Splendid Unique Apartment In The Heart Of The City

This unique property offered for long term rentals is located in the old city of Barcelona, at 50 meters from the Palau de la Música Catalana, 200 meters from Plaça de Catalunya and 300 meters from the cathedral. It is accessed by walking to the main attractions . The area is well connected and has all amenities .
This spectacular property has 160 square meters and 3.5 meters high . It consists of a large completely open main space of 85 square meters , a large hall , two double bedrooms, two bathrooms and a study room .

Please note that the main floor is located in an old building which is equivalent to a second floor and no lift.

The kitchen consists of a large work island that occupies the central space. The furniture , located in the side wall integrates the fridge and the freezer . It has an industrial hood. In the rear of the kitchen there is a washing machine and a pantry. Equipped also with all kinds of small appliances.

All exterior woodwork is triple glass thermo acoustics.

The master bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has twin beds that can be adapted as appropriate. There are two slate bathrooms , one with bath and one with shower.

The furniture that integrates housing is from recognized design firms .

This property has been published in various specialized media of architecture and design. The pavement is being restored old hydraulic tiles except for the bathrooms which are of slate, wooden ceiling and beams except for the master bedroom which is covered and painted with original drawings .

All of this has been maintained as it was originally and rehabilitated what was damaged. The furniture of kitchen, bathrooms, living , dining and bedrooms is very contemporary. The result is a large space where the ancient and the modern coexist in harmony factually .

The house is painted with ecological paint, has high speed internet access , air conditioning and gas heating with thermostat. Water circuit equipped with particulate and anti-calc filters.

Spacious flat in perfect location

This flat, with its original tile floors, 2 small balconies, lovely old wooden doors, high ceilings, and large open main room, has a lovely ambiance. The location was very central for all the on-foot exploration we wanted to do in Barcelona. Our host was most responsive. Check in and checkout were easy.

great location, spacious apartment, noisy street work

Location was great. Apartment was spacious and well equipped. One drawback was the extensive outside street work that was very loud and noisy (6 days a week) for our 2 month stay, and it had a long way to go to being complete. Jack hammering, cutting granite blocks, forklifts, dumpsters being filled, etc. It will be beautiful when it's done. Other things to note: The walk up to second floor was fine, but there was a lot of foot traffic up and down the stairs at all hours of the night that was easily heard from the main bedroom. A takeout restaurant below was open until 2 am every night with a lot of patrons waiting outside for their food and talking and hanging out. The windows in the apartment were quite soundproof but that meant you had to keep them closed all the time to benefit from that. When we needed it, the air conditioning worked extremely well and was a welcome relief to the heat during our last few weeks in June. The apartment itself was really nice and spacious except for the things mentioned by others - no door on main bedroom and the two bathrooms open to each other over the top of the wall. We had a number of friends and family rotate staying with us, and we made it work because we were all very close and got along well. The host was very prompt in responding to any issue and the hookups for music and TV were welcome. Overall, we had a great time. It would have been nice to be aware of, and prepared for, the noise factors before we arrived.

Beautiful But Light Starved; No Privacy

This property was not a good fit for us. First and foremost, it was incredibly dark--even with all the lights on. There was no view of anything green from the windows, no trees and only a thin sliver of sky. Then there was the lack of privacy. The master bedroom had two entries but no doors, just a thin curtain on a rod. The two bathrooms, located back to back, were separated only by a half wall. When inside, you could hear everything happening in the other one (the back bathroom also had no mirror, just a tiny magnified one for shaving). We had wanted to have friends stay for the weekend but the lack of privacy prohibited this. In the kitchen, the knives were so dysfunctional as to be dangerous. When we were there, in September of 2022, the road outside our window was completely torn out and being worked on each day. We were not told this prior to our arrival, despite having booked two months in advance. Finally, the walk up to the apartment was grim, peeling paint and broken-down stairs.

Happiness in Barcelona!

My 5 weeks in Barcelona were a delight thanks to Tania and her beautiful apartment! The pictures are a true depiction of the property. It is a perfect mix of beautiful Spanish architecture and modern amenities. The kitchen is a dream with anything you could possibly need. It is not like most rentals with the bare minimum in appliances, glasses, dinnerware, etc. It has EVERYTHING! The coffee maker broke while I was there and Tania had one delivered the next day. The location is perfect within walking distance to everything. You can be to any sights, restaurants, shopping within a few minutes walking. The beaches are a 20 minute walk. Tania was there to greet me and explain how everything in the apartment worked and always answered my texts within a few minutes. She also had wonderful recommendations on restaurants and things to do. I highly recommend this place on your visit to Barcelona! Deb

Absolutely incredible stay!

