Update: NO FLOODING in or around the cabin from the recent storms. Misty Falls is a beautiful one-bedroom (Honeymoon Style) authentic log cabin that sleeps up to five people. The cabin is located in the Great Smoky Mountains Arts and Crafts Community, minutes away from downtown Gatlinburg. The cabin is secluded yet close to Gatlinburg, making it an ideal place for a private romantic getaway. The cabin features an open bedroom on the main level with a handcrafted king-size log bed and full bath with stand-up shower and large Jacuzzi tub. The lower level of the cabin boasts a pool table, TV, washer/dryer, and a futon. You can also enjoy free unlimited games with our Mulitcade arcade game table. The cabin has a full kitchen and a hot tub on a private covered deck. Misty Falls is perfect for those who enjoy the adventure of hiking or roaming through quaint shops. There are lots of unique dining and shopping opportunities in the area for you to enjoy. Please note that pets are not allowed. In addition to all these amenities, guests at Misty Falls frequently spot wildlife such as turkeys and bears. So if you’re lucky, you might get to see some of these beautiful creatures during your stay!

We enjoyed the cabin however the pool table is very unstable, the hot tub jets did not work. We tried to figure out how to get in contact with the owner to let him know it didn’t work but couldn’t reach him. Maybe there should be a phone number to call/text if you have problems. Other than the things that need attention we enjoyed the cabin.

Quiet, cute, little cabin. We loved our entire stay, host was very responsive in a timely manner. Hot tub was hot even in the cold December temperatures!! Would stay again.

The cabin was very nice. We appreciated the robes for the hot tub and the oversized towels. It was relatively secluded with just one other home in view up the hill. Bed was comfortable and everything was in working order in the kitchen. The driveway is more of a drop from the street than we expected. We were glad to be in a Jeep because of that and the steep winding road down the mountain to downtown. They are not kidding about bears in the area. The proximity to downtown Gatlinburg is nice - not too far to drive each day. We did have damage to our Jeep top on our last night even though there was no food or drinks in the Jeep. Bears kept climbing up on it and tore in to look for food. I suppose this time of year (Nov) is a time when they are looking to eat as much as possible before winter.

Property was just as described. While we didn't use the hot tub, jet tub and some other amenities, everything was just as we expected and we enjoyed our stay.

The cabin is just what we were looking for, back in the woods away from the hustle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. It was very relaxing to come back to the peace and quiet after a long day of touring. It did not disappoint. We even got to see a bear in the driveway turnaround when leaving for dinner one evening! Would stay again.

The cabin itself was amazing a bunch of greenery and had great views. Only issues we had was finding the cabin and the bathroom was very small to fit in. But overall was a very great choice for our stay.

Cabin was very nice and clean. Definitely follow the written directions provided by the host, not the GPS! The driveway is a little tricky. The bathroom is extremely small, I’m 5’6 and weigh 130 pounds and every time I moved I was hitting my elbows on the shower stall. That is my only complaint. We loved the cabin and the stay and we had bear visitors multiple times!

Check in was super quick and simple. The location was perfect and the owner was very helpful by giving recommendations on where we could see bears. My children had such a great time and loved seeing the bears.

High up in the mountain

Property was in a relatively secluded and beautiful forest setting. Challenges for us, door didn’t always lock as we left and there was no way to secure it from the inside when we were there. We were only provided two caffeinated k cups and ten decaffeinated cups. Glad we brought our own.

This place is pretty great. Ten minutes from downtown and yet secluded enough you feel miles away from civilization. Lots of wildlife in the area, so definitely lock your car doors to keep out the bears. We saw 3 bears and one pulled on all of my car door handles to unsuccessfully try and get in. The cabin is cozy and has most of the normal creature comforts. ( tv’s, microwave, coffee pot and a/c.) My only complaint is the shower. It’s extremely small and difficult to wash and move around for an average size person. At minimum, I’d recommend installing a handheld shower head or even better, building a full size shower room in the lower level. Other than that, our stay was great and I would choose this location again for future trips.

Great host, beautiful cabin

It’s very important for us that we do business with good people. This host is very much that! They were pleasant, very communicative and very understanding about a last minute change.The cabin was clean and fun and sooooo cute. It had a nice game room and we loooooved the tubs!! They provided firewood as well. We will definitely be coming here again!

Our family built this cabin almost 20 years ago. When our mother passed in 2021 my siblings and I took it over. We have made a lot of updates and upgrades to the cabin since that time. My wife and I as well as our kids enjoy going up there a couple of times a year, it has always been a special place to us.

The cabin has a lot of sentimental value to us. Our mother had a passion for the cabin and enjoyed decorating it and reading reviews from guests. She did go a little over board with the bear theme, we have scaled that back some and made several updates. We feel like the cabin is in a great location, close to Gatlinburg but still feels like you are in the middle of the mountains.

There are many new cabins that have been built over the past several years. Many are basically log cabin subdivisions with dozens of cabins right next to each other. While there are a few cabins that can be seen from ours, we still have much more privacy than most. It is also a real log cabin, many of the new "cabins" are stick built houses with log siding on the outside.
