We had a very enjoyable 1 week stay at the Converted Church. Perfectly positioned a short drive from Bellingen’s many great dining options in one direction, or the beautiful beaches in the other.The house was very well appointed with a quality kitchen with all the tools you need to cook up a storm. One of the highlights of our stay was sitting down to dinner in the outdoor living/dining area - the view of the gardens, river and rural outlook coupled with the thoughtfully designed lighting created a memorable atmosphere. Jody and Daniel were the best hosts you could hope for. Talked us through all the essentials, shared their advice on local dining and sightseeing and were very welcoming to our children, inviting them to help feed the chooks, and even baked bread together! They operate a great local business, Bellingen Canoe Adventures, from the river on the property - we had a lot of fun on the rapids adventure, Daniel shared some amazing photos he captured of us on the adventure.Bellingen’s a beautiful town and this is the perfect base to explore it or just relax at the house - keen to return.

Pet friendly, amazing hosts. Had the most relaxing new years. Kitchen was great. Bellingen had some great places to eat and only a very short drive from the converted church. Would recommend the Bellingen canoe adventures to see the cows crossing the river.

Short and sweet

Super Hosts, we were there for 3 nights and took in the best of the area, rapid canoe with our family of 7 was excellent, the rivers were pristine in the area, the F&B in the area was first rate and the accommodation suited the stay perfectly.

Group stay

Beautiful location, spacious quirky house, lovely garden, fantastic well equipped kitchen. Not for those with disabilities due to the stairs and two separate buildings. Entrance door is difficult to open and main bathroom shower hot water is only warm. We enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely amazing !

Perfect setting for destination wedding. Host(s) Jody & Dan were wonderful, very friendly & helpful and the property is very special .. we have rebooked for next year to relive the experience and enjoy without the wedding hype !

Bellingen beauty

Wow great sprawling home with huge outdoor decks facing lawn ,river, pastures ,hills & cows Plenty of outdoor furniture & blankwts for our family of 8 adults & 4 children. Inside as well the kitcheh was huge with so much cutlrey, crockery, glasses sausepas & even a cold press machine to juice the oranges from the orchard. However I feel for the amount of monwy we paid & extra foe s hool holidays there could have been coffee pods or a proper coffee machine as we all have them & I have 4 baristas in the family. More teas please especially herbal The house is open which is great for entertaining as the huge dining table is next to kitchen & pool table area but the 2 bedrooms upstairs are open too...no doors which is a problem when you have babies & toddlers. The extrnsion with the media room & beds is great & downstairs the main bedroom & ensuite is great! For a big group or family the property is amazing as there are many games ,pool table kyak hire ,lawns & the firepit is amazing!! Bellingen & the national park are nearby. The host were very responsive &^ welcoming. The star was their dog

The beautiful Bellinger

This house is a gem ! Beautiful location on the river with a nice lawn for cricket and frisbee! Kitchen fabulous and fully equipped, better than usual accommodation. Jody looked after us well. We were a family of ten and fit quite nicely. Loved the pool table : table tennis. Highly recommended.

Beautiful property

The property is gorgeous and the hosts are very easy to deal with. Family friendly activities available on site and family attractions are within a short drive.

Gorgeous spot, well equipped house with character. My favourite area was the outdoor lounge overlooking the garden and the river. It was great for two families. We did canoeing twice on the river outside the house. We canoed 90 mins down the river and were picked up at a designated spot. Another day were were dropped off at Bellingen and then canoed back to the house. It was a relaxing stay and lots to do in the area. Very welcoming and helpful hosts.

What a magical spot

Great location for groups, well sorted kitchen, and a wonderful outdoor area. Host lives on site in a separate apartment, but you'd never know it, we really felt free to use the space as we wanted.

Fabulous Setting

WOW! What a place - a truly unique and inspiring home with the most incredible outlook. As the owner lives onsite and runs a kayaking business from the same property we had issues around privacy, with a couple of kayakers walking into the downstairs bedroom asking whether that is where they should be changing their clothes! There is also a no-key policy for the back door of the property, which given the high rate of strangers walking through the backyard was a little disconcerting. If security and privacy weren't an issue we would book this property again!

Unique accommodation with some significant flaws

The accommodation had almost all the necessities for a holiday stay. The house lacked adequate ventilation and this caused problems when the weather was really hot. The house was often covered in cobwebs and creeping with insects of all sorts. The host was very welcoming and nice however this did not do justice to the expensive cost of the accommodation for the value we were provided.

Perfect tranquility

This property provided a beautiful and serene setting for me and my friends. The kitchen was sensational and the spaces were well thought out. The owners were warm and professional.

Absolutely Amazing!

I have travelled the world and have not found any property to be better appointed, or with a better view. If you enjoy a lovely ambience and spectacular outlook, this is the place for you. Wonderful to walk down the stairs, across the grass then down to the Bellinger River to swim or canoe.

Perfect place to elope !!!

We had the most amazing stay. Jody & Daniel were fantastic hosts. They went above and beyond to make our stay incredible. We eloped and married in their beautiful grounds that the house/ converted church over looks and it was the most perfect location to elope to. Thank you so very much for allowing us to get married at your beautiful converted church xx

Great location for gatherings. Owners very pleasant amazing property with great history.

Property had enough space and break out areas for our group. Gardens were amazing house amazing beds comfy kitchen was equipped with everything you could need
