Lovely family-friendly 3-bedroom traditional chalet in Mürren next to the lift.

Perfect Chalet for one family, two families, or three couples. We just bought the Chalet and are currently putting the furniture in, so adding photos showing progress. Write with questions! 50 metres from the Schilthorn cable car, 100m from the end of the slopes, 2 minutes’ walk from the coop (village store), and 4 minutes’ walk from the Allmendhubelbahn (ski school meeting point) this chalet, built in 1840 but renovated, offers super convenience alongside coziness and traditional alpine charm.

The space:
The Chalet has three bedrooms and is set up for up to 4 adults and up to 4 children - we're parents who know what other parents will need for themselves and their kids so they can enjoy their holiday! It can also be set up for use by 6 adults/3 couples with double beds in each room. Please note that 8 adults is a squeeze, but possible -- we ask that you write to us with your exact group size (kids vs adults) so that we can check the space is appropriate for you and confirm the correct set up. Please note that there is only 1 bathroom. Additional information for parents is at the bottom.

First floor:
Bedroom 1: 1 double bed (160*200/Queen)
Bedroom 2: 2 bunk beds (sleeping 4) or, one bunk, one loft bed and a double bed (180*200/King)
Bedroom 3: 1 double bed (140*190/Standard)

Additional information for parents:
You are very welcome to request any of the following:
1. Babybjorn travel cot (suitable for 0-1.5 years old)
2. Collapsible toddler bed with proper mattress and bedding (suitable for 1-3 years old).
3. Baby bath (although please heed the instructions for use in order to avoid flooding!
4. Up to two high chairs, one with baby seat back, security straps and eating tray.
5. Box of toys suitable for most ages up to 10 years old.
6. Potty and toddler toilet seat adaptor.
7. We always have a step for little people in the bathroom (it’s under the sink).

In addition, we've got an emergency kit of wipes, nappies, plasters and child-appropriate antiseptic cream for you just in case you find yourself in a bind, but please replace whatever you use.

Finally, we have a snow-suitable stroller that we can lend you, but please note it has been enjoyed by about 10 kids and is exceedingly well-used. If the roads are properly covered in snow, and you have infants, then you are probably better off renting a box-sledge from "Edie's".

Additional information for people with Pets:
If you wish to bring your pet with you, please contact us to confirm whether or not this will be possible. We say no as a general rule, but are happy to discuss.

Guest access
The entire chalet, with the exception of the attic and the cellar, is available for guests’ use.

Other things to note
Please note that there are compulsory tourist taxes charged in Mürren (CHF4.60 per night per adult and CHF2.40 per night per 6-16 year old). A new system is being put in place this year for the payment of these taxes, requiring us to collect them in advance in order to issue you your digital “guest card”. The guest card will allow you free access to the indoor swimming pool, the ice rink, and the sports hall, as well as the spa and the gym at reduced prices. The tax is mandatory whether you use these facilities or not. As a result, once a booking is made, we will need to know the number of guests and the ages of any children, in order to pay your taxes and get your guest cards. So please don’t be surprised when the request arrives!

We use a professional cleaning service, and have the linen/towels taken away for professional cleaning after each stay. This is why part of these costs are charged back to the guests.

Finally, this is our family Chalet — it is where we spend our own holidays with our children. As a result, we have a “no parties” rule.
