Beautiful location

We loved the house and the location. The house had every convenience and the view of the sound and the sunsets were breathtaking!

Right on the sound. Easy to kayak and paddle board right from the back yard. Nice pool and theater room (needs better directions on getting that theater room to work though!).

Heaven’s Gate

Everything about this house is beautiful. The very minor problems we experienced were fixed on the day we asked for maintenance. The views from every room were spectacular.

Breathtaking view

The sound view from this property is amazing! It was very spacious and was the perfect spot for our large family gathering. Walking to the ocean side is not really an option for most people. But it is just a short drive away. The kitchen was well stocked making it easy to prepare meals for a large group. Enjoyed the theater. Spent a lot of time in the pool & hot tub. Had a great vacation here. The name Heaven’s Gate is very appropriate!

Great house with views

Spectacular beautiful views from every angle. Great pool and hot tub area. Kitchen fully equipped, abundance of appliances, including ice makers, cookware and eating utensils. Easily accommodated 22. Theater enjoyed by all. Plenty of living space and large bedrooms. Kayaks were fun. One of washing machines inoperable, the other worked well. Owner was very responsive on washing machine problem. Recommend adding some beach chairs. Great stay!

This truly is Heaven's Gate

We had an incredible 5-day stay at this beautiful home in the Outer Banks with 20 family members, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The house is spacious, with four levels of living space that gave everyone plenty of room to spread out and relax. It’s located right on the sound, and the shallow water was ideal for the younger kids to safely splash and play. We also made great use of the kayaks!The kitchen was impressively well-equipped—everything we needed and more. The private pool and hot tub were definite highlights, and although it was too windy to use the grill during our stay, it didn’t take away from the experience. The home was spotless upon arrival, which we really appreciated.The location was also super convenient. A grocery store was right outside the neighborhood, and there were two basketball courts nearby that the kids (and adults!) really enjoyed.All in all, it was an awesome family getaway, and we would absolutely love to stay here again. Highly recommend!

Great local service

It's been hard to move from dealing with Hatteras Realty to Vacasa, which is a nationwide firm. Many times I end up talking to someone in who knows where that has no idea about the house or the area. However, after not getting satisfaction, I asked them to have someone from the local area contact me. Tom responded immediately and took care of what I needed. The folks on Hatteras Island have always been great to deal with. By the way, the house is spectacular and well-equipped. Even when we had a few needs, the local folks responded within an hour or two. Just goes to show that even when you get bought by the a large corporate entity, you can still do your best to show excellent service. Thanks!

Incredible Place For Large Gathering

10 bedrooms each with their own bathroom. One bedroom is a bunk room, the others are queen beds. The kitchen is perfect for a large group cooking together. Plenty of pots, pans, dishes, utensils, knives, bowls, servers, etc. Large pantry. A dozen cook tops. Ample room to park cars. Lots of seating in the theater. Very pretty perch above all of the decks that is just a fabulous spot for the morning coffee. The place feels newer/nicer than most homes I've rented in OBX (many!). The property is on a bit of a point with views in multiple directions. We rented a fleet of SUPS, Kayaks, boogie boards, and beach chairs/umbrellas from Island Bicycles and they were there when we arrived. Several of us kite and windsurf and the location serves many points of wind. 3 or 4 long tacks upwind puts you into the Buxton Slicks for flatwater fun. Just to the north and not too far offshore is water deep enough for foiling. We fished from kayaks and there was plenty of action using soft plastics and 1/4 oz jig heads. The 3/8 mile walk to the ocean is pretty and is partly on a boardwalk.... or a short drive to a parking area. close to Food Lion, Ace Hardware, gas station, Brothers Deli, seafood store, and bars. You will love this place.

Great house for all 19 of us! We loved the paddle boards and kayaks. House had plenty of room for all of us and the kids loved the theatre room.
