Located on highly desirable Lake Avenue, and just a stone’s throw from the shops and restaurants located at the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor!

Just down the street is one of Santa Cruz's most popular beaches, dog-friendly and lifeguarded Twin Lakes Beach, where you can reserve a fire-pit at night to stoke up a roaring bonfire, play some volleyball, or just relax at one of the outdoor tables on the sand of the seaside cafes and restaurants nearby. Just steps away from Snug Harbor, you may choose to rent a kayak or paddleboard at the Kayak Connection, or stop in for dinner at the Johnny’s Harborside Restaurant. After the Harbor activities wind down for the day, you’ll appreciate how quiet this neighborhood is at night, as you relax and enjoy the comfortable amenities within the Snug Harbor.



Welcome to the Snug Harbor in Santa Cruz.  This is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home that has recently undergone a complete remodel with emphasis placed on efficient and thoughtful design and offers nearly unobstructed views of the boats drifting in and out of the Yacht Harbor. The interior is bright, clean and cheerful with skylights positioned throughout, and lots of windows offering full frontal views of the Harbor. A large dining table with cozy breakfast nook will accommodate up to 6 persons comfortably, and the cozy living room area is appointed with casual seating for viewing the large flat panel HD TV or listening to music while enjoying the warmth of the fire. The kitchen is well equipped for preparing a home cooked meal and the enclosed courtyard with covered patio seating is a great place to relax, dine and BBQ. The two bedrooms open up to the sunny courtyard featuring a tropical outdoor shower with warm running water, and the extra-large backyard is fully enclosing. Additionally there is a southwest facing patio seating that has been neatly landscaped with comfortable lounge seating while offering wonderful sunset views of the Harbor.



Additional Pet fees do apply, per pet. Dogs must not exceed 45lbs and must be more than 1 year old. If you feel your situation regarding your pet warrants reconsideration of these guidelines, please contact the Beachnest office.

We had a wonderful stay. Property manager was incredible at keeping us updated upon check-in, and was very accommodating/kind. The location is perfect. We have two kids and the proximity to the beach was a quick walk for all. The house included pet bowls and pup waste bags - which was sweet.The kids room is big enough for four, and included a TV - which our girls loved.We'd certainly rent again.

Love it at Snug Harbor!

Family and pooch just love this house. Location is perfect. Short walk to beach and great restaurants. Short drive to Boardwalk. We have stayed here twice now and can't wait to come back!

Wonderful, comfortable little house

With harbor views and efficient use of space, Snug Harbor is an apt name for this rental. We loved the outdoor areas as well. The location is great and if we can, we will try very hard to come back.

Awesome place

Easy check-in and out process. Very accommodating and when wanting to extend our stay we were able to! House is more upgraded than what the pictures showed. Plenty of space and amazing view. Very good location. Definitely looking to book this place again!

Lovely getaway

The pictures did not do it justice as we considered the backyard an extra "room" . The fluffy towels and great shampoo made us feel like we were at a luxury hotel. Fantastic location - can't be beat!

Beautiful view of the harbor

Great location to Beach and Dining. Enjoyed every minute. House was perfect for our family and small children. Everything we needed was included. Will definitely book again.

Charming beach house

Well appointed charming harbor house. Close to everything. Bikes and beach chairs included in garage. Great walking and bike paths near by. It was perfect for my husband and me with our dog. Met all of our expectations.

Great Place & Location

It was perfect for our family of 3 —any more and it would start getting tight. Wonderful location within walking distance of harbor, beach, market & restaurants. If the weather is nice, plenty of room outside for entertaining. All the interior amenities you’d expect. Safe & Clean.

Perfect, cozy spot

Everything was so clean! The sheets smelled fresh. The towels were fresh. The beds were super comfy. The backyard is gorgeous. TVs in the bedrooms for privacy if you need to relax a bit in your own. The location can’t be beat. 5 minute walk to the beach. The Crows Nest restaurant is a great spot to grab a drink.

Comfortable Gem in Santa Cruz

This location was the perfect holiday getaway for my wife, dog, and me. The house was just the right size, and everything inside was laid out perfectly. Everything we needed and more was readily available. Also, this house was immaculate; we've stayed at many rentals, and this location was the cleanest house ever. The location is perfect; you are a few walking minutes away from the beach, harbor, trails, restaurants, stores, and more. My family will gladly stay here again in the future. I can't recommend it enough!

All in all it was fine. The dishwasher didn’t work so we could not run dishes. Also, the Nextdoor neighbors parties until the early morning. Not very quiet.

Wonderful stay

We rented last minute - the property managers were wonderful with my questions. The site is spectacular across from the yacht harbor and a short distance from the beach and great for scenic walks with our dog - this property allows dogs. But it’s pristine and doesn’t have a dog smell or vibe. Well-stocked kitchen (thanks for coffee!) sumptuous towels and linens. All in all a great long weekend. Fireplace made the rainy parts of the weekend very cozy! We loved it. Our family in town made more of it for other guests!

One of the Best in Santa Cruz

We have rented no less than 10 properties in Santa Cruz over the last decade and this one tops the list as the most fun for our family of teen girls. The location is central to so many activities - beach, harbor, lighthouse, the Boardwalk, surf spots, etc. are all a walk or short bike ride away. With this in mind, the owners have generously provided bikes, beach toys, chairs, even firewood for beach bonfires. The square footage is small but there are 3 outdoor areas to spread out so we never felt cramped and honestly very rarely were indoors. The layout works well and the bunk room has a heavy door that blocks out noise from the rest of the house so the kiddos can sleep. A few things to note that may be relevant is there is no air conditioning which is common for Santa Cruz homes. There are only a few weeks out of the year it is needed but should you happen to be there during one of the few hot weeks you will feel it. Also note that the entrance is up a full flight of stairs so those with mobility challenges may need support. Overall a super fun and comfortable stay. One of our favorites so far in Santa Cruz and we have done many. Thank you for sharing your snug harbor home.

The house is cute, well-equipped with everything we needed. I do recommend that the toilet be looked at, it seemed to refill itself every 30 mins. We liked staying here and will be back
