Great spot in Belsize Park

Couldn't be a better location for touring London. Flat is comfortable and quiet. Could use better lighting and some food storage space in the kitchen, but for a short stay it's fine.

Great Location

We stayed here for nine nights and it was a great location. Only a couple of minutes walk to the tube, buses, supermarket, cafes etc. The unit had everything we needed including a washing machine. The bed mattress was pretty hard and my husband had a sore back after the first night, the carpet was quite shabby but these were the only cons. The pros certainly outweighed these and we would definitely stay again if we are ever back in London! One handy wee thing would be to have two keys. We were only given one so if we went out to different destinations during the day, we needed to organise our returns around one key. Totally recommend this cool flat!

Great location and lovely flat but some issues with communication

Our family of four stayed here for three nights. Belsize Park is very nice and it’s just a short walk to the tube station. The flat itself is small but very clean and has a nice kitchen and (small) bath. There is a washer/dryer but instructions not to use it after 8:00 pm, which is when most tourists would want it. One small negative was that there were no extra blankets in the flat and our kids were cold sharing a comforter. We did get another brought in when I messaged Tanya. The big problem we had was that there was nobody there to let us in when we arrived, even though I gave our arrival time the day before. The building manager was supposed to be there but he was not, and I wasn’t able to get my cell to work (first day in the UK) to call him. Finally paid a mint to use a pay phone and he was able to give me the code to get in. So why not just give us the code to start with? Ah well...after that it really was a very nice place to stay, and I would recommend it, but ask for the code before you get there!

Hi Matthew, I am sorry you were not able to check in as arranged . Phil was expecting you much earlier. And had to go out, that is why he left the key in the key box that was just installed on that day, we did not have the code for it the day before, therefore I was not able to give it to you. Regarding the blankets: I am sorry but it was a very hot month , so we sent them to be dry cleaned that is why there no blankets in the studio. We hope to host you again Tanya

Excellent location for this small apartment

Excellent location, just a few minutes walk down the street from the nearest tube stop. The high street at the station has some great restaurants, shops and more. Easy walk down the hill to Camden Market. Nice quiet neighborhood. The apartment is in an older, tall terraced house which has been renovated into individual flats which involved modifying walls, doors, and adding plumbing (toilet, shower, sink) where they previously did not exist. We found it fascinating how this was done. Some reviews have commented on the small size of the shower and toilet, but it matched what we expected for this type of old house. The check in procedure was quick and smooth as was the checkout. Some of the nice features include an excellent kitchen area, complete with a clothes washer with a dryer function, although the dryer doesn't work particularly well. Here are a few minor issues we experienced which could stand correction for future guests: The shower hardware was broken, making it cumbersome to take a shower if you wanted to use the hand-held nozzle as opposed to the overhead shower nozzle. There was no where to place shampoo, soap, shavers, or anything in the shower, as the soap dish was broken and missing. We had to just place everything on the floor of the shower, which did not seem very sanitary. The most unpleasant thing we encountered was a strong sour smell on the pillow cases and comforter, which was clearly from those items being left in a washer for an extended period of time before being removed to be hung up to dry. This is avoidable, and hopefully other guests won't experience this same situation. Although we were on the second floor, we noticed the window locks were all broken or loose and could use some repair.

Belsize Park Experience

We were within 5 minutes of the tube which made getting around very convenient. The neighborhood was quiet and safe.There were several markets within convenient walking distance for essentials. The flat was attractive and clean, although not exactly as pictured online. We both felt the mattress could have been firmer. The property manager was very responsive.

It is 2 rooms in a house which is grim, I m really sorry .

It is nothing like the photos. There isn’t an actual bathroom it’s inbetween the lounge and bedroom and the sink is in the bedroom. Certainly not big enough for 4 adults.

Great Location at a great price

The location was excellent as it is a very quiet neighborhood and very close to coffee shops, grocery stores, restaurants, and the subway. I marked it as 4 star only because it was not quite as nice as what the pictures represent. A bit more tired looking. The owner did an excellent job of prepping the site for the pictures.

