication, location and space for our needs. Literally, just a 5 minute ride to Bayou Lacroix and then another two minutes to the Jordan River. The home had all kitchen and bath supplies as needed. No children were with us but I did see plenty of board games to use. Quiet canal which was nice. We will definitely return.

This was a perfect stay for 6-8 people, maybe more if you have children that will pile into bunk beds. We loved being right on the water, and the neighborhood was very welcoming!We would choose this host again if we come back to Diamondhead!!

Perfect Get Away

This property is in a great location. Easy and quick boat ride to anywhere in the bay. The house was very clean and had all that we needed. The owners were super nice. Would love to come back next year.

Host has 3pm check in on the listing but day of sent a message outlining a very strict 4pm check in time. We came from out of town and had planned for the 3pm check in so it threw off our schedule. Front door does not seal when closed so we had a few issues with tiny bugs and some mosquitoes. Close to the beach and has all the usual things youd expect from a rental. House sways a bit when people walk through the halls whoch was a little weird to feel.

The house

When we arrived we didnā€™t have the code to get in the house. For some strange reason the door was left half way shut. The cleaning could have been better. I think the owner needs to visit and do a walk through and update a few things. The outside grill is broken couldnā€™t grill as plan. So yea we made the best of our weekend but definitely didnā€™t go as planned.

Engagement weekend

The house was very clean. It was in need of updating. The house was lacking in cooking supplies and bath clothes. We had 1 1/2 rolls of toilet paper for 10 people. The dining chairs had broken legs. The lamps had no stems to turn them on. The door didnā€™t close or open good. Also one of the members of our party were looking to buy a place in the area. The place across the bayou was for sale so we went across to check the place out. The place had cameras on every corner but since he was looking for a place he never thought that checking the place out would offend the owner to the point that he told him through the camera system that he needed to call the number on the sign and get off the property. RUDE!! Is all I can say. And come to find out the place we were staying in was his too!! I will never rent from this owner again!!

Ok for a small older house

House was not ready for check in at 4 but we were offered a later checkout. the "private boat launch on the property" was not private and apparently was offered to other houses to use so there was no where to park the boat when on the trailer. The exterior door doesn't close properly, the toilet was wobbly, the sink was cracked, the house shook way more than normal for a short camp when you walked. Bed made noise every time you shifted, and the mattresses are all uncomfortable. House was clean, couches are nice, place just needs some work.

Great Rental

This was a nice rental and Iā€™d stay here again! The 2 negatives I would give for this property is the BBQ grill is old/rusty charcoal open pit like youā€™d find on a campground, it was not a grill like youā€™d have at home. The 2nd was the table and chairs set downstairs was rusted and not usable. The location & neighborhood was good, the on-site boat launch and dock were nice, the house was clean, spacious and comfortable.

Switched at last minute

We had booked and paid well in advance of the check in date. We were told we would receive the code the day before. We did not receive the code and my wife contacted the leasing agent and was told the house was double booked and since the other people had more people in their party we would have to accept another property. We told them we had family in the house across the street and that is why we booked this house. We went to our family members house across the weekend and didnā€™t see anyone at the house we rented. The house we got had numerous safety issues and other issues inside the house. Be careful when booking this place

Week stay

This property was not half bad but it could be better with a little attention to detail. Softest beds in the house was in the bunk room. The no tv in the bar area was a bummer. There was a few things in the home that could be fixed to make the place better. All n all not a bad place to stay for a week. The charcoal grill is more of a park style grill than a home style bbq grill burns way to hot . Be careful in the storage room downstairs and behind the bar.

Por que o anfitriĆ£o escolheu essa propriedade

We bought this house after Hurricane Katrina. It was completely gutted down to stud walls and completely remodeled. Recently we decided to put the home up for rent so others would have the opportunity to enjoy the area as much as we do.

We have always enjoyed being on the water. When we discovered Bay St. Louis in the summer of July 1998 we knew this was going to be where we spent our summers with our boys (back then ages 5 and 2) now ages 20 & 17.

O que faz essa propriedade ser Ćŗnica?

We love to fish, whether its on the river or in the gulf. We also enjoy our time hanging out up the river on the sand bars where we meet great people. Also sitting outside in the morning and enjoying the quietness and breeze on the porch is such a luxury!
