The hosts of this property are wonderful, great communicators, and very hospitable. The property is just as listed, a beautiful location and extremely peaceful. The House is newly renovated, was very clean and comfortable with many supplies provided by the hosts. The private dock is well built and very solid. This is a fabulous place to get away from it all.

Property and cottage were both great. The owners did an excellent job renovating the cottage; the kitchen and bathrooms are top notch. The screened in porch is nice and overlooks the Pamlico river, beautiful! The dock is also nice and super sturdy. But the best part of our rental was meeting and talking with the owners who live next door. They are the definition of southern hospitality. They made us feel welcome.

Amazing riverfront retreat for relaxation! We fished and swam off the dock and relaxed on the beautiful front porch. The hosts are great and the house has everything you need to be more than comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped to cook as well. We will be back!

We travel a lot and use VRBO homes. This home was the best of all we have rented! The thoughtfulness that went into upfitting this property was amazing. Nothing better than a fishing camp style cottage from 1922 made modern with all of the creature comforts but maintaining the historical cabin feel. The screened porch overlooking the river was just one of our favorite locations! All of the things inside provided to ensure we had all we needed- towels, sheets, a complete coffee set up, toiletries, a snack basket and welcome card and so much more.This house is like a well done boutique hotel. We truly enjoyed our time at Riverside and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet respite.

We stayed at Riverside for a wedding we attended in Bath. Riverside was extremely clean and had everything we needed. The location was very quiet and the sunsets were beautiful. The hosts were very thoughtful with a welcome basket of snacks and note that contained their contact information in case of any questions or needs. The cottage was supplied with quality kitchen items, appliances, linens, towels and furniture along with anticipated items you might have forgotten or not realize you needed (like bug spray for mosquitoes). We didn't get to use the kayaks due to rain and wind from Hurricane Isaias but we did catch a couple of fish off the pier before the inclement weather arrived. The screened porch was relaxing and allowed us to stay dry and still enjoy the sounds of the water and view of the sunsets. The hosts seem very intentional in making their cottage feel like home and providing a relaxing and care free experience for their guests. We would love to return in the future.

We had a wonderful time at Riverside. There was everything you need and I can not think of anything to suggest to make it better. Riverside is a beautiful house, yard and pier. The house was immaculate, needed supplies were right there, like trash bags, zip lock bags, plenty of dishes and cookware. The bathrooms were great, large showers and soap, shampoo and lotion provided. There was a basket with snacks when we got there so we did not have to rush out to the grocery store. The pier was great, plenty wide and the dock was a good size. We caught fish, saw dolphins and they seemed to be playing as they went by. We had a great time and all is well : ).

This wonderful clean safe home had original character with all the modern touches .We were greeted with a handwritten note, drinks/snacks basket and a very thought out binder with all info needed as well as a a message to make sure we got there ok and to let them know if we needed anything. The host was very prompt, accommodating and attentive and thought of all the extras (forget something drawer-toiletries, firewood, a fully stocked detailed coffee bar, sunscreen, and spices). They provided linens and towels, full length mirror, hairdryer, make up remover towels,as well as baby equipment. We enjoyed lots of activities like swimming, crabbing, bird watching, sunbathing, fishing (caught speckled trout and founder), kayaking(kayaks and life fest provided), enjoying s’mores on the fire pit, relaxing in jetted bathtub, settling down with a glass of wine, watching sunrise with morning coffee, unwinding at sunset in rocking chairs and enjoying hot chocolate. Overall this is a truly amazing property and greatly appreciate the opportunity to stay there, my guess is we will be back. Also I would not have complained if it rained while we were there- I would have loved to hear the rain on the tin roof.

Riverside is the most well appointed and delightful VRBO that our family has every visited. It was perfectly lovely inside and out, was new and clean and comfortable. Every detail was thought of...and some I would have never thought of! Highlights were coffee on that fabulous porch with the breeze, sunsets on the dock and the firepit with family. Beds and pillows were so comfy. Kitchen has everything you might need. Kayaks were an added bonus and such fun! Owners were so helpful in every way. Go to relax, unwind and find some peace and quiet! What a joy and a gift! Thank you, Riverside!

The Easter Bunny even made an appearance!

We had a wonderful stay and truly enjoyed our time here. The home was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up with great attention to detail. It was the perfect place to relax and reset, and everything we needed was right at our fingertips.The location was ideal—quiet and peaceful, yet convenient to everything we wanted to do in the area. Communication with the host was easy and seamless, and it was clear they genuinely care about providing a great experience for their guests.We’re grateful for such a lovely stay and would absolutely recommend this property to anyone visiting Belhaven. An amazing respite. The cottage has been beautifully updated. It was so clean, comfortable and cozy. The hosts have thought of every amenity a guest would need. The fully stocked and prepared coffee bar was such a treat. And of course for me the star was the view. Sitting in a rocker on the full length screened in porch, looking at river and feeling the breeze was exactly what I needed. I’m already looking for dates to return!

This was by far the best home we have ever rented. Attention was paid to every detail. The hosts were wonderful. Would totally recommend to anyone wanting a quiet, peaceful stay by the river. Had a wonderful time.