My family and I spent a wonderful week in Barcelona and we couldn't have been happier with our stay at this gorgeous, well-situated apartment. It is comfortable, roomy and surprisingly quiet, considering its outstanding location right in the downtown area. You are minutes walk to La Rambla, the big department store, "El Corte Ingles" and the quaint little alleyways of the historic shopping area. Judit met us when we arrived and provided a great deal of information about things to do and see. The apartment is outstanding and provides a warm and well-appointed home base for a a stay in this incredible city. Would come again in a heartbeat!

Great Location, Great Apartment

The apartment is well appointed with kitchen pot/pans, coffee maker, blender, etc. It also has a washer and dryer which work perfectly. Arrangements with Judit were easy; and when we checked into the apartment David was very helpful about the apartment and where everything was and how the air conditioning worked. He also had a wealth of information for us - where the closeset grocery store was, what sights not to miss, etc. (Judit was out of town). The apartment itself is in a great location. We walked to everything. We loved being in the El Borne neighborhood, very close to many great restaurants, the Rambla and the Barri Gothic area. The beds are comfortable (we didn't use the 2nd bedroom) and having 2 bathrooms saved us time getting ready (the wall between the two bathrooms does not extend all the way up to the ceiling, but it wasn't an issue for us). This is a great apartment with plenty of room. I would recommend to stay here.

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay in Barcelona at this apartment. Judit did a great intro to us at the apartment. She also helped us arrange an early morning taxi. It is well equipped, yet we never really used the kitchen. We enjoyed the quick access to the metro and walking distance to other areas. The washing machine worked well. We enjoyed the couch and chairs as well as the large tables to plan our days. Per some of the other comments, there are oddities. Partial walls between bathrooms, no A/C in the 2nd bedroom, and small beds in the 2nd room. All-in-all a great experience.

Wonderful Location, perfectly equipped apartment.

This is a stylish, well equipped apartment located within easy walking distance to most major sights and shopping. All arrangements through Judit were friendly and professional including help locating police after my wallet was pick-pocketed! We had a couple of issues with the apartment which might be useful for others to know. As others have mentioned it is on a busy road so leaving windows open at night is not an option & the second bedroom has no aircon so got quite hot. The master bedroom has no door and is open to the entry way which means you can hear people coming and going at different times or using the kitchen. The second bedroom has 2 single beds which are probably 'normal' size but were too small for our young adult sons (both around 6'3 so clearly not an issue for everyone) so one slept on the couch which was very comfortable. And finally the layout of the bathrooms doesn't allow for very much privacy. The wall separating the 2 rooms is only a 3/4 wall so while you can't see what's happening in the other bathroom you can certainly hear everything that's going on! Depending on who you're traveling with this may or may not be an issue for you. I don't want to sound negative about the apartment as we really enjoyed our stay in a great space in a wonderful location.

Second visit -- this time with family -- still excellent!

After a brief 2014 long weekend stay, I brought my family back for a 5 night visit in June 2015. Judit was an incredible host...very helpful again. It is hard to overstate the convenience of the location and the proximity to a key crossing point on the metro line. The kids had a wonderful time enjoying the neighborhood and using this great property to explore a fabulous city. And this time we actually made use of the well-kitted kitchen to enjoy a quieter Saturday night meal at home and breakfasts in the comfort of the apartment. We are already looking forward to our return!

Terrific apartment!

Four of us stayed here for a week in May. It was very easy communicating with Judith; she was very responsive. She arranged for cabs to pick us up and drop us off at the apartment. She also had many restaurant recommendations. The apartment is on a very busy street but, with the air conditioning on, noise was not an issue. While the lighting in the living room was dim, we did not find it to be so terrible -- and we are used to very bright lights. There are several flights of stairs to climb to the apartment and there is no elevator so this is not suitable for those unable to walk up. Since the shower in the master bathroom did not have a glass partition or curtain, lots of water ended up on the floor; we decided to shower in the second bathroom to prevent this. Also, we ran out to buy shampoo and soap for the bathrooms. However, these negatives did not detract from our overwhelmingly positive experience in the apartment. It is in a terrific location for sightseeing, walking, the Gothic Quarter, Barceloneta, etc. We would definitely stay here again.

