Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. We’re glad you enjoyed your time at Superior Attitude and were able to relax by the lake. It also means a lot that you left painted rocks for us, they were a very thoughtful surprise, and we truly appreciate the gesture. We did want to clarify a few things for future visits. The layout of our home is actually very typical for older lake homes in the Keweenaw area. Many have been expanded over the years as families grew, resulting in unique floor plans. We do our best to show this clearly in our listing photos so guests know what to expect before booking. Regarding air conditioning, our listing does not advertise central AC, as the area is usually cool enough that fans and the lake breeze are sufficient for most of the summer. We understand there are occasional warmer stretches like the one during your stay. We’re happy our property manager was able to help you, but we do ask that guests avoid contacting her outside of business hours for non-emergency questions. If a true emergency arises after hours, our contact information is provided in the welcome book, and we’re always happy to help. We also ask that the exterior garage lights remain on for safety reasons. Finally, while we love sharing our family cottage with guests, it is still our personal family home, and we appreciate everyone treating it with the same care and respect they would their own. Thank you as well for the suggestion about curtains. That’s something we’re actively working on, along with repairing the pocket door in the bathroom. We appreciate the feedback and are glad to hear you had everything else you needed during your stay.
