Surrounded by tree ferns and towering mountain ash the cottage backs onto the Doongalla State Forest and is surrounded by nature and wildlife.

Just minutes walking distance to both Olinda and Mt Dandenong villages where you find cafes, eateries and artisan boutiques.

The cottage is stand-alone, private and completely self-contained with everything you need to stay for a few days, a week or a month.

Situated right in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges, Wild Orchid Olinda is great base to discover the surrounding Dandenong & Yarra Ranges.

You will stay in complete privacy in this special location tucked away from the busy village nearby.

From the moment you step onto the property you will be drawn into the magic of the garden and surrounding forest.

Enter your private cottage with enchanting story book style exterior and modern, elegant interior. The living area has a large sofa to sink into by the cosy log fire, where you can curl up to watch a movie, listen to music, read a book or just to BE.

Adjoining is the warm country kitchen that is fully equipped with everything you need including a washing machine and dryer so you can stay for a few days, a week or a month.

Upstairs the romantic bedroom has a queen size bed, electric blanket, beautiful bamboo, and cotton sheets and a private balcony from which you can enjoy treetop views with glimpses of Melbourne city, glorious sunsets, and star gaze at night through the telescope. The adjoining bathroom has a spa bath, fluffy robes, and towels.

Perfect for a romantic weekend away, an ideal business Retreat for busy professionals and creatives needing time out to get that project done without interruptions.

Or you can simply enjoy the natural surroundings of the state forest. Enjoy the birdlife and balcony visits from Kookaburras, Rosellas and King Parrots. There are several superb gardens and Bushwalks that we can share with you. Or you can use the walking maps provided to explore on your own. You may be fortunate enough to see wallabies, kangaroos and lyrebirds all in their natural habitat.

The cottage is key-code entry, so there is no need to fuss with keys or check-in. On booking, you will receive your exclusive key code and you can let yourself in and out of the cottage at your convenience.

Once you have checked into the cottage it is your time and your space. We do not disturb you. Everything you need for a weekend or a week is in the cottage.

• Cosy log fire set and ready for you to light (except during fire restrictions & fire ban days)
• Panasonic Bluetooth/stereo system, TV & DVD player with a good selection of DVD's but feel free to bring your own
• Off-road parking, entry point when coming from Olinda Village (same side of the road)


🏡🌿 at Wild Orchid Olinda we are absolutely passionate and diligent when in comes to hygiene and sanitation.

The cottage is always completely cleaned and sanitised after guests check out and before new guests check in.

All the linen is washed at +70c and all surfaces are cleaned with hospital grade sanitiser.

All the crockery, cutlery, glasses, pots and pans are run through a +70c dishwasher. 

All light switches and handrails handles etc. are cleaned and sanitised.

Check in is contactless - access is keypad entry.