Great property, excellent location

We loved everything about this property, including the location, the fantastic kitchen and the very helpful and friendly manager. We do agree with other reviews that the lighting in the apartment is an issue - the lounge area has almost no lighting at all, and once it got dark, it was impossible to read or look at maps or anything like that. Apart from that, everything was great!

Great location - fabulous apartment

We (two couples) stayed in this Barcelona apt for 3 nights and loved it. Fantastic location, easy to walk just about anywhere. Judit, the property manager, was very helpful. She arranged for a pickup at the airport and was fantastic for suggestions of places to see and restaurants to eat.

GREAT LOCATION

This apartment is within walking distance from the Palau de la Musica where we attended a guitar concert. It is close to a lot of restaurants and is a short walk to the center of the Barri Gothic area, from where you can cut through to Las Ramblas. There's a small supermarket right outside the apartment building. There's also a Michelin Star restaurant called Sauc which is just about across the street from the Palau. Easy access to public transportation. Fantastic location. I loved all the character of the apartment from the mosaic tile floor to the beamed ceilings. My only disappointment to me, is the dim lighting. I felt there was not enough light/light fixtures in the living room area. It may be that I got used to the bright hotel lights (where we stayed first) and am used to my well lit home. There are only Spanish TV Channels, so if you plan to veg in front of the TV from a day of running around, you will have to pop a DVD in. DVDs have English capability. Kitchen is nicely equipped. We did not pack too much knowing there will be a washer/dryer in the apartment. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Beautiful apartment, well situated!

The most important things to us in selecting an apartment were that it be in a historical area and also that the apartment be charming. We found many apartments online that weren't very special and looked like they could be in any urban area and were in some "newer" areas of Barcelona. But this one was exactly what we were looking for, and upon arriving were very happy with our choice. It is in the Gothic area with great European flair and narrow, charming pedestrian shopping streets dotted with restaurants. We found the location to also be good for getting to any of the museums and Gaudi buildings we wanted to visit, as the Metro was within a few minutes' walking distance. The apartment itself was so charming with its tiled floor and spectacular ceilings. Judit was so timely in her email responses when inquiring and booking the property, and she was very friendly and helpful when checking us in. The apartment was not noisy at night, and that is something that was important to us as well. There is only one "negative" about the apartment, and I wouldn't let it stop me from renting the apartment again, but the amount of light inside is not very plentiful. But, at the end of the day the charm prevailed :-)

Awesome Apartment

Everything about the apartment was simply wonderful. Fromthe easy on-on line booking to the quick responses to our questions prior to our arrival by Judith the owner the pre-arrival experience was a good one. The apartment itself was everything we had hoped for...very clean, extremely well appointed in terms of the bedrooms, bathrooms and the main living area. The kitchen was outstanding with everything you need from cutlery to pots and pans. One of the best features though is its location! You are just a few minutes walk from all the action whether it is shopping, restaurants, the waterfront or the main city square, the Plaza Catalunya. It is in the Gothic Quarter so you are in the heart of the historical area of this incredible city. I would rent it again and again!

Perfect Barcelona Stay

A colleague and myself travelled to Barcelona for a conference and stayed for 5 nights at this wonderful location. The apartment is perfectly situated and central to everything. The apartment was beautiful and so well equipped we wanted for nothing. Arrival and departure was seamless. Thank you to Judit and Anna for everything. They know the city so well and their recommendations for reastaurants were perfect. If I ever get a chance to return to Barcelona I would defiantly hope to stay at the apartment again. Great for business and pleasure as well perfect for singles, couples and families. Absolutely perfect!

