Not every trip needs an itinerary. Sometimes the best plan is a good kitchen, fast WiFi, a short walk to the beach, and nowhere you have to be.
Loft 3 is a quiet, well-appointed unit on a quiet private road just off Playa Grande's main entrance — 10 minutes on foot from one of Costa Rica's top surf breaks and the protected shoreline of Las Baulas National Marine Park. It's the unit guests book for a week and extend to a month. Once you settle in, leaving gets harder.
The loft has a queen bed and twin bed (sleeps 3), full kitchen, Starlink high-speed WiFi, air conditioning, and Smart TV. Outside, your patio with two chairs is where the mornings go. The shared laundry room is steps away between Units 2 and 3, the shared outdoor shower is in the breezeway next door for post-surf rinse-offs, and surfboard storage is out back. Dedicated parking right out front.
The property consists of two modern buildings side by side — five individual loft apartments total, each with its own private entrance. Relaxed and semi-private — you're part of a small community without it ever feeling like it.
Playa Grande is the quieter, less crowded alternative to nearby Tamarindo — same stunning Pacific coastline, same world-class surf, without the noise. The beach sits within Las Baulas National Marine Park, where leatherback sea turtles nest seasonally and howler monkeys announce the sunrise from the treeline.
Everything you need is walkable — Pots & Bowls for fresh bowls and smoothies, a local bakery, Beach Break Surf Cafe, surf rentals, and several restaurants. Stock your kitchen at the newly opened Willsofy Supermarket, a full-service market with meat, canned goods, and everyday essentials just a short walk away. The Store, a neighborhood corner market next to the pharmacy, is perfect for personal items and a quick grocery run. There's also a local fruit stand nearby for fresh produce when the season is right. Tamarindo is 20 minutes by car from additional dining and nightlife. Liberia International Airport (LIR) is approximately 55 minutes away.
A few things that make the stay easier: complimentary mid-stay cleaning upon request, motorcycle and golf cart rentals arranged through our local partner Playa Grande Rentals and Tours, yoga nearby, and a complimentary Pack 'n Play available for families traveling with little ones — just ask.

We loved the our stay! Oulr host, Courtney was fantastic. She was quick to reply and help us with questions. Our unit was ultra clean, new and modern.We loved the fact that within 100 metres we had great restaurants and a bakery. The beach, along with more great restaurants were very close that everything is walkable. We HIGHLY recommend staying here. 5 Stars
