Want to get that true grounding experience? This is a working farm. Morning and evening chores are a great time to get close to the animals. Connect with the owners about shadowing them during these times to learn more about the goings on at the farm. Guests should be comfortable around large dogs. Our Livestock Guardian Dogs have access to the entire farm 24/7.

No matter what the weather brings, the property is in the path of many migrating birds. The State Park (Lake Corpus Christi Recreational Area) is located a short drive away. The Bayfront at Corpus Christi is 35 miles from the farm, with the Northwest edge of the city just 26 miles. Padre Island National Seashore is another 25 miles from the city. Other points of interest are the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge (60 miles) and Rockport (50 miles). The King Ranch is 40 miles to the south east. And San Antonio is 90 miles to the North. The farm is only 4 miles from the small town of Mathis and 12 miles from Orange Grove, Tx. You'll find grocery stores, restaurants, gas and other shops in both. It is also about a 15 minute drive from some of the more popular wedding venues, such as Dancing Elk Lodge.
