Modern Home With Stunning Mountain Views

Nestled on a dead-end road, on a hill with woods behind and stunning Catskills views in front, this home allows you to get away from it all. Kick back on the deck for morning coffee as you watch the birds, with the Catskill mountains off in the distance. Later, take a walk or a bike ride on the rail trail, and across the iconic trestle bridge over the Rondout Creek. Explore the charming, funky town of Rosendale-- the bakery, restaurants, library, vintage boutique, and bookstore. (If you want more antiquing and dining options, quaint High Falls and Stone Ridge are just minutes away, and Kingston and New Paltz are each a 15 minute drive.)

Feeling athletic? Try rock climbing at the famous Shawangunk Mountains. Take a walk around Lake Minnewaska then head in for a swim. Play tennis in town. In the winter months, head to the Catskills for a day of downhill skiing, or go cross-country or snow-shoeing at one of the many nearby trails, or just curl up with a good book in front of the wood-burning stove.

Domestic? Gather fruit for your next pie at a local farm or orchard. Arts and crafts projects for the kids in the well stocked “kids' clubhouse". Dine at any of the area's fabulous restaurants, and enjoy live music afterward or grill up a feast and watch the sunset from the table on the deck.

Beautiful property close to town but surrounded by woods. Feels like you are guests at someone’s’ house where the owners have a sophisticated design sense and care about quality. Kitchen is well stocked. Great collection of books and games. Beds are very comfortable. Host is very responsive and flexible. Perfect place. Hope to make it back there sometime.

The house was tucked back on a quiet road. It looked exactly as pictured and described. The kitchen was full of utensils and spices. We made a large dinner for our family and did not lack in supplies. Allison was very helpful in answering messages to help plan for our arrival and restaurants/markets in the area. The views were absolutely gorgeous. We will return.

Country Christmas

Large, comfortable spaces to enjoy family time. New kitchen with plenty of counter space for cooking and sharing. Sleigh riding hill for little ones, small alcove in eaves for little ones to play. Perfect bay window for small Christmas tree.

Wonderful weekend getaway

We had a very nice stay, the views and property were beautiful. Wonderful for traveling with a baby and 4 year old, there were so many kid friendly touches, tons of toys and even plates, cups and silverware! All ages had a blast.

Great home

We came up for our annual girls weekend. We all went to college together. The house was perfect, clean and cozy. The beds were comfortable, and everything is well maintained. We sat outside on the deck in the comfortable September weather and enjoyed the views and tranquility of being in the woods. We spent the day hiking and exploring the Mohonk Resort. We had a great time, thank you!

Well maintained house near activities. Great kitchen

The downstairs living space was done very well and had everything you could want for any meal. There was even full settings for kids. Only things to point out are only one bathroom upstairs near bedrooms. And the downstairs den does not have window shades and only a pullout bed.

Fantastic Stay

The property was just as listed and Alison was so incredibly helpful. We stayed here during our wedding weekend and it was so lovely to have a quiet space to get away to. After my husband and I left to head back to the city, a tree fell on a nearby road keeping some of our family members from leaving. Alison was so communicative, helpful and understanding. We would absolutely stay here again!

House with a view

We so enjoyed staying here. the rooms were comfortable and plenty of room for everyone in the kitchen. We were even happy there was no TV , we played games and just enjoyed family time. But it was the view that we really loved.

Sophisticated Remote Retreat

This well appointed modern home is in a very secluded setting. What a fun experience to stay in a remote mountain setting and enjoy a well decorated modern retreat. The owner was super responsive - the home an absolute pleasure.

Great view and location; needs updating

We had a fabulous time at this home. The owner was very responsive to our questions. We loved the covered porch for morning coffee and our evening wind-down. The location is 20 minutes from Mohonk Lake and the area was scattered with plenty of restaurants with outdoor seating. The area is incredibly beautiful and we were wowed by the natural beauty. Plenty of hiking available nearby. In terms of the house, it was well equipped and clean but could use updating. Porch seating was uncomfortable. Comfortable patio furniture would have been a big plus for our group. We didn't utilize the trampoline, treehouse or kids music room but I think they would be a plus if we had children with us. Major kitchen appliances were new but microwave and toaster oven were old. Minor disadvantages really. We would stay again because of its gorgeous location and proximity to so many outdoor activities. Check in was easy and they allowed us to check in a little early and stay an extra hour because their rental schedule permitted it.

Fantastic getaway

Very comfortable home and extremely responsive host! Staying in this large home which was well equipped was a pleasure. The kids really enjoyed the toys, games and art room as well as the trampoline. The adults appreciated the views, kitchen and comfortable sitting spaces and bedrooms. The location is great, just a short drive up from main street and easily connected to the local attractions. Enjoy!!!

Beautiful, peaceful house - and lots of fun for kids!

We had a lovely long weekend at this beautiful home. The kids (8, 8, and 3) LOVED the tree house, the trampoline, the ‘music room’, and all the toys and games (especially the marble run). The adults loved the peaceful setting and gorgeous views! The house is extremely well-stocked, with lots of extra blankets, pillows, etc. No TV, but no need for one as there is so much to do nearby - Catskills Mountain Railroad, apple and pumpkin-picking, farms, hiking, drive-in movies, Kingston, etc. - and games to play when hanging at hone! Thank you for a wonderful weekend. :)

Great house in a great place with a fantastic host

We were two families (each two adults plus one 5-year old kid) and it was the perfect size for us. Very well appointed kitchen--great for cooking big meals. The bedrooms felt private. Lots of space outside to play. Great for young kids. The marble run set alone was a source of much diversion (and sharing practice). The host was super responsive and supportive and easy-going to boot. We're definitely looking forward to coming back soon.

Great location and friendly owner

We only stayed for 2 nights but it was great place to spend a peaceful weekend with your friends or family. Located in very quiet location surrounded by woods with spacious outdoor space. Communication with the owner was very smooth and comfortable. Will consider to stay again with more days.

Perfect for kids!

Our family spent a delightful week at this home. Alison was responsive, flexible, courteous, and helpful. I can’t emphasize enough how well-equipped this property is for a stay with kids. Ours (2 and 5) were captivated by the trampoline and treehouse, and enjoyed their time in the art and music room. The vast collection of toys, both familiar and new, completed their experience. Meanwhile, the adults appreciated the spacious and well-equipped home, perfect for spending time both indoors and out.

Beautiful place, great outdoor space

Loved the house - nice living & dining space, good kitchen, fabulous outdoor eating & sitting with great views. Six adults slept comfortably. Hosts were excellent to deal with. The area is fun - Rosendale is tiny & a bit weathered but charming. You can hear the highway from the deck, which marred the perfection just a bit, but this is our fourth time in the Catskills & definitely the best place we’ve stayed. We’re hoping to come back to the same house next year.

Beautiful, quiet and clean!

Our group had a lovely time. The house was equipped with everything we needed. It is so peaceful there. Alison's home makes a great home base for the area!
