Beautiful Home on Home Again Trail 3BR ski in-out. 5 star home, 5 star location

This beautifully appointed home is the kind of house that you walk into and say “wow!” . (Please read the reviews - our past guests have given better details than I will here!). 6 adults, or a family of up to 6 will enjoy 4 beautifully designed floors that flow perfectly in the home. Each of the 3 spacious bedrooms are on their own floor and feature their own full bathroom. (If you have little ones and would like to have them stay with you in the loft area just outside the master suite, just let me know. We are happy to work with you on the maximum occupancy).

Our home is ideally situated on the Home Again trail. This is a true ski in - ski out (or hike, ride, or just enjoy the scenery) destination! (The location still blows us away, it’s so perfect!). Literally ski or ride right up onto your deck! We are also just minutes from Whitefish lake and the incredible little town of Whitefish, Montana! Our repeat guests tell us this may be the very best location on the mountain!

This wonderful 2600 square foot townhome has been beautifully finished in authentic Montana Mountain decor, and features an open living space that includes a beautifully appointed kitchen where you can create your own meals or gather around the large kitchen island for cocktails or cocoa. There is a beautiful dining area centered around a live edge wood and iron table, or you can cozy-up around the fireplace in the great room that includes a deluxe entertainment system (Samsung TV, Amazon Fire TV stick with access to YouTube TV, Netflix and Prime TV, Google Chromecast, and Sonos Bluetooth stereo system) and the best entertainment of all - watching the snow fall while skiers and snowboarders pass right by your backyard on the Home Again run. In the summer and fall months you’ll enjoy the back deck which looks over the home again run where you can relax in the comfortable outdoor furniture, outdoor heater, cocktail in hand - and listen to the birds (or just the quiet of being away from it all), and watch outdoor enthusiasts enjoying the Home Again trail, or families of deer grazing on the grasses. A gas barbecue will be your go-to.

Lovingly furnished and decorated with thoughtful details throughout. Spacious guest suites feature all new beds, pillowtop mattresses and wonderfully dreamy bedding. In the bathrooms, heated slate tile floors are a dreamy treat for cold, tired feet. Softest ever towels and bath rugs are a luxurious treat.

The Upper floor Lockoff Master Suite has a King Size Bed, full dresser, and walk in closet. The Master Suite bath features a soaking tub, steam room and dual sinks. There is a full loft overlooking the great room as well as it's own private deck that offers a view of the Home Again run and a peakaboo view of the ski mountain, especially lovely when the mountain is lit up when night skiing is open.

The Queen Suite, on it's own private floor, is bright and inviting, with a new Queen Bed, full dresser and its own walk in closet. The Queen Suite features a spacious bathroom generously outfitted with double sinks, its own jetted soaking tub and separate full shower room. The sunny, south facing private deck overlooks the quiet neighborhood of Wood Run. On clear days you will be enchanted by the sweeping views of Great Northern and Glacier National Park. (This is my favorite place to catch a nap and a few rays of vitamin D on a sunny afternoon!)

The "Bear's Den" on the ground floor features an incredibly soft queen size bed, a full dresser and ample closet. Full bath includes a beautifully tiled shower. Also on the ground floor is a cozy family room with 55" Samsung TV, Amazon Fire TV stick and another Chromecast - a great place for the kids to watch movies or play games.
The Great Room is sure to be your favorite space. We’ve decorated with our favorite things; from art from local photographers and artists, to furnishings new from incredible. American artisans auto a few treasures refurbished from their prior life at the Yellowstone Old Faithful lodge! We’ve provided soft throw pillows and blankets for cozying up with a good book (we’ve provided some great reads and beautiful “coffee table” books), or a puzzle or family game.

The kitchen ——we LOVE to cook, and think you’ll understand what I mean when you experience our kitchen. We’ve equipped our space entertaining and gourmet meal prep. Here are just a few of the deluxe bits we’ve stocked for you:
- Spices and condiments that cover almost any recipe…let me know if you’d like a photo for your shopping list
- Cuisinart dual coffee maker with full drip 10 cup pot and single cup keurig option - coffee and k-cups provided
- A Breville milk/cocoa frother will turn your morning coffee and a foamy treat, and will make real chocolate flake hot cocoa (We’ve stocked Williams Sonoma cocoa for you!)
- An OXO spiralizer so you can prepare healthy zoodles and other spiralized veggie treats
- Pie/cookie baking essentials
- Mini Cuisinart food processor
- 4 slice toaster
- Blender as well as, citrus juicer, hot water pot, and more!
- Cocktail bar essentials including bar tools and just the right glass for your favorite concoction

On the ground floor, the Laundry Room is equipped with full size front load washer and dryer. Iron/ironing board are available if you need them (though we can't imagine you will!). We’ve supplied you with laundry necessities so you don’t have to bring your own.

Our favorite "surprise" on the ground floor is our own "ski locker" room. Heated slate floors make getting ready for your day on the mountain a pleasant experience. Ample locker space for 8 people provide a place for hanging jackets, helmets and gloves, and pull out wire-mesh drawers keep all of your gear organized (and dry) in one place. Trust me, you don’t know how much you need a ski equipment room until you have one - putting your boots on in the comfort of your own warm home (instead of in your car) is them off at the end of the day is even better!

The REAL TREAT is your own private 8 person “bullfrog spa” hot tub! This is apres-ski, TRAILSIDE style. At the end of your ski day, you can relax with apres ski "bevvies" in your private “on the trail” hot tub and watch skiers go by on their final run of the day. We’ve provided a mini-Bose player that you can Bluetooth connect to your mobile device and listen to tunes while soaking in your hot tub. Our concierge team will keep the tub clean and fresh for your stay. If you ever need additional service, just let us know!

Note that we do not offer Garage access at this time. (This is where we are storing our car and our personal items). Thank you for understanding. Parking is available on our driveway for 1 large vehicle, or 2 smaller vehicles. There isn’t any street parking in our neighborhood due to snow removal and fire access regulations. There is free overflow parking within walking distance across our back/trail or a short drive (1-2 mins). We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause - wanted you to be aware of this in advance of your stay!

We've tried to think of everything you could possibly need for an all season mountain vacation of your dreams. We LOVE it here, and want you to love it too. A 7 minute drive is all it takes to get to downtown historic Whitefish - or a free ride on the Snowbus or a short taxi or Uber if you decide to let someone else do the driving. The treat for staying on the mountain is both the beautiful drive with views of the valley up the mountain highway, and the incredible quiet you experience up here, away from it all. The surprises you’ll find up on the mountain are the activities available to you at the mid mountain and lower mountain lodges…all within walking distance from our home, (skiing in the winter, zip-lining, trail biking, and taking the scenic trip on to the top of the mountain on the summer lifts). The Bierstube and the Hellroaring Saloon and Eatery are a great stop for lunch, and a special multi course dinner at the Kandahar lodge - all just a short walk right from your home.