Great location, clean, good bed, but toilet situation strange

Lovely flat, great location! But.... they don't show or tell you the toilet closet and shower opposite it are in a pass through between living room and bedroom. The extractor fan wasn't working in the specific toilet closet, which really stunk ( haha!) and unfortunately they didn't get it fixed, although told on the first night we stayed there. I just assumed it had a more normal bathroom and when traveling with a new companion, I would've appreciated a little more privacy and proper ventilation. That being said, I lived in the U.K. for over a decade and know things are different and appreciate the clean, modern feel of the renovated flat, on the whole.

Excellent apartment in a great location

There is not really much to add to the earlier reviews except to confirm them. This is a very nice apartment in an excellent location I'm almost reluctant to recommend, because it might mean too many folks are going to make it difficult to make a reservation!

Excellent location and accomodation

The flat was an excellent value and had all the amenities that we needed. It was very nice to have a washing machine. The location is very close to the Belsize Underground which is on the Northern line. The area is very nice well worth some time exploring. There is grocery shopping and restaurants/pubs that are very close. Emily, the owner of the flat was very helpful and always responded very quickly.

Quiet, pleasant apt. in an ideal location

This comfortable apartment is clean, fresh, and quiet--just what we needed as a home base for exploring London. Emily was a pleasure to work with and Phil, the building manager, met us upon arrival and helped us with our questions as needed. We loved the location, close to Belsize Park tube station, charming shops, restaurants, and Gail’s Artisan Bakery, where we often bought a lunch to take with us on our sightseeing adventures. All in all, a delightful place to call home for a week.

London NW3 Gem in Belsize Park

My husband and I frequently vacation in London and try to stay in a different area each time we visit. We've seen all the top sights so decided to stay in a quieter, less-touristy neighbourhood. Emily's Suite 9 apartment in Belsize Park was perfect for our two-week stay. The tube station, bus stops and grocery store were just up the road on Haverstock Hill. There were many shops, restaurants, cafes, bakeries & pubs in the neighbourhood but with our busy schedule of museum visits, theatre outings and walking tours, it was easier to eat most of our meals "at home". The apartment itself was clean, modern and well-designed. We loved the comfy bed and super-sized shower cubicle. Phil, the building manager who met us on our arrival, was very friendly and able to answer all of our questions. Thanks, Emily, for your prompt replies to our pre-arrival questions, too. With any luck, we'll be able to stay in your lovely apartment when we visit London again.

Cozy stay in Belsize Park

Our family of three (2 adults, 1 8 yr old) had an absolutely lovely stay in Suite 9. This cozy place had everything we needed for a great home-base in London. Everything was just as pictured. Clean rooms, space to move about, safe neighborhood. Emily was super helpful and responsive leading up to our stay, and building manager Phil was awesome whilst we were there. A few blocks from the Tube, lots of bus stops, bank, grocery stores, Boots, and good restaurants (was esp. fond of Gail's Bakery). Very easy to get to and from central London (and even Heathrow), but also a really charming location itself. Hampstead Heath is an easy walk. Would certainly stay here again and will recommend to friends and family looking for a place to stay in London. Cheers!

Great Place to Stay

We were looking for a place that was quiet, had easy access to transportation, was not congested with tourist and where we could mingle and get a feel for the local environment. This property met all our needs and could not have been more perfect. We loved Belsize Park. It is a neat and quaint villages with good local restaurants. bakeries, and food store. We ate there every night but one when we took a five minute walk to the local pub in Steele for some pub grub. We will seek this place out when we return to London.

Great location and Comfy bed!

Thank you Emily for a great stay while visiting friends and relatives. Love the location to the Underground. We made it from Gatwick in less than an hour and appreciated the great directions to the apartment . We enjoyed the local shops, Camden market. Hopefully we will return soon. The apartment was well equipped for all our needs. Thanks to Phil as well. Laurie and Bill

The best App of many I've tried

I travel to London almost weekly for business and pleasure and have stayed in many apartments and studios across the city. Suite 9 is by far the best experience I've had. The location is excellent - Belsize Park has a friendly village feel with, lots of restaurants, coffee stores and shops in the area. A cinema (and two others nearby). A short walk to Camden Markets, Primrose Hill, and Hampstead Heath. Nicely positioned between 2 tube lines - 10 minutes to The City, or to Oxford St. Suite 9 itself is excellently finished, very luxurious, very clean. A pleasure to stay in. I've met Emily the owner and she is friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I doubt you will find a better value place for a relaxing stay in London, and if you do I'll bet it's run by Emily.
