Gorgeous house in perfect location

The house was beautiful and very well equipped. Angele was lovely and helpful! The house was 5 mins walk from the promenade, cafés and shops. Pool area was great

Lagrasse June 2023

We had two amazing weeks in Lagrasse and I can highly recommend this property. Roger and Angele went out of their way to make sure we were happy and had all we needed. The property is just on the edge of the village with a pleasant short walk to the main street with all the bars and restaurants. It is well supplied with great facilities. Everyone loved the pool. One of the best places we ever stayed. Will be back!

We had a lovely stay at this comfortable and homely villa on the outskirts of beautiful Lagrasse. The kitchen is well equipped and the living room (which has aircon) very comfortable. The highlight is the wonderful, secluded pool where we spent a lot of our time. It is set amongst greenery and trees and you can sit on the terrace and look out over the mountains. There are plenty of recliners for everyone and there are plenty of pool toys for children and even a table tennis table. The barbecue area on the other side of the house is also lovely and when we weren't enjoying the many restaurants in Lagrasse, spent our evenings out there.

Lovely Lagrasse

The house is homely and relaxing. Sitting on the front terrace in the evening sun with a glass of local wine was wonderful. The pool was great and the numerous sun umbrellas were greatly appreciated by all. The best thing about the house was the proximity of the village with all its lovely restaurants and interesting shops which meant our party of eight were able to wander off independently in pairs and meet up for lunches and dinners. There were also some great walks up to the cave and the Roc on the days when it wasn't so hot.

This is an exceptional property. Certainly to best we’ve stated in. For a family with teenage boys it was ideal. Spacious & supremely practical. The rooms have good beds, there are excellent showers, a quiet snug and top class kitchen. Stocked with oils/vinegar/flour etc. (this is most welcome). The Pool is frankly perfect. The parking and location great - 2 minutes from town. (Minor) Downside - there is building work opposite. We didn’t let it trouble us.- best to know though.

Suggestions...

Cleanliness was generally good except for one thing....waste bin hadn't been emptied in the shower room and there were some rather unpleasant deposits therein... I don't think the outdoor furniture had been wiped down in a while or any sweeping performed and the barbecue certainly hadn't been cleaned by the last guests.. Suggest that the path/steps are lit -bit tricky after dark even with the light from one's mobile... The country-side is simply lovely....we enjoyed Narbonne in particular (market is fabulous) and it was wonderfully quiet...

Dear Michael Thank you for the review of your stay. We do apologise for the oversight by Aline, our femme de menage in not clearing the waste bin. This was unacceptable and we have spoken to her about it. We do ask that the previous guests clean the barbeque after use. Unfortunately our gardener would normally check this (as well as other tidying up around the garden) but he has been taken seriously ill and hasn't been able to do his work recently. We do hope you otherwise enjoyed your stay in Lagrasse.

Lovely house with lots of outside spaces set in the beautiful town of Lagrasse. All facilities were as advertised and the house is very well equipped and nicely positioned overlooking the town. Unfortunately there was a problem with the pool caused by winter storm damage and this was being repaired and refilled while we were there so it was out of use. We were made aware of this a few days before we arrived so we were not surprised and the owner did give us a discount due to the disruption. As it was, the weather was a little chilly while we were there but it did take the pool option away which was a pity. Lagrasse is very quiet in early June so you need to plan where you’re eating in the evening as some places shut early! We had to get takeaway pizza from the next town Fabrezan on Tuesday! The cassoulet in the rooftop restaurant Le Temps de Courges is spectacular. The boulangerie is closed Wednesday but the general shop épicerie has bread. The countryside around is beautiful and towns/cities like Narbonne and Pezenas are within easy reach and worth a visit. The abbey in Lagrasse is amazing. Thank you!

Beau souvenir

Nous avons passé une très agréable semaine en famille , (nous étions 8) même si temps n’a pas été au beau fixe. Très jolie maison dans la verdure, très bien équipée. Grande piscine, très bien entretenue. Nous recommandons fortement cette maison !

Schönes Haus in toller Umgebung

Das Haus ist wunderschön, sehr gemütlich und ausgestattet mit allem, was man braucht. Entzückender Garten mit verschiedenen Sitzgelegenheiten. Poolbereich absolut großartig. Viele tolle Ausflugsziele in traumhaft schöner Umgebung. Angenehme, zuverlässige und freundliche Kommunikation mit Angele.

Coup de coeur

Maison très agréable située sur les hauteurs de Lagrasse. Nous avons adoré notre séjour de 2 semaines. Vue magnifique sur le village qui est à 500 m à pied. Le coin piscine est agréable et très bien sécurisé. La maison est très pratique, bien équipée, et les propriétaires sont joignables facilement et très charmants. Un vrai coup de coeur.

Toller Aufentalt in einem schön gelegenen Ferienhaus.

Die Ausstattung des Ferienhauses ist sehr gut. Leider hatten wir ein wenig Probleme mit der Kaffeemaschine und den Fahrrädern, die ohne dem Garagenschlüssel schwer zu benutzen gewesen sind. Auch die Arbeit der Pumpenanlagen könnte man ein wenig kürzen. Das Brummen aus dem Keller ab 7:15 hätte auch erst 9:15 beginnen können. Lagrasse hat viel zu bieten und auch in der Umgebung kann man schöne Wanderturen machen. Wir haben den Aufentalt und die Betreuung sehr genossen. Die Unterkunft ist weiter zu empfehlen.

Calme et confort !

