The screened porch on the 2nd floor was a great place to sit and enjoy the view of the lake. It was very peaceful and had a secluded feel, even though there were other houses nearby. The lake was an easy walk away.

This property is outstanding! Beautiful setting and lovely home that has everything you could possibly need to enjoy a fun getaway. Check-in is a breeze and the amenities are plentiful. We wanted to stay at a property for some relaxation and this property was gorgeous inside and out with breath taking view and nature dream. We had such a wonderful time in Spicewood while attending our niece's wedding. This property was the perfect spot for my sisters and I. We enjoyed the most relaxing afternoons going for walks, reading books, napping and recharging before and after the wedding. From the comfy beds, to the well stocked kitchen to the outdoor oasis with its cowboy pool and tree swing to that amazing master bath with the sky view...we felt so pampered and left happy. Thank you, Carla, for this beautiful retreat and much needed green break.

There could not be a more gorgeous and serene place than this rental. The description is absolutely correct. The owner is so incredibly nice and accommodating and caring. So great at communicating too. We had our wedding in Spicewood and this rental made it an even more special trip. All pros! Easy check in and out process, TVs, exceptionally well stocked, beautifully well maintained gardens. If you forgot something it just might already be there waiting for you (body wash, kitchen things, etc). Can’t wait to come back!

My family had such a lovely time. We stayed here during wildflower season and the weather was absolutely perfect. If I could give a host more than 5 stars I would certainly do if for this host! ACCOMMODATING beyond words! I had some friends from Canada come to town and we needed to go to a 60th birthday party at a friend‘s house up in Spicewood. I got so lucky when we found this house there was only six minutes from their home. This house was fantastic we end up having a third couple stay with us, so with three couples, we thought maybe it would be tight. Absolutely was not, this house is spacious and lovely. Extremely clean! All the beds were extremely comfortable including the pillows, higher and sheets and blankets. I felt like was at my own lake house! Beautiful scenery, amazing wildflowers. I could go on and on… I highly recommend this location for anybody looking to book a getaway from the city! Thank you! We will book again!

The place and grounds are beautiful! It also was the perfect setup for our family. The dogs had plenty of space to explore with our young daughter in a safe gated area. Outside the gate, the grounds were also well-maintained. We enjoyed spending time at the place, and especially appreciated the kitchen with plenty of spices and availability of high end cookware that allowed us to enjoy more time at the place. Carla (host) was also very kind and responsive prior to and during our stay. We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning again.

Carla’s Lost Cove was a special experience from the moment we booked. Carla is the consummate host and it only got better when we arrived. The property was immaculate and well stocked with everything we needed, and the views were spectacular. Our favorites were morning sunrise and coffee on the screened porch, the comfy couches, blankets, and bedding, as well as cooking outside and the terrific porches. The perfect lakehouse to unwind and relax at.

From booking to departure, Carla was in constant communication. The home itself was perfect. Each room is a separate suite, with each having its own bathroom. The views were amazing. The property is secluded and very peaceful at night. Our puppy enjoyed the stay the most, having multiple acres to explore and run about. Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

I purchased this property in 2005 as a family retreat. After hectic work weeks in our cities - Austin, Houston and Shreveport - we spent family time on the water - swimming, boating, skiing and fishing -, cooking, and staying up until the wee hours playing dominoes, cards and board games. Always with the family dogs - mostly labs and shih tzus, but a few dearly loved mutts. During the meteor showers in August, we spread blankets, turned out the lights, and counted shooting stars. When the weather turned cold, we made a big fire to burn a year's accumulation of brush and roast a mountain of marshmallows.

I'm grateful that we were able to make such special memories. Now I want to share this place so others can make their own memories.
