Perfect place to stay

Wonderful place to stay. Comfortably fit a family of 5. Located within walking distance to everything. Would definitely stay here again.

Girls Weekend Trip

The location was ideal in Old San Juan; very clean, we emailed about an extra blanket, request was handled immediately. Highly recommend a stay here. I would definitely stay there again.

Great place

The property was fantastic. Walking distance to everything we wanted to see. Only downside street noise was incredibly loud, made it hard to sleep.

The location was stellar! Close to everything we wanted to do in Old San Juan. That was awesome! Other reviewers were right- it is extremely noisy up to 2:00 am. Only one couch and two rolls of TP, for three people, for four nights, wasn’t super comfortable, but we were only in the room to sleep….when we could. Host was good to work with. The keys/code system were challenging, especially after dark. Good place if you are there to party late.

In the heart of Old Town San Juan

We stayed here two nights and enjoyed our time in this sweet apartment nestled in the heart of Old Town. During the day walked to all the sites. Staying at this space, we were never more than a few blocks from whatever we needed: the market, restaurants galore, and a late-night drink. The master bed was like a memory foam and oh-so comfortable and cooling.

Perfect for our family

This was exactly the vacation we needed! Perfect location! It was a little loud at night, but I felt rested every day, so I’ll take it! It was a beautiful historic apartment, and we made memories for a lifetime! Thank you so much!

In the heart of Old San Juan

The location is ideal to walk around town and be near everything you want to see and do- the forts, great restaurants, shops and a grocery store located on a cute town square! They warn you it can be noisy and it was a bit but not as bad as we were prepared for. Hosts were very responsive!

Perfect Location

This is a beautiful apartment. High ceilings and decorated with class and style. Located in the heart of Old Town, close to shops and fun restaurants. It has everything you need. It was perfect for us! Agatha was great. Very responsive!

Perfect Location

The apartment was very clean and well stocked with things like cleaning supplies, coffee, tea etc. We felt very safe and secure there in downtown Old San Juan with a locked gate for the building and another lock for the apartment itself. The location was perfect with a coffee and pastry shop right around the corner in the Plaza de Armas.

Perfect location, common space not very comfortable

The location of this property is perfect for exploring Old San Juan. We enjoyed it very much. The bedrooms & bathroom are fine but the common space is uncomfortable & awkward if you want a place for more than 2 people to congregate.

Perfect Old Town Location

It was our first time to San Juan and we wanted an Old Town location. This home was perfect, well placed, spacious, and they thought of everything; Beach towels and chairs, chargers, even ear plugs ( as this is next to the most happening street in the City). Agatha was a responsive host, we felt welcome and the the set up made us feel secure. Everyone enjoy our stay and others who saw it were jealous. We recommend Villa Azulejo

Old San Juan charmer

Historic property right in the center of Old San Juan. Walkable location near Cathedral, night life and several restaurants. Clean space with nice air conditioning. There is a lot of outside noise due to the convenient location and historical building. Bring earplugs and you’ll be fine! It was fun staying in the city center.

Excellent Location

This property is seated on one of the most well known streets in Old Town. The Villa sits perfectly between a bar district and town square with a pharmacy, grocery market and plenty of dining options. Some of the best tourist stops are walking distance from the Villa Azulejo. The property was thoroughly cleaned and had fresh linen. The kitchen was properly stocked with plenty of cooking material making it easy to save $ during our trip by cooking for the kids, rather than dining out every meal. This location was perfect for saturating our children in a new culture and settling them in comfort, to embrace new surroundings, outside of their American mainland bubble.

The noise level coming off the street should be strongly highlighted in the listing. My family was not able to sleep due to the extremely expensive noise that didn’t end until after 3am each night. This definitely put a huge damper on our vacation… how is one supposed to have a nice vacation when you can’t get a decent nights sleep. It was as though all the street noise was happening inside the apartment. Unless you’re there for the night life… do not stay here.

Good option

This villa was a fun option for our girls trip, however, if you're looking for a quiet property, this is not the one. It is very loud on Fri/Sat nights due to its proximity to downtown, which is not the biggest issue if you are also coming home at 2am like the rest of the town. The location is great for day time exploring of old san juan and going out at night. The bunkbed room was pretty musty, visible mold all over the walls and no ability to open the window to freshen the air. besides that, we had a great time and dont regret staying here.

Great location!

Great location for parties, bars, restaurants, and exploring old San Juan. Excellent and easy check in and communication. The apartment is generic and cheap Quality, but good for the price. Beds are NOT comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped but lacks general cooking needs like oils, vinegar, salt, sugar, coffee, tea, etc that would make cooking there easier. As noted in other comments, apartment is LOUD. We are heavy sleepers and it was worth it to be in the center of all the festivities for NYE, but would definitely not recommend this apartment for light sleepers.

The villa was beautiful and very clean. The property Managment team failed to give notice of the construction happening next door. Horrible soundproof windows and walls. I could hear everything from inside and outside the house, same applies to the listing. I highly recommend the owners to invest in sound proofing and adding curtains. We did not sleep at all and the construction started at 7am. Last thing, the shower only had warm water.

Not for us

Space did not have a table with 4 chairs or a toaster as se saw in the picture. Very loud at night due to bar across the street. Police came to break up bar issues. Ice maker did not make ice. Only 1 hook for towels for a family of 4. Wish we had earplugs for both rooms. Found some the last day in a drawer. We would not stay again.

Hostel-like Stay

This is the perfect place for those looking for a place to crash in a good location with, maybe 2ppl. The furniture set-up isn’t conducive for more than that. The person “assigned” to us from West Indies wasn’t responsive at all with the a/c that didn’t work and had an error code on it. The street noise that everyone talks about in these reviews is intense. I can hear every single conversation and every car radio of those that drove or walked by. It was like they were in the room with us. The beds were comfortable and the location was good but those are the only two positives from this experience. I wouldn’t rent from West Indies again and wouldn’t rent here again. It’s a crash pad, at best. Not at all worth the money.