La maison était parfaitement équipée et très bien située en hauteur du village renommé de Lagrasse. La piscine et les équipements en très bon état (sauf le barbecue) ce qui nous a permis de passer un excellent séjour ! Merci au propriétaires pour leur sérieux et à Phil pour son efficacité :-) Thanks a lot and see you maybe for another holidays in the area ! Jean-Baptiste & Cécile.

We had a wonderful week at this house, it is vey well equipped and spacious and the pool area is immaculate. The village of Lagrasse is beautiful, as is the whole area. Plenty to do and see for all ages.

Séjour sans surprise

Les informations portées sur l'annonce sont conformes à la réalité des lieux. La proximité du village nous a permis de nous y rendre tous les jours sans emprunter notre véhicule. La piscine est un atout essentiel surtout en période de canicule.

Gute Lage

Schöne diverse Sitzplätze je nach Sonnenstand, sehr schöner Pool! Wir waren 2 befreundete Paare, hatten genug Platz! Einziges Manko: die kleine Dusche (mit Duschvorhang!) für ein Paar im Gegensatz zum grosszügigen Bad neben dem anderen Schlafzimmer! Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Lagrasse fussläufig erreichbar, für Grosseinkäufe Lezignan zu empfehlen!

Traumhafte Ferien in bezaubernder Atmosphäre

Lagrasse ist ein sehr pittoresker Ort mit teils mittelalterlicher Bausubstanz; die Besichtigung der Abtei ist ein Muss. Bäcker und mehrere Restaurants sind vorhanden und haben uns nie enttäuscht. Das Haus von Angèle und Roger ist sehr empfehlenswert; man merkt, dass es ein bewohntes Haus, nicht nur ein Ferien-Objekt ist. Es ist sehr gemütlich, insbesondere das Wohnzimmer. Die Infos sind von Roger sehr gründlich und liebevoll zusammengestellt. Der Pool hat uns viele schöne Stunden beschert, beeindruckend, wie sauber und gepflegt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und 3 erholsame Wochen dort verbracht. Wir können das Haus weiter empfehlen.

Traumhaus für entspannten Urlaub

Wir (zwei Familien) haben im Haus von Angele & Roger zwei traumhafte Ferienwochen verbracht. Das Anwesen ist in einem Top-Zustand und jeder findet hier seinen Platz zum Entspannen. Das Haus und die Einrichtung ist wie beschrieben und in jedem Fall funktionell und liebevoll in den Details, es fehlt eigentlich an nichts. Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet, und es hat Spaß gemacht, dort gemeinsam zu kochen. Zahlreiche Bücher, Reiseführer und Bildbände über die Region sind ebenso vorhanden, wie auch Videos und Gesellschaftsspiele (allerdings alles in englisch). Bei Fragen oder Problemen wurde vom Vermieter schnell geantwortet, es ist aber auch ein ausführlicher Haus-Guide vorhanden. Darin auch Tipps zur Freizeitgestaltung oder auch zur Weinauswahl. Das nahe gelegene, mittelalterliche Lagrasse war in unserem Fall nicht nur zum Baguette kaufen da. Gleich zwei Musikfestivals sorgten für abendliche Abwechslung, und ein Spaziergang durch die engen Gassen lohnt zu jeder Tageszeit. In der näheren Umgebung kann man auch kleinere Wanderungen unternehmen. Zum Roc da Cagaliere, dem Felsen oberhalb des Hauses zum Beispiel. Von dort hat man eine schöne Sicht auf Lagrasse. Auch nach Ribaute, zu den Cascaden des Orbieu, sind es nur 3,5 Kilometer. Wem es in Carcassonne zu voll ist, dem empfehle ich das Dorf Minerve. Ebenfalls sehenswert sind die Cascaden der Verdouble in der Nähe von Duilhac-sous-Peyrepertuse (Ausschilderung 'Moulin de Ribaute' folgen) Wir können diese Haus jedenfalls sehr empfehlen.

Cozy house with a wonderful view

We rented this house in July 2014, and are very happy with our stay. We were two families and a total of nine people and it was perfect for us! The house was nicely decorated, clean and functional. It was like staying in someone's home! There was, for example, plenty of spices, etc. in the cabinets. The pool area was nice and completely private. There were also two patios where you had a great view of Lagrasse. It was only a few minutes walk to the "main road" where there were several cozy restaurants, a pharmacy, a bakery (open 7-20) and a shop. In the village, there was also the opportunity to buy handicrafts such as pottery and art. The entire village of Lagrasse is magically beautiful! A morning walk along the river is good for the soul! Just below the house was a football field and our sons went down there every night and played. There were also other children and they formed teams and had fun. The shop in town has a rather small range so you have to drive about 15-20 minutes to a big supermarket. We were also to visit some wineries nearby and they were easy to find! We had (both adults and children) a wonderful holiday and we can really recommend this house and Lagrasse!

Lovely property, stunning setting

The house was as described, clean, comfortable and in good condition with lots of "home comforts" such as toys and videos for the kids (and a washing machine with powder!) The owners were very organised and helpful, and there was info provided for everything to do with the house and loads of books, maps and leaflets of the area. The pool was great and enjoyed every day, leaving the cover on overnight meant it was not too cold even in September. The photos cannot do justice to the stunning views and lovely backdrop of the house. The town was an easy 5 mins walk, and the (small) shop supplied the basics on the first day, there were loads of eateries. It was a very pretty town, and we all had lots of fun swimming in the river. We were 3 generations, and we all loved the place. I would not hesitate to recommend this rental.
