The Summit Condominium complex is located in the Village area, just steps across the private parking lot to the stairs (long, steep) leading to Village Central and the slopes.
We suggest riding FREE shuttle.Ours is a privately-owned condominium with spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated casual rooms where guests can relax in front of the beautiful, cozy, warm propane fire place (no fire wood to carry)with a good book or a favorite TV show after a long day on the slopes, hiking, cycling or sight seeing. Relax in front of the fire, Ah-h-h. We provide a top notch kitchen with all appliances, large and small, blender,crock-pot,coffee maker(Keurig single cup/full pot combination). Spices, coffee creamers,sweeteners, and chocolate mixes are provided for guest's use. We leave excellent CA wines for those who would like to 'exchange,' just let us know. There are games,cards, and novels available for children and adults...if you don't finish a book you are reading,take it home with you.
The Summit has gone through a $1.5 million+ renovation to the 4 buildings and landscape in the past five years,and we regularly upgrade our own unit and amenities to assure our guests a comfortable, relaxing visit. A short walk to good restaurants, and entertainment (game room under the dome w/mountain climb and skate boarding for the kids and a comedy club for adults,)or ride the FREE Snowshoe Hare(shuttle bus,)any place on the mountain and to Silver Creek where tubing and Night skiing are available.The bus stops in front of the Condo every 15 to 30 minutes from 7 am until 3 am. There are many weekend activities through the ski season and during the summer months, events such as Blues, Brews and Bar-B-Q's week-end,The Wine and Jazz Festival,and mountain bike races, to name a few. We are a short drive to some of the finest white-water rafting in the U.S., the Cranberry Glades(a natural prehistoric forest created during the ice Age,)the Cass Scenic Railroad where folks can ride the old logging, steam engine powered train through the mountains and Greenbank Observatory, home of the world's largest movable radio telescope..
Thirty percent of our previous guests have returned each season and begin making reservations for ski season in June & July. Rental rates are reasonable. Give us a call, e-mail, and check us out on VRBO, we would love to have you visit.

Caroline was prompt to answer questions. The condo contained all the items needed for an enjoyable stay. Conveniently located and shuttle bus pick up right outside your door was a bonus. Seeing the wildlife off the back was nice as well. Was a perfect stay for our family.

Great location

Perfect location to access the village without paying village prices. Shuttle service to the front door was perfect. Definitely will be staying here from now on.

Fireplace not working

I'm disappointed that the description says fireplace when it hasn't been working for at least a month. It would have been nice to be notified of this in time to book a different property. Property manager is a little slow at returning messages but she did respond. They replaced the microwave and left the old one sitting on the floor. Asked for it to be removed but nobody showed up. The new microwave rotating plate doesn't fit so things bounce around inside.

Lovely Holiday Weekend Stay

The property was in stellar location, the shuttles servicing this property were fantastic as well. My biggest critique is to take better pictures of the property for the listing on VRBO, the pictures do not do it justice!

Everything you need and so close to everything

My friends and I loved this place - great communal hang out space, nice kitchen and the rooms were decent sized. Couldn't ask for more.

Not too bad

Fireplace was broke. Top drawer in master bedroom wouldn't close. Base heater in dining room wouldn't work, but living room heated open area enough for us. Thought the front bedroom had a queen size bed, but 6'2" son-in-law disagrees. Outdoor temp felt like -10 degrees, room got cold, couldn't find thermostat for front bedroom had to resort to extra blankets. Thanks for the blankets. Otherwise it was a great stay. Perfect size for our little family. Found everything we needed.

Abhorrent communication, unresolved issues

We stayed over the weekend and very much enjoyed the access this location had to the Village and other Snowshoe locations. This spot was nice, warm, and large enough for our needs. We even contacted the owner about an earlier check in as we had folks from out of state driving in and wanted to make sure they were able to unwind and rest after their long drive. The owner was pleasant and informed us we could enter earlier than the 5:00p check-in so long as housekeeping had finished. Though we enjoyed our stay, there were several maintenance items that did not appear to be kept up with. Firstly, the fireplace did not light. We attempted to contact the owner to see if there was information not shown online or in the unit about how to turn it on, but she never responded. Second, the wall heater in the entry way is missing the button to turn it on and off, so it was out of commission the entire stay. There were several lamps in the unit that were missing their light bulbs and the television in one of the bedrooms was missing its remote and wouldn’t turn on. There was also a sauna in unit that was not advertised and did not include instructions that we attempted to use, but it took over an hour to reach a normal sauna temperature (approximately 100 degrees fahrenheit). We contacted the owner about all of these things. Then, when we were leaving, we found that our car had an unauthorized parking ticket stuck to the windshield. Great for a Group

We were pleased with the convenient location of this place! Our group of 7 found the apartment cozy and enjoyed sitting together in the living room. Well stocked kitchen was a nice surprise- we had no trouble cooking here. Thanks for hosting! We would stay again!

Christmas at Snowshoe

We were very pleased with the property. Well equipped , clean , easy access to slopes . Only downside would be rooms are small but for the time spent not a big deal. Look bigger in the photos.

Noce cozy condo and great location

Our family had an enjoyable time staying at this condo. Very cozy. The kitchen was well stocked and had all the amenities that we needed. Location is great with nice views and loved watching the deer every morning. Great communication with owner.

Just what we needed

Had all the amenities we needed. Great communication and easy check in/check out. Plenty of room and a nice big dining space to host our family and friends. Easy walk to the village and lifts. Would come back!

Our family has been skiing and enjoying Snowshoe for many years. We looked at numerous complexes before deciding to buy at The Summit where the condominiums were spacious and comfortable for our family of six. Our home in Huntington, WV is surrounded on one side by the Ohio River and on the other by the Big Sandy River, summers are hot and the humidity is 85 to 95% 3 months of the year. We love the cool, NO humidity summer weather on Snowshoe Mountain as well as all the snow in winter and have enjoyed many family gatherings and the friendly homeowner community.

We were a family of 6 that loved fly fishing, golfing, skiing and photography. Though we had traveled and vacationed in many places at home and abroad, we fell in love with the beauty and variety of activities available in the mountains of West Virginia. Our extended family and many friends were buying property at Snowshoe or in the surrounding area and after several visits, we began looking for a place of our own. That was in 2003, we are now a family of 2 but our adult children and we still love our mountain home and gather there for family and fun times summer and winter.

Our condominium is spacious yet cozy and comfortable; cool in summer and warm in winter, a place where the whole family and friends can reunite. You can stand on the deck during any season and see more stars than you ever thought existed, photograph the beautiful mountain vistas and a multitude of wild life, WV black bears, red foxes, white tailed deer and if you are lucky, the elusive and beautiful Snowshoe Hare, brown in summer and white in winter.
