This Lindal Cedar Mendocino vacation rental home is set in a sunny clearing amidst the Redwoods on a quiet country road close to the Village of Mendocino. Amenities such as the wheelchair friendly downstairs portion and beautiful wrap-around deck make for a luxurious and intimate getaway for up to four people. Pick up some veggies from the Friday Farmer's market in the Village and gather around the four person dining table for a fresh lunch.



What's Nearby:

Embrace the woods with spectacular state parks such as Russian Gulch, Mendocino Headlands and Jug Handle State Reserve at your fingertips. Take a luxurious tour of wineries and meander through Redwood forests, or spoil yourselves with a romantic sunset horseback ride on the beach. Ideally located, you feel at peace in the woodland atmosphere and get your beach vacation in as well with the Big River State Beach just 1.5 miles away! Just a little over a mile away, you can walk to the middle of downtown Mendocino, one of California's most iconic beach towns.

In general, a lovely property close to restaurants, shops and beautiful natural areas. The property could benefit from better welcome mats/entry way area and a shoe rack and coat rack or hooks. Some cobwebs in less trafficked areas, but generally clean and pleasant.

The property, although neat and clean, felt very dated in furniture and decor. No blinds in kitchen or living room so it felt like being in a fish bowl at night. The hot tub needs repairs. The blinds in bathroom were non functioning so you felt exposed. It was deep in the forest with about one hour of sunlight hitting the home so the property description is deceptive. It was a decent stay but im thankful the weather was amazing or the home could have turned depressive.

Beautiful property but was missing cozy touches. We liked the bed but our 26 year old daughter thought they were overly firm. Wi-Fi was slow but did work. Hot tub was awesome but deck lighting could be better.

Wedding weekend getaway for close family.

Comfortable and relaxing place, a nice roomy place to cook and visit. The location was perfect for getting to the Mendocino Woodlands wedding location as well as the charming town of Mendocino itself.

The mattresses on both beds were poor. No kleenex. No frying pan. Non working light in main bath and no fire place to enjoy.

Sweet and cozy

Perfect sister getaway trip for the weekend. Perfectly located across from the main town and was quiet and cozy. Only issue is that the provided WiFi is not good at all. Made it inconvenient when trying to plan and search things around town from the house.

We rented the house for three nights and really loved our time. It gives a bad first impression because unlike the title on the listing there is nothing luxurious about the house at all. Itā€™s a well maintained house the seems to be built in the mid 80ā€™s or early 90ā€™s and has had very few updates. The furniture is hodgepodge and none of it is nice or in great condition. The bed and bedding is just average. All this said it was comfortable, spacious, in the redwoods with a hot tub and a five minute drive to Mendocino village. As an added bonus the kitchen was well adorned, which was nice. We bought fruit and veggies at the Friday farmers market and they were absolutely amazing to cook with. The house manager seems to do a good job and the management company seemed very on top of things. There were lots of towels and they had extra heaters you could use in the bathroom or whatever. We didnā€™t want to leave. I would give it five stars if the fireplace use wasnā€™t prohibited (seems to be an HOA restriction related to fire prevention, but itā€™s a gas fireplace so I canā€™t see why it isnā€™t allowed). Note Orbitz drops you once you book this, they refer you to VRBO if you have any issues.

Cute little cabin in the woods

We stayed for 4 days in the cabin while we explored the area. The cabin is conveniently located near the town of Mendocino. We could walk from the cabin to downtown and it was only a little over a mile. The drive to the nearby state parks, Fort Bragg and the skunk train was quick and easy. The cabin itself was quiet and clean. We cooked there every night and they had everything we needed to do so. We saw deer in the yard every morning. Itā€™s a lovely vacation spot

Perfect location, room for entire family of adult siblings and adult children

Carlo and Flavia were very helpful hosts and helped us arrange our transport from the airport to the property in the historic center. Everything was clean and functioning and in a fabulous location! Be prepared to pay a little extra for air-conditioning if youā€™re there in very hot summer months, but totally worth it! Highly recommend!

Perfect private romantic. Location is incredible. So close to everything. Beautiful surroundings. Itā€™s outdated but still fully functional and clean. Cozy. LOVED the hot tub. So peaceful and lots of natural light. Deer walked right up to the railing as we watched from the kitchen. Would stay here again for sure.

The Woods

Amazing property! Love the wrap around deck with the banana slugs. Soaking tub felt great in the mist. Everything was perfect exceptā€¦ none of the chairs or couches were swept or vacuumed underneath. There were old socks and dust bunnies underneath them. Also, the steps that to get in the hot tub broke as it was old and fragile. But weā€™d definitely come back just for the ambiance aloneā€¦ it really is a nice home. We would come back for sure, itā€™s very quite and peaceful. The host were quick to respond to us, very professional. We thank you for that.
