Brekkukot, Luxury Farmhouse stands on private property in Akrahreppur Skagafjordur North Iceland.
The road to the house is about 2 km from road sign Brekkukot on the highway no.1
Brekkukot is situated in a beautiful countryside, where the birds sing and sheep and cows are grazing in nearby fields. Beautiful farmland is around and prospective visitors can enjoy observing traditional farming, sitting on the terrace of the house. Brekkukot is full of all the equipment and the facilities needed to experience and enjoy the peace and quiet. The house has been fully renovated inside and out. Brekkukot is my home. Rented out entirely. Will not rent single room. The permit issued by the Commissioner Northwest is for 10 people. Ideal place for families or group of friends who wants to stay away from other travellers.
In the house;
Accommondation for up to 10 people. 3 double rooms, 2 sofa beds and 4 bed mattresses available.
Linen is included in the rental price. Beds are made up for 6 guests. Bathrobes are available. Plus, you can get the linen on the mattresses and a sofa bed for use in total for 10 people. If guests request extra linen it costs 4000 isl. kr. pr. person (1 blanket, 1 duvet, 1 pillow and 1 sheet)
Free WIFI, Smart TV and blu ray player.
The basis of the breakfast is included such. tea, coffee, milk, juice, cereal, bread, butter, etc.
In the kitchen; dishwasher, double oven, ceramic stove board, refrigerator, freezer, coffee maker, Kitchenaid mixer, kitchen table for 10 people, baking products, dishes and more.
2 bathrooms; toilet paper, soaps as well as a towels, hairdryer, toiletries, among other things.
In the laundry room; washer, dryer, clothesline, iron and ironing board, shower, toilet, sink, towels, toilet paper, soaps, hair dryer and cosmetics, among other things.
The house is geothermal heated in the floor.
Fireplace in the living room, sofa and chairs.
Barbecue on the terrace as well as a furniture.
Plenty of parking within the property boundaries.

I´m self-employed and have been working with the tourism in Skagafjordur since 1998 and my company name is ahsig ehf. Áskaffi in Glaumbær Skagafjordur Heritage museum I have operated since 2001. Brekkukot, this place I bought in 2012 and is now ready for gests who wants to relax and enjoy the moment in good surrounding. Hospitality is my goal. I welcome you all and look forward to see you.

Brekkukot Luxury Farmhouse offers a brand new geothermal hot pot in the spot, a wonderful epitome of relaxation, rejuvenation and general well-being. We offer 2 float hats for floating in the water for even more relaxation and to enjoy watching the northern lights.

Free breakfast. Breakfast is included in the price you have paid for the Farmhouse.

Brekkukot Luxury Farmhouse is located on the ring road nr.1 in Skagafjordur, northwest Iceland, 10 kilometres away from Varmahlid with glorious view and good location of the Farmhouse makes it ideal for excursion trips within 200 kilometre distance in North Iceland. It takes 1 hour to drive from Akureyri airport to Brekkukot.

Brekkukot's residence permit is for 10 people to stay at one time. The Farmhouse is not rented out one single night. The rent fee for 2018 is 130.000 ISL (VAT included) for 2 nights on weekends from Friday to Sunday. And the same fee is for 3 nights from Monday to Thursday. And then you can make a longer lease, for example 1 week.
It is not possible to rent a single room. Only the whole house.
