The house and property were very nice. The property manager was nice and helpful. The location is pretty private and peaceful. The house being constructed next door was not too bad. However, there were only 2 of us who stayed here. We only used one bedroom, did not use the hot tub, never heated the pool, and did not use any of the appliances except for the refrigerator, obviously. We kept the temp at 72 in the house as instructed, but we only got half the deposit back because we used over the "allowed amount" of electricity. We went out of our way to conserve electricity. This sadly put a damper on our opinions of this property and how it is rented.

The house needed attention, but SWFL was great

This house is need of some SERIOUS attention, upgrades and de-cluttering, in our opinion. We wanted to leave 15 min after arrival. The VRBO listing is misleading - there isn't three full bathrooms, there is a half bath with a toilet & sink upstairs and an outdoor shower OUTSIDE in the kitchen area. Ceiling lights in two rooms were flickering, one of the two shower heads in the master bath wasn't operational, the master bed was dished out so bad we couldn't sleep on it (see the review with the same issue from 2019!) - it was a broken sleep number bed and bottomed out.... several dresser drawers were broken out, closet door handle broken, there aren't two walk in closets - just one - which was fine - but it was so cluttered with random items that it was pretty much unusable, there was a broken blind in the master, shredded curtain in another bedroom, fireplace didn't work, the grill was broken & tacky stand in provided that was dirty and grimy, outdoor furniture covered in mold that one didn't want to use it, a folding closet door off the track & it wasn't fixable due to sag, most of the linens were old with tears, holes, bad repairs, stains, bleach spots, pills, etc, shower head in the 2nd bath leaked and had little water pressure, all of the pillows & towels STUNK. We didn't try the pool or spa. Loud constant construction on "empty" lot shown in pics. Luckily the awesome agent/host Dwayne came the next am and relocated us. House 1star, Host Dwayne & SWFL 10 stars.

Wonderful Vacation

We had a great time at this BEAUTIFUL and unique house. The view from the lanai area as well as out on the TIKI deck are beautiful. The location is great in that it's very private and quiet, so if you're looking to relax and have fun, this is your place. It isn't super close to a lot of stuff, however, you can make a lot of day trips to Matlacha, Bokeelia, Sanibel Island, Fort Myers and Punta Gorda. My family had high hopes to get a lot of variety of fish, and we did get a lot of fish, but 85% was catfish (I think because of the mangroves right there.) We did catch a cool blue crab, sting ray, speckled trout and some small mangrove snappers/sheeps head. I loved how you could easily adjust the pool temperature and the hot tub temperature on your own, as we like the temperature to be higher than maybe others. This was GREAT for night swimming. We did find that the ice maker couldn't keep up with our family, so make sure to buy some bags of ice if you need lots of ice. My only suggestion would be to purchase new beach chairs for the guests as the ones that were there were broken, and rusty. :) Other than that....zero complaints.

Great with some disappointments

This is a great location, clean, well stocked kitchen, beautiful home, beautiful views, great tiki dock. We were disappointed in how the pool and hot tub were heated. We thought it would be warm when we arrived but we were there 2 weeks and never got the pool warm enough to use. The hot tub took quite a while to heat up too. We were also informed upon arrival we would be charged for any electricity over the allowance provided. Trying to get the pool and hot tub warm probably took quite a bit electricity. We will see. Some of the TV’s didn’t work and we were advised that the fireplace didn’t work because the gas wasn’t hooked up and we had a couple of rainy chilly nights. We had one particular rain storm that basically flooded a portion of the dining room. They did come out and do a repair it the next morning after we contacted them. Overall, satisfied but had some disappointments.

Perfect Home

This home is perfect for a getaway, especially if you have the ability to rent a boat. The house and kitchen is fully furnished. The views and sunsets are wonderful! The pool is great as well! The only downside is the time it takes to get anywhere for shopping or restaurants. Expect 20 minutes at least to get to the more populated areas. One recommendation I would make would be to secure any items the owner doesn't want to be bothered with away.. it was quite the feat to keep a 2yr old away from the telescope!

Adverse weather impacted full use of facility

With the exception of two days (out of ten) weather was unusually cold & cloudy. This minimized outdoor activities.For those seeking privacy the place is ideal. Wildlife was observed daily from families of racoons to alligators. Recommend for large groups or families.

Wonderful Area

Had a wonderful stay at this property. Pictures on the website are outdated but still a nice house. The view is breathtaking!! Spent most of our time by the pool and it was the best. Be aware there are alligators in the water. Got videos of them swimming by everyday. Overall had a wonderful week at this property.

secluded paradise

The house was amazing and the property manager was so nice and accomodating. He visited the next day to make sure everything was good and answer any questions we had. I loved that personal attention! We spent most days just lounging by the pool overlooking the waterway. The master suite was huge and perfect for our stay. It was quiet and very peaceful. Can't wait to go back sometime. I already have several friends asking for the information.

Cape Coral Hideaway

We absolutely loved this house. Yes some things could be updated but I fear in doing so they will always be booked. The pool and lanai were the star of the show!! Dwayne our check-in agent was amazing! He definitely goes above and beyond!

Vacation

House is in kind of a secluded area, no other houses beside it. Fishing from the dock was very good, caught several different species. A little bit of a drive to get to the beaches but not to bad. Overall was a good place to stay.

Villa Laguana is amazing! Could accommodate a large party. Amazing views and the pool was fantastic!

You can tell it's a rental property - a little wear and tear, but it's an expensive, high-end property. I would definitely recommend it!

Amazing Mediterranean Villa in Cape Coral

My family spent a week vacation at this Villa in Cape Coral and it is really an amazing property and great value. If we go back to Cape Coral soon, we will be back at this home without a doubt. It had everything for our family to enjoy and relax. The outdoor areas is amazing. Well managed property.

Amazing and beautiful

The pictures on VRBO do not do this home justice. It is amazing! They view, the lani, the pool and main room are breathtaking. We swam, played pool, looked at the wildlife in the water and RELAXED. We would 100% recommend this house to anyone and would definitely stay there again!

Overall the property was as advertised. Clean, easy check in, quiet street. A couple of minor things at the property could be replaced- ripped curtains in back bedroom, broken shades in upstairs room. A big Thanks to Laura and the maintenance team for personally delivering new fishing poles and fixing one of the bikes that had a flat. I would stay there again

Very nice property. Interior is beautiful, extremely well kept. View is phenomenal, enjoyed the kayak's. Fishing was awesome. Could use some minor outdoor maintenance due to salt water. Would rather have electricity rolled into the overall price. We paid an additional $133 plus the $50 allowance. Thought that was a bit expensive.

Great Location

If it weren't for the excellent help from the property management (Laura & Doug) we would have rated this stay much lower. Three of the four blinds in the Master suite didn't work. The ones on either side of the bed wouldn't close. The one over the tube couldn't be opened or closed unless you climbed in the tube and force it to either be partially open or closed. The owners should have replaced the blinds a long time ago. The lighting in the house is almost all high can lights with no location to sit and read with good light. The location is terrific and a lot of options for activity, dinning, and groceries. Be sure to visit Farmer Joe's.
