Our three-story house located on Lake Chautauqua offers a beautiful setting for all seasons. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets on the luxurious patio, a kitchen stocked with amenities, and easy access to all the wonderful winter or summer activities this area has to offer!

The house is on the water and includes all the comfort and amenities a vacationer would need. There's room enough to sleep twelve people, which makes it a great place to bring people together and entertain. Our patio includes a grill, heating lamp, fire pit, and enough seating for large parties.

The best part about this house is the location. Not only do you get to wake up to a stunning view of the water every morning, but you're also close to a slew of exciting activities in the area. In addition, Wegman's supermarket, liquor stores, restaurants are close by.

This property is centrally located while offering space, privacy, and quietude that you might not find at the other end of the lake. It's a short drive from Jamestown or the Chautauqua Institution, so you can enjoy the benefits of these cultural hubs without paying the higher price.

Wonderful

Owner was helpful and easy to deal with. The house is beautiful and very clean. So many nice touches. So enjoyable and relaxing being right on the lake. Definitely recommend this house!

Lake fun for Independence Day

The property was spacious for our family and friends. Convenient to the lake with excellent viewing of the fireworks for the 4th of July. The dock was nice for our boat loading and unloading and our jet ski. The kitchen was well stocked too.The host was timely and gracious with all communications. We all loved the house and would stay here again!

Great host and beautiful views!

Some of the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen! This property is uniquely situated so you can see the sunset and the sunrise from the patio and docks. The Bald Eagles, geese and ducks were an added bonus! The hostess was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay! The house was well-equipped, and lovely. The rooms accommodated our group of 10, with 4 teenage boys who were able to have their own space and hang out. Beds were comfortable and the neighborhood was super cute.

Beautiful home and location

We had a wonderful, relaxing week together. The home is beautifully designed and equipped with everything you could need. The owners were wonderful. Gracious and accommodating. We hope to be back next year.

Solar eclipse 2024!

The house was a perfect place for our family’s first path of totality experience. Our rooms all had a view of the lake and we loved watching the ducks from the kitchen! The house was fully stocked, had gorgeous bathrooms, and even caught some warm weather to sit out on the patio and take in the views. Very close to some good restaurants (and best ice cream!). Thank you for sharing your house and helping us to create new memories!!

Magic on the Lake!

From start to finish, THE BEST house we have stayed in on the Lake. The owners were responsive and attentive. the house is has everything you could possibly need. Bring your toothbrush and clothes! We eat most meals in so as to enjoy the lake and the kitchen is fully equipped. A cook's dream! The beds are all beyond comfortable, even the Murphy bed! The views are incredible. The house is perfect! Would absolutely stay there again!! Thank you for helping us create amazing family memories at CHQ 2024!

Best and most memorable 4th of July ever!

My husband and our family of 5 have visited CHQ for several years. We just love Chautauqua and all of the natural splendor and activities it provides. We invited two other families to join us at this wonderful home. Practically every room had a view of the lake. The house was extremely well-appointed. We cooked many meals and had everything we needed in the kitchen, as well as an outdoor grill. We spent hours on the dock, on the outdoor patio, on the provided paddle boards, kayak, and canoe. the 4th of July was spectacular. Carolyn, the homeowner, was communicative, responsive, and wonderful to work with. The two families we went with want to go book for next summer already. I can highly recommend this house without hesitation. We had a wonderful time,

Family Gathering

We were 3 sisters and 1 brother plus spouses from Chicago, Philadelphia and Rochester, NY enjoying each other’s company and catching up in the beautiful setting of this home. We shared meals at the round table with a special view of the lake (actually almost every room had a view of the sparkly lake). Sat on the patio in the evenings. Saw a pair of bald eagles flying in formation past our dining room window. Visited the Comedy Museum and Panama Rocks. Our host Carolyn was friendly, accommodating and easily accessible. It’s a great vacation place!

New Years Get away

This house has the most amazing views. We needed a little break and get away. This house was so comfortable we just stayed there and played games and hung out. Highly recommend

Super comfortable lake house

We had a wonderful stay at the lake house despite a rainy week. House was well-equipped for large groups with a spacious kitchen, plenty of comfortable seating, and space to spread out. Dock at house was not ideal for swimming, and nearby public beach was unfortunately closed this summer, but dock worked well for paddle boarding. We appreciated the comfortable beds and lots of cozy touches.

Stunning!!

Our family had a wonderful week. The house was beautiful, well appointed & offered stunning lakefront views especially from the kitchen & 2nd floor common space where we gathered each morning. The covered outdoor space was ideal for getting out of the sun while still enjoying the outdoors-it was in use all the time & was especially enjoyable during one rainy evening. The grill & firepit were used almost every evening. We loved having the large dock space which was great for swimming, fishing. & enjoying the day. The kids had a blast on the lilly pad, & the adults used the paddleboard & kayaks. Carolyn was very accomodating & was a pleasure to work with.

Fantastic house

The house is fantastic and well equipped with everything your family could need for a great week on the Lake. The home's owner, Carolyn, is very responsive and accommodating. The location is just a few minutes from the heart of Lakewood, and most importantly, the house is within walking distance of Big Tree Soft Serve Ice Cream. Has to be the nicest rental in Lakewood.

Huge house, very clean, lots of bedrooms and baths and a spectacular view

The owners were extremely responsive and helpful throughout the process. The house is very large so can fit a large family easily. Located right on the lake, the view is second to none. Highly recommend!

Family getaway

With my sister and her family living in Maryland this was a great place to have a weekend together with my parents, sister, and brother and his family. It's always hard to find a house big enough to comfortably accommodate us, and this house had plenty of room, tons of bathrooms. We joked it was like a cruise ship always a beautiful view, and a floor for just eating lol. Owners were very accommodating and helpful!

Spent 4 days here and it was gorgeous!!! Previous tenants had some leave behinds that were nothing difficult to handle...Owner is courteous and very helpful!!! Must stay!

Best vacation rental in Lakewood!

This is our second year renting this property and it’s ultra wonderful. The owners are accommodating and kind. It has a great location, lots of seating and kitchen is superb for cooking. We highly recommend.

Great family vacation house on a beautiful lake. We had a fantastic time at this property. The house is beautiful as advertised. Everything is in good working order. Having the kayaks and paddleboard was wonderful. The house layout is beautiful with great views of the lake. Carolyn was excellent to communicate with throughout the process. The house is conveniently located for groceries, walks to the ice cream stand and dinner locations. I would highly recommend this property.

Stunning home

Just spent four days at this superb home on the lake. Nine women just relaxing and having fun. If you are looking for a home that is upscale with a great view, lots of bedrooms and beautiful bathrooms, then this is the place for you! We experienced some great local attractions -the national comedy museum, Lucille Ball museum had some great dinners. Carolyn-the owner, was extremely friendly and accommodating. I would absolutely recommend this home on the lake. We are hoping to visit again in the near future. Thank you Carolyn!

September Getaway at Lakewood House

GREAT Home

We just came off of a family vacation with six adults and five grandchildren. We had so much room and so many wonderful accommodations. The whole house was immaculate, newly remodeled kitchen was fully stocked just like home. Excellent home, Carolyn was very gracious. Would highly recommend staying here. Boat lift was awesome. We would definitely return...