Great locaion

Family of 4 adults stayed 1 week. Perfect location, excellent space, great kitchen, slightly noisy street but to be expected in bustling city. Judit was very helpful. Very quiet building in that we did not hear anyone above or below our apt. but def has street noise. Bright, airy, great ceiling. Floors are amazing too , although they could use a scrubbing. Gourmet kitchen was a lot of fun. Note: there is no door on masterbedroom which limits privacy somewhat but still would highly recommend

We absolutely loved this apartment. The location was great in that we could walk to many of the places we wanted to visit. The metro was close, but we never used it. There was a small shop next door where you could buy jugs of water and not have to lug them blocks. A plus was the sound blocking window shutters which truly made it quiet enough for our lightest sleeper to sleep through the night. The apartment itself is very roomy which is nice when you are staying several days and want to come back to have relaxing meals with friends. The photos gave you a real sense of the place, but did not truly capture the fantastic floor. Judit was so helpful and nice to work with and made everything go smoothly. We had never seen such a well organized kitchen. We highly recommend you get tickets to a performance at the Palau de Musica Catalana. It is such a beautiful venue and practically around the corner.

Great property, great owner

Barcelona is a world class city and this great loft-style appointment with two bedrooms provides all the comforts you need and want after a day exploring it. The location is perfect -- convenient to many in-town sites and to the metro. The owner is almost a concierge, and was incredibly helpful organizing airport transfer, advising on restaurants, and making us feel very comfortable. English-speaking travelers will feel very assured and therefore should strongly consider making this their Barcelona home-away-from-home. I strongly recommend this rental and look forward to going back soon.

Location!

We stayed for a week, 2 adults, and 2 small children. We loved the location, the metro is essentially across the street. There are so many dining options, cafes, and fun places to explore. This was hands down our favorite neighborhood in Barcelona. There is also a double decker tour bus pickup location very close, not to mention the wonderful Market that is an easy walk. You also have a small grocery right downstairs. Love it! Everything we needed!!! The kitchen is fabulous but honestly so many recommended restaurants are so close to this property that we essentially ate out the entire time. We loved the bedding, 2 baths, including a great tub, and washer/dryer. Would definitely stay here again and Judit was a great Host to us. She arranged Taxi from the airport and to the property for us. She also arranged our return transportation. Felt well taken care of...While we did not need it, it was nice to see they also provide a crib with this property for those families that have an infant.

Impressive appartment

Last April we stayed in the appartment with two of our children and we loved it very much. It has a lot of space inside. The living room annex kitchen is really great. It has nice colours, nice lamps, a beautiful mosaïc floor and an impressive height. The kitchen is equipped well. We immidiatly felt at ease. The two sleeping rooms have also a lot of space. We enyoyed having two bathrooms, which is really comfortable with children. Because the appartment has been located down town we could walk to several nice places, within 5 minutes, like Palau de la Musica and the Cathedral. Metrostation Urquinaona is one minute walking. A big supermarket is 10 minutes walking, a small one in the street of the appartment. Our host was very friendly, helpfull and reliable. So we had a great time.

Rad and a half

My wife and I spent our honeymoon here, and absolutely loved it. It's spacious, well equipped, and remarkably quiet, despite being in the heart of the city. The huge couch is perfect for a siesta, the tub has plenty of room for two, and the whole place is simply beautiful. The location and appearance was exactly as advertised, quite clean, and Judit was helpful orienting us, and arranging transportation. We'd recommend the place to anyone visiting Barcelona!

Beautiful apartment in Barcelona!

My family (4 adults and one toddler) stayed in this beautiful apartment for several days and enjoyed it immensely. Very comfortable and in a great, central location in Barcelona. The fully equipped kitchen made preparing meals easy, the beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. Highly recommended!

What an amazing place. We have rented many exclusive appartments but never one as great as this. We stayed for a week in the flat, 4 people including my 7 year old nephew. Everything was so comfortable. Great beds, beautiful shower, amazing bathtub, and a sofa that you want to take home. In fact we did not at all want to leave after a week.. Brilliant kitchen for cooking (we ended up inviting our Barcelona-friends for dinner at our place several nights instead of going out), and very handy having the beautiful santa catherina market, with fresh local produce, only 5 minutes away. The few practicalities regarding the appartment went very smooth, payment, keys etc. We will definitely rent this place again next time we go to Barcelona, and have already recommended it to friends who are planning to go to Barcelona this winter. Thank you!

As many of our guests have said this apartment feels like home. It is unique because of the size and the high ceilings. It has all the enchand of Barcelona style with restored old wooden ceilnig and hydraulic tiles.

We highly recommend this apartment to families travelling with children. You will have a lot of space and a very nice Kitchen to cook and enyoing meals together. We will also provide you with all the items you could need as a rocking chain, toys, books, games, baby crib, scooter, little bike...
