Comfortable & Fun 'Lake House #1' Just Yards to Marina & Lake Access

Get away from it all in this comfortably furnished Lake House with all the amenities including satellite TV. Relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. Enjoy the many species of birds and other wildlife.

(As of now the access has been blocked by the Corp of Engineers)

This home sleeps 10. Beds are bunks with 2 full size and 6 twin beds. Six bunks. Full kitchen just bring your food and drink. Towels and linens are also provided. Fishing and hunting trips also available year round.

Golf carts are available for an extra rental fee

Eclipse 2024 family reunion

It was beautiful and private! Hosts were kind and available! Wish the grilll had worked and there were more kitchen tools (like a cutting board) but otherwise an amazing time!!! Thank you!!

Trip with grandkids

The yard was nice, the house needed updating and a little more cleaning, the restroom was not good at all no sink you have to use kitchen sink. Shower did not drain very well. Two bedrooms means two rooms in all. Over all everyone did enjoy there self.

This house was originally built by my husbands grandparents back in the 50's. We have done several updates and find it quite cozy. Sorry the bathroom is small, pictures show it's only a toilet and small shower. That is how they built it. Glad to see you did enjoy but I'll check my description because pictures show it's just 2 rooms. You may want to stay in a hotel next time since I had to wash you towels everyday or rent one with a washer and dryer. Thank you

Perfect Getaway!!

Best place to get away from the hustle and bustle of your every day life. The house is cozy, charming, and full of all the necessities you could possibly need. Comfortable beds, clean linens, a nicely equipped kitchen to prepare your meals, a strong shower, cold air conditioning, the list goes on and on! Dean took great care of our family during our stay. He told us about all the great spots to check out on the lake. My family enjoyed the huge covered patio to grill, to eat our meals, play washers, watch a little TV and just relax. We really enjoyed the bonus of the golf cart to take us to the local gas station (which had everything) and to the marina. Overall, we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. Thank you Dean!

Overall good for last minute

Disliked that we couldn't use the fireplace when it was cold at night and the small heaters in place were not sufficient. However, still able to have a good time with family. Outdoor setup was great with firepit, grill, and chairs.

A Great Place To Stay

They Let You Use There Golf Cart ((mule)) To Go To Their Private Part Of The Lake Where You Can Fish Off Of A Couple Difficult Docks & The Lake Where You can Swim Is Less Then 15 Minutes Away & Is Free Right Now The Only Complaint Is The Bathroom Is Tiny

Great place to stay!!!!!

I have to admit, I waited too long to book, and basically this was the only property available within my price range. To be honest, I was a little apprehensive about it's size, as I had my entire family including grandkids with me. Well, we were blown away!!! The owners were the nicest Christian people, my wife and I have ever encountered in dealing with Home Away. The covered Patio was great, the house was arranged with bunk beds where everyone had a place to sleep. The owners really keep the property up, and they actually have several properties to rent (all nice). My family and I will definitely be back. Oh and they refunded our deposit promptly.

An excellent cabin for relaxation

We stayed at the property October 20th through the 22nd. My first impression upon entering the house was "WOW"!!! It is truly a outdoors man's paradise. The kitchen and bathroom were clean and tidy with no evidence of bug infestation despite the numerous shade trees surrounding the house. The beds were comfortable as well as the living room furniture. We spent most of the time outside enjoying the spacious patio with the big screen TV. There was plenty of freshly cut lawn for our dog to play in and the fire pit was a relaxing addition. We enjoyed Smores after grilling a steak dinner on the propane grill. What a yummy experience. The ginormous ATV, which seated 6, provided hours of fun. We explored around the lake and even made a run to the local convenience store a time or two. The owner made sure there was plenty of gas in it for us to enjoy our time in it. We were really sad when our weekend came to an end. It was a very enjoyable and relaxing experience and we are looking forward to returning.

Nice Property but - ROACHES!

We were really pleased when we first walked into this cabin. It appeared clean and well appointed. We were a party of 8 adults, 1 small child, 1 infant, attending a family reunion over Labor Day Weekend and had plans to entertain one night on the attached pavilion... a perfect place for our BBQ and being a family of musicians/singers, to listen to some great country music. We were unable to do either. Three of our guests wouldn't stay in the cabin because of the infestation of cockroaches. We weren't comfortable with food preparation in the kitchen because of the bugs as well. No one was comfortable using the shower because it was crawling with them. We made an attempt to kill as many roaches as we could with Raid, but barely made a dent. All of our plans were moved to other locations. Very disappointing. When we returned home, all of us had to empty our suitcases outside to be sure we weren't bringing roaches home with us... that's how disturbing the infestation was. The owners need to ensure the property is fumigated before it is rented again.

Best place in Texas

This place was amazing. We have everything we need and more. Right by the water. Owners are super amazing people that ensured we had everything we could possibly need. This place and owners far surpassed anything we could have expected. WILL be going back... ALOT

So Much Fun!

There is so much to say about this place! For starters, this listing does not do it justice, Ms 'K' is being modest! We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of amenities this place has to offer! There were 10 of us on our Easter weekend trip, 5 adults and 5 kids and we all slept comfortably with room to spare! The living area of the cabin was roomy enough for us all to snuggle for morning cartoons, there is plenty of seating, a very cool coffee table and plenty of fascinating decor! The a/c units blow COLD and there are plenty of heaters throughout for when its chilly in the early morning and evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped, plenty of towels, good coffee and there were ample toiletries. Lets talk outdoors, the patio is huge with several tables and chairs, a grill, an ice maker, a TV, fans, fire pit and firewood! There is a paved parking area large enough for 3 vehicles and paved road in front of the cabin that the kids enjoyed riding their bikes and scooters on! The property is somewhat secluded, surrounded by gorgeous nature and the neighbors are not too close so you have your privacy. Included with your stay is a 6 seater hunting "golf cart" that you can drive down to the water, over to the store, nature exploring or just a simple joy ride; another kid fave!!! That was a huge bonus, kids LOVED going for rides and well so did us grown ups, never laughed so hard! Mr and Mrs Stovall were next door and available to answer questions when needed. They were friendly, generous and GREAT hosts! If you are looking for a weekend getaway to relax and enjoy nature then this is your place!
