Beautifully decorated Condo with 180 degree views of the Gulf of Mexico at El Taj Ocean This is one of the largest and most beautiful 3 bedroom/3 bath condo facing the beach, with a wrap-around balcony, This gorgeous 3 bedroom unit with 3 separate bathrooms is located directly in front of the beach offering unobstructed views of the ocean. It is conveniently located next to the aqua spa lounge and just 1 floor above the large glittering pool and swaying palm trees. Dishwasher, Washer/Dryer, Full Kitchen. This unit has a wrap around private terraces including a private Jacuzzi with access from the living room and master bedroom. The living room has curved windows facing the beach plus two large sliding glass doors leading out to the private terrace. The terrace also has lounge chairs and offers a dinning table for romantic sea side dinning. Features include a colorful sophisticated décor throughout the unit. Soak in your own Jacuzzi, while gazing at the bright tropical stars while enjoying the mist and sound or the ocean waves. Condo also has a washer/dryer. and there is a king-sized bed in the master bedroom. The second bedroom has a king sized bed, and the third bedroom can be set up with twin beds or a king-sized bed.

Perfect vacation spot!

We were thrilled with our stay at El Taj. The condo was spacious and clean. The location, just a block off 5th Ave, was perfect, but still quiet. The staff at the hotel was very helpful and we would definitely stay here again!

Great condo in great location

Great condo. Loved the private beachfront hot tub as well as easy access to the swimming pool. The condo was very nice, clean and well stocked. All the top restaurants are within walking distance. Great vacation

Amazing condo and location to downtown

Beautiful 3 bedroom condo which is literally one block from the night life and shopping. Right on the ocean with lovely views and the perfect jacuzzi for night time relaxing. Gorgeous pools and grounds. Highly recommend this place! Staff was also very nice and accommodating. Also included free parking in the onsite garage which was an extra bonus since it allowed us to retain a car for the week.

Quick Getaway

Everyone at the resort was great. Good restaurants within walking distance. Would have given 5 stars but there wasnt really a beach. There was a small strip of sand and not a place to go into the wayer.

Hot Spot in Playa Del Carmen

This was a great spot if you want to be in the action. The sargassum was annoying, but that was because there was a big storm when we were there. They clear it out pretty quickly.

Dia De Los Muertos

We planned a visit to check on my daughter who is staying in Playa for an immersion program. This place is so plush and beautiful and like a hidden oasis. It was perfect for our weekend, even if the weather didn’t cooperate for us to be able to visit the beach! We got to see 5th ave on Dia De Los Muertos and it was so fun. Awesome location. Easy checking/out process. Awesome staff. Perfect for our needs!

Great location, Great staff but............

I got to know the engineering staff quite well due to numerous equipment / appliances / fixtures being broken or in disrepair. All were eventually fixed and was only bearable as I was working remotely. If one is on holiday, you shouldn't have to invest your time into managing property repairs. In fairness, I was told the unit was not used extensively due to Covid and in any coastal environment, the salt and humidity takes its toll. But that should not be the renters issue. The on-site Property manager also cited supply chain issues which has reeked havoc globally. Completely understandable but not what was bargained for. The property Manager did offer a rebate for the inconvenience. The Beach / Bar staff was phenomenal. Although the beach is very narrow. The VRBO images are from years ago. The beach in front of El Taj in very narrow. Maybe worth looking at Google Earth for current condition at your booking window. Finally no reflection on the facility as they can't control this but the entire Riviera Maya has a seaweed issue. Check calendar for most severe window. it was a minimal issue the first 3 weeks but from March 17 on, in our case it, became problematic and very odorous. The unit would be great if properly maintained and again, the staff was fabulous and attentive!!!!

Wow! The view and perfect location

What an amazing property. The pictures are exactly as they seem. This condo-hotel is a wonderful experience. The master king bedroom literally looks at the Ocean, as does the living room. The secondary King has a view as well, though slightly obstructed. The pool and cold jacuzzi pool are also exactly as described. The condo-hotel shares a beach with fishing and diving boats, which makes swimming from the beach club challenging but not impossible. There were small children building tiny sandcastles, but there is not much room on the beach. We dove four times with Phantom divers, their dive shop a 3-minute walk from the condo and we had an amazing experience. I suspect the fishing is equally as good, as we would watch the catches come in daily. My family of 5 stayed here for four nights and we really enjoyed it. The location of the condo in proximity of the fun streets of Playa to wander about is simply perfect. You are close to the crazy bars, but not so close that you hear them when you want to go to bed, and everything felt very safe the entire time. The beds are super firm, and the hotel staff is impeccable. I would definitely recommend this spot.

Beautiful view and lots of room

3 bedroom, 3 bathroom direct oceanfront unit at El Taj oceanfront exceeded our expectations. The entire staff is amazing! Laura C. took great care of our room! Stephanie at the front desk was extra friendly and efficient. Marian, the concierge was very helpful in booking transfers and covid tests. We are looking forward to coming back to Playa in the future and will certainly return to El Taj!

Nice Beachfront Condo

Very nice and clean condo right on the beach. We really liked how close it was to the center of town and all of the restaurants, clubs and shopping. We would highly recommend to friends and family.

We have our own beach club, Asi Beach Club. The food is delicious and the staff is the best of all the beach clubs in Playa.

There are numerous restaurants right on the beach and lots of places to get chairs, drinks, etc. You can walk south for about 2 miles, but after that, there's a number of all-inclusives are, so there's not as much to see.
On the beach you can have a massage, do boogie boards, parasailing, wave runners, etc. Snorkeling and deep sea diving and fishing are very popular. If you want to go snorkeling, I'd take the ferry to Cozumel (rated one of the 7 best in the world) and go snorkeling there. You can also take a tour bus or rent a car once in Playa and go south to ancient Mayan ruins or a water park that has snorkeling, tubing in an underground river, and swimming with the dolphins. My son and his girlfriend went zip lining in the area and raved about it.

You don't need a car because you can walk everywhere from El Taj Ocean. We walk to restaurants, bars, the ferries, the grocery store, the dentist, etc. You only need a car if you want to go off-site for something. Even zip-lining comes and picks you up.

Fifth Avenue is about 3 miles long, is pedestrian only, and has open air restaurants and shopping. You can walk up and down and find a place you want to eat dinner or go shopping.

No other property in Playa del Carmen has the amenities, the perfect location, the attentive staff or the architecture of El Taj Ocean and our sister properties: Magia Beachside, El Taj Beach, and Maya Villa.

Our condos have beautiful architecture, high ceilings, zoned air conditioning, ceiling fans in every room, full-sized appliances and large kitchens stocked with cookware, blender, toaster, coffee maker - everything you'd want to make you feel like it's yours and not a hotel room.
Through our concierge you can arrange to have your condo stocked with food or beverage for your arrival, hire a chef for the day and many other services.

Playa is very European - half the tourists are American, the other half are a mix from all over the world: South America, Asia and Europe. You don't need a car and can walk everywhere.

You can walk to Wal-Mart or Mega from our condo-(6 blocks). I know how that might sound, but they are great stores with fresh food. We typically walk over there the first day (in the morning before it gets too hot), and buy fresh fruit, wine and snacks. We then have breakfast on our balcony. Before dinner we open up a bottle of wine and have drinks and snacks on the balcony.
