Beach Front Getaway – On the sea of Cortez

We have been doing beach house rentals for many years and just added this house. It on the same beach as our other Baja Beach Front Villa home just 2 doors down the beach. Property is ideal for 4 guests and has been completely updated for guests. For larger groups you may book both our houses. Property id 4355273

The Beach Front Getaway house is located in the South Campos of San Felipe approximately 20 miles south of the town of San Felipe in a gated enclave of custom beach front homes. Only a 2-1/2 hour drive south from the California border at Calexico/Mexicali.

Description: Solar powered Off Grid ECO beach front living at its best with Wi-Fi.

There is a house set up fee of $150 US Dollars paid at check in to the local property manger. It includes cleaning, linens, towels, propane and 1000 gallons of fresh water.

The house has a great sandy beach right in front. Perfect for hanging out, swimming and just relaxing. Many of our guest love to paddle board and shore fish. Great views everywhere you look; from the amazing sunrise over the Sea of Cortez to the sunsets over the Desert Mountains to the star gazing at night.

Summer time Off grid AC mini splits in each of the bedrooms available for nightly use and are powered by a propane generator. One propane tank per night will be provided. Propane tank will last about 8 hrs. Alfredo our local property manager will show you how to run the generator.

We fell in love with this beach spot over 30 years ago and now have this great house to share with guests.. If you are looking for an incredible visit to Baja, the real Baja where the sea of Cortez meets the desert this is the place. You will feel like you are a million miles from home and it’s only a 2-1/2 hour drive from the border.

The interior space:

The property has a Baja beach house vibe with all the comforts of home. It features approximately 1200 square feet of comfortable living space with 2 bedrooms 2 baths each with queen beds and a garage for your vehicle. Each bedroom has an AC mini split (available during the summer months). *See section on off grid AC use.

The exterior space:

A covered beach front veranda surrounds the front of the house. This is a perfect place to hang out and relax. Plus there is also about 1000 square feet of outdoor patio space so you can easily sit in the sun or in the shade and have a nice dinner outside.

About our caretakers:

We are very fortunate to have wonderful caretakers to take care of our guests. The house will be opened up, cleaned and inspected prior to your arrival to ensure a great experience. We have had the same people taking care of this enclave of custom beach front homes for the past 10 years.

The place was very cute and spacious. You can walk right down to the beach and see the beautiful sunrise. The mattress was a little lopsided but we were so tired at the end of each day that we still knocked right out. Very off grid and peaceful location.

The full moon rising over the low tide and sandbars was the perfect welcoming first night of our stay. Everything as advertised - and picking shells was the perfect pastime. Quick trip to town for a few groceries and the little store 10K south was very convenient.

Peaceful

Amazing views and quite almost empty beach. The water is warm and clean with very little to disturb you. The house is well equipped and had plenty of towels for sandy feet, very very comfortable mattresses. The area is secluded but just what we were after, close enough to San Felipe and yummy places to eat. Would definitely stay again!

You cannot beat this property for your vacation!

You wake up every morning looking out at the Gulf. What more could you ask for. It is spacious and very well equipped.

What a great spot!

For my GF’s birthday trip she wanted privacy, quiet, a nice beach and some family time (we brought her 10 year old daughter). The beach house delivered on all counts! Highly recommend! You can’t beat this place!

Everything you need for a perfect Baja trip!

We loved this beautiful beach front home! This was the cleanest rental in Mexico we’ve ever stayed in. Everything was comfortable, easy, and good living. Quality furniture, dishes, beds, air conditioning, etc. The hosts and neighbors were all so friendly; we will definitely be back!!!

Great gateway

The location is incredible, just few steps away from the ocean. AC in the bedrooms were providing great comfort at nights. Cleaning and maintenance crew was always on top of our requests.

Peaceful

We had a wonderful stay over Christmas. Sunny days, sunrise over the Gulf of CA, stars at night!, quiet, friendly, and very few people. Could not have asked for a more peaceful location to spent Christmas/birthday week. We may need to make this a tradition.

Awesome beach house!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house on the beach. Stunning sunrises to wake up to. Miles of pristine beach to walk. Going to sleep listening to surf. It does not get much better! I have been going to Mexico for over 50 years and rank this stay in being in my "Best Of List".

Love this house!

