We had a wonderful visit at the Kingfish Cottage! Yes this is an older home vs some of the newer homes, but the walk to the beach is perfect, the home is spacious and perfect for a family or group, and overall we had an amazing Labor Day weekend! Highly recommend!!

Check-in was a breeze, having 2 well-stocked kitchens was a plus for our group and no problems with Wi-Fi. We loved the backyard and parking plus easy beach access.

Spacious and accommodating. It has everything you need inside and out. If you cant find upstairs, check the garage... there's extra everything...towels,washcloths, pillows, blankets, etc...Plus, there's beach stuff and bikes. Wonderful host!

Beach vacation 2025

Wonderful home. We fit three families comfortably. The showers were phenomenal, especially after being in sand all day. Kitchen was stocked with all the necessities to cook all the meals during the stay. It was walking distance to the beach! Great vacation.

Cannot recommend

Many dirty dishes upon our arrival. Kitchen was disheveled, dirty, and overcrowded providing no room for guest food in pantry. Rust was present everywhere, both inside and outside. Several rooms had ceiling water stains and the bathrooms had mold present. I would not say the property was distressed, but it really needs much maintenance and repairs before it should be rented out. We looked into staying somewhere else upon our arrival, but nothing similar was available, so we were stuck. This is by far the worst rental home we've stayed in during our ten years of using VRBO. The home is very close to the beach, has very nice decks and balconies and a nice little backyard, so it has great potential, however it needs much work to be an acceptable accommodation.

Spring Break Trip

Location of property was great! Super close to the beach and walkable distance from majority of bars and restaurants. The provided beach items and extra amenities were extremely helpful with our stay. We really enjoyed the large amount of space to hang out and get some rest. The kitchens weee also helpful for cooking meals. Communication with host was excellent. Any minor inconvenience was taken care of or addressed in a timely manner. Only issues we ran into were small inconveniences with cleanliness but was no issue to take care of. We would stay here again!

Much needed getaway.

This place was PERFECT for us. Great location. The house was exactly what we needed. If we didnā€™t have it, it was there. Grocery store and coffee right around the corner. Beach close by. It was cozy and homey. Already planning another trip and will use this place again.

Fun in the Sun!

This property was spacious & only a short walk to the beach. Any issue was quickly addressed by the contact. We did encounter a bathsuit.bottom left on the shower rod, but disposed of it & went along with our stay. Overall i would recommend this property to a yone!

Great Location

We had a great time for the second year in row plenty of room for our family. The unit was clean and plenty of linens, the girls really liked the two washers and dryers in the wash room. Easy beach access right down the street. We will book this unit again.

Great for families

We had a wonderful stay! We traveled with our two littles, and great news, the master closet and bathroom can each fit a pack n play! Woohoo! So if you are needing a darker space for your little one to sleep for naps , the closets are bigger than they look in the photos :) The host was very responsive , we had a question about the AC and she sent someone over asap, really appreciated how quick it was addressed. The location is perfect and walking distance to the beach, she has all the beach toys, chairs , umbrellas etc that you could want to borrow ready to be used in the garage! Also had a wagon that was really handy for taking strolls with our little guy in . The pantry and kitchen was well stocked, all the cookware and serving dishes you could need plus lots of spices too. Really enjoyed our stay !

Need cleaning

The property was spacious for all 8 of us. Weā€™re a clean/neat family and some of the things we saw was disgusting. The floors still needed sweeping. The plates in the cabinets and microwave was dirty. There were objects left in drawers in the bedroom. Dirty tissue left on one of the beds. The air vents, bathroom fan vents and ceiling fans were very dusty. There were little black ants everywhere. We had to go buy spray. Guests should not leave condiments and other items behind if used, thatā€™s gross. There were only 1 face towel per bathroom. We went and bought more. The white towels need to be thrown away and not rewashed constantly. There are items that need to be thrown away and not re-used. This property needs a deep cleaning. I was so happy to leave this morning.

We were 2 families. I love the layout of 2 separate condos into one that's connected. There were no problems, great communication, laundry supplies, beach fun...everything was good and no complaints. Thank you for hosting us!

Location was AWESOME!

Went to SPI with my family and my parents, as well as my sister and her family. We had such an amazing time. There is plenty to do just being at the rental! Home location was so close to beach access and property had plenty of beach toys as well as a wagon to haul all of our things! We will definitely book here again. NO COMPLAINTS!!!

Great place to stay!

The whole property was clean upon arrival. Great convenience to the beach, less than 2min walk from beach access. Fantastic amenities with outdoor shower to rinse off after a day at the beach. Owner has great communication with timely responses. I would definitely recommend to stay here to anyone and look forward to staying here again!

We love this house because of the location. The cottage interior is cozy and spacious, perfect for large groups of friends or family!

O que faz essa propriedade ser Ćŗnica?

The front porch provides a great place to take it easy while you take in the world. You can just see the ocean in the distance, and closer in, the folks walking to the beach provide people-watching entertainment.

On the summer weekends, the porch provides a great view of the Friday and Saturday fireworks.

SPI is one of the premier kite-boarding sites in the world, with enthusiasts coming from as far as Hawaii(!) for the exceptional beaches and the Laguna Madre.

It's also, obviously, one of the best sport and saltwater fishing destinations in Texas. You can go deep-sea fishing for about $1800, fish the Laguna Madre for redfish, trout, and flounder for about $350, or fish off the jetty or in the surf.
