This modern 3-bedroom, 2-bath tropical home blends comfort and style featuring high ceilings open living spaces indoor-outdoor living. Ideal for families or small groups, the home comfortably sleeps 6 and provides the perfect base to relax, explore, and enjoy the best of the area.
The home features a bright, open-concept layout with large windows that bring in natural light and views of Lake Arenal and the surrounding mountains.
The spacious living area includes a comfortable sectional sofa, dining space, and TV for relaxing after a day outdoors.

The fully equipped kitchen includes a large island, stainless steel gas stove, and everything needed for home cooking. A dedicated workspace and reliable Wi-Fi make it easy to stay connected if needed.

Sleeping arrangements (up to 6 guests):

• Master bedroom: King bed with direct patio access
• Second bedroom: King bed

Hello and welcome,

My name is Alexis. I’m originally from France, and I have been living in Costa Rica for many years. I fell in love with this country for the same reasons many of our guests do: the nature, the calm, the warmth of the people, and the feeling that life here moves at the right pace.

I have always enjoyed creating and improving spaces. Hosting came naturally to me because I like offering places where people can truly relax, feel comfortable, and enjoy their surroundings without compromises. I don’t see these houses as “rentals” — they are homes that I’ve personally chosen, remodeled, and furnished with care, using quality materials and finishes that age well and feel good to live in.

What I enjoy most about hosting is knowing that guests are creating memories here: family trips, time with friends, quiet mornings by the lake, or evenings enjoying the views after a day exploring Arenal. I aim to provide homes that feel peaceful, functional, and welcoming — places where you can settle in easily, whether you’re staying a few nights or a few weeks.

I live locally and take pride in being a hands-on host. This means clear communication, attention to detail, and being available if you need help, recommendations, or local insight. At the same time, I fully respect guests’ privacy and want you to feel at home from the moment you arrive.

Costa Rica has a lot to offer, but Arenal is truly special. Between the lake, the volcano, the wildlife, and the slower rhythm of life, it’s a place that invites you to disconnect and enjoy the present moment. I’m happy to share this part of the country with travelers who appreciate comfort, nature, and quality.

I chose Arenal because it brings together everything I value in a place: nature, space, calm, and balance. It’s one of the rare areas in Costa Rica where you can feel truly surrounded by nature while still having access to good restaurants, activities, and services.

The lake, the volcano, and the changing light throughout the day create an atmosphere that never feels repetitive. Mornings are peaceful, evenings are quiet, and there is always a sense of openness and fresh air. Life here moves at a slower, healthier rhythm, which is something I appreciate and wanted to share with others.

Arenal also attracts a certain type of traveler — people who enjoy comfort but don’t need crowds, who value experiences over noise, and who come to disconnect, spend time together, and enjoy the environment. That aligns perfectly with the kind of homes I like to create and the guests I enjoy hosting.

Over time, Arenal stopped being just a destination for me and became a place where I feel at home. Hosting here allows me to share a location I genuinely love, in houses that reflect how I believe people should experience this region: comfortably, calmly, and close to nature.

Casa Kalahni is ideally located for enjoying the lake lifestyle. Fishing tours depart nearby, making it easy to plan a day on the water, and the calm conditions of the lake are perfect for kayaking, swimming, or simply relaxing by the shore. One of the best restaurants in the area is within walking distance, allowing guests to enjoy excellent food without needing to drive.