Had such a great time at this house we reached out to the hosts to find out if it was for sale. Great location with the volleyball court right next door. If you do not bring a Volleyball you can get one for $10 on the Malecon. Great time, great views. Well kept home with everything we need. Will be visiting again.

Exceeded expectations!

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the hosts and caretakers take great pride in maintaining an immaculate, welcoming space for guests. Every room was spotless, and all the amenities were considered - from cooking utensils, to clean towels, to a paddle board. The attention to detail was evident in every corner. Our stay was short, but thanks to the thoughtful hospitality we (kids + parents) were able to truly relax!

The Peach King

Very nice, the beach has very nice fish,but didn’t catch any.Few days later my father caught a crab as the beach had became a low tide.Couch surfing as VERY comfy as my son slept in it for two nights, and said it was nice. The sand coming up to the houses was really hard, but going down was easy. It was also a little hot.In conclusion this stay was awesome :D.

Super quiet get away

We had a super time. The owner, Joe, was staying with his family just a few doors down. He was personable and welcoming. The house was clean, well designed, and comfortable. We loved that it was dog-friendly. If you want to be right in the middle of the action, this is not the place for you. It is a 30-minute drive into town. For us, that was perfect. We wanted a quiet beach pad. My only criticism was the power. Since the house is off the grid, the only power is solar. Despite trying to be careful, our power ran out three of the five nights. I just had to go start up the generator for a very brief stint in the morning, and it was back on though. Anyway, thanks Joe. We had a great time and will be back.

Enjoyed meeting you as well. Glad you enjoyed the house and the beach. The solar system is set up for the house and is equipped with an instant start quiet generator for guests that need extra power. Some guests run it for an hour each morning.

Perfect beach house

We had an amazing time at this house! The house is a perfect beach house with terra cotta tile through out (we swept each day to keep the sand at bay) and big windows to enjoy the sea of Cortez from every angle in the home. We loved the open kitchen for cooking, the bbq grill on the big back patio to enjoy the mountain sunset views, the beachfront patio to relax day or night and watch the moonrise over the sea! The bedrooms were comfy and the bathrooms were beautiful. We really enjoyed every minute. We only went to town one day out of our 6 day stay to grab a few items to keep us going, there is no reason to leave here if you cook your own meals and make your own drinks, the view and beach can’t be beat! Friendly neighbors strolling the beach daily and everyone waves as they ride by on their atvs! We will certainly be back! We brought some things once I asked Joe what was provided but basically the house has everything you need. The kitchen has pretty limited pantry other than the very basic so bring basically everything - even sugar. There were cooking utensils and sufficient plastic ware glasses and bowls and dishes. We brought our insulted wine cups and glasses for special cocktails in the evening. But we do love our drinks ha! There was enough pots and pans to cook every meal but some do need to be replaced (nonstick pans had serious wear and coating was scratched and peeling off) unless these are replaced I would bring a quality saute pan next time we come. Water pressure was sub par in ocean view bedroom but that may have been because the shower hand held sprayer had a bit of a leak. Honestly just a few minor things that can easily be fixed! We had an incredible time and will absolutely be back!!

We loved it!!!I would have loved to know that this place is not in San Felipe but 30 minutes away to plan a little different my trip but it was worth it 100%. The place is very clean and we didn’t need the A/C because the ocean breeze cooled down the house, the kitchen does need condiments as we had to purchase everything needed for the weekend and left them for furniture guests to use. I recommend this place to anyone that’s looking for quiet and tranquility. The view is breathtaking and the stars at night are just another level of beauty. The ladies that clean are super nice and had the house in perfect condition.

We love beaches and traveling. We have been vacation rentals owners for a few years and just decided to share our favorite beach with guests.

We have been traveling to Baja for 30 years and fell in love with this beach location. It's an amazing place. We get to spend some great family time when we go there and completely unplug. It is one of my favorites spots in the world.

"Our family has been going down to this part of Baja for over 20 years. Our friends stayed in the other home in the neighborhood, so we had a fun group. There is something very special about watching the sunrise over the Sea of Cortez - every morning is magical! We had perfect weather with amazing beach days. Lots of kayaking, SUPing , Beach walks and relaxing. The highlight of the trip was watching baby sea turtles hatch from their nest and make their journey to the sea. This happened on four consecutive mornings about a third of a mile north from the house - we had never seen this, so a bucket list item for sure! The entire week was magical! Can’t wait to go back! Thanks so much !!!"
