Sunshine illuminates Silver Summit through the day from all angles bringing life to every room in the house from dawn to dusk. Oversize picture windows in the living/dining room make for awesome wildlife watching and a snow-globe like feel when storms roll through. Surrounded by conservation lots, peacefulness reigns on this oversized lot to create an ideal setting for your Tahoe adventure!

Silver Summit is centrally located in the Talmont neighborhood up above Lake Tahoe and within a short 5 minute drive to some of the best and most iconic west shore destinations: Sunnyside Resort, Firesign Cafe, West Shore Market and Shadyside Lounge.

The great room is perfect for hosting your entire party regardless of the mood. Whether you are dialed in for competitive board games, your favorite sports/shows/movies on the 75” TV, or quiet reading away from the excitement that might be brewing in the downstairs media room, you’ll be right at home.

The spacious fully equipped kitchen, Viking appliances, and expansive counters for preparing multi-course meals will make your dining experience an ease. Outside, the deck boasts a two person hot tub and for summer-time visitors, outdoor dining with the forest as your back-drop!

Two of the four bedrooms are on the lower level, with the queen bunk room and queen bedroom on the second floor. The kids will LOVE having their own living area which we call the Media Room!

The Media Room boasts a small drink fridge and sink to avoid trips up to the kitchen alongside a full-size Foosball Table, another 75” Smart TV and all the board games you could ever ask for – lounge in style!

SUMMER - A summer visit would not be complete without a trip to the Lake Tahoe Park HOA directly next door to Sunnyside Restaurant. With two piers for lake access, the beautifully landscaped park has a grassy lawn area, beach volleyball courts, basketball hoops, horseshoe pits, bocce ball courts, and a play structure. The lake front picnic tables and BBQs are available to reserve.

HIKING - Down the street from Silver Summit, Paige Meadows should not be missed! Paige Meadows is packed with easy hiking and mountain biking trails in the summer and cross-country skiing and snow-shoeing trails in the winter. Paige Meadows is incredible for families and those not wanting a big workout, given it has very few hills yet offers stunning views of the area and wildlife.

WINTER - In the winter, take the Sherwood Shuttle to the backside of Alpine from Sunnyside! or drive 15 minutes to the Palisades Alpine Meadows base and only 10 minutes to Homewood Ski Resort for some of the most beautiful views in the basin one can experience at the lake while skiing.

Regardless of the season, Silver Tip will not leave you disappointed!

Parking on the street is strictly prohibited at all times.

DRIVING ADVISORY - If you are renting this property during the winter season (Oct 15-May 15), you should bring a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Please be advised, the access road off the main highway is difficult to ascend when covered with snow or ice if one's vehicle is not a 4WD and/or with chains even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days.

Other things to note
SECURITY CAMERA(S): Please know that the home's two security cameras are active on the front door, and/or driveway only.

County Rules
Each county requires we inform you of the rules and regulations relevant to your home's Short Term Rental Permit. Thank you in advance for abiding by the rules below!

Maximum Occupancy: There shall be no gatherings, events, weddings or other group functions on the Premises with more people than the number of persons stated on the Agreement.
Parking: Parking on the street is prohibited at all times. All cars, boats, and trailers must be parked in the garage and/or driveway.

Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are 9pm-8am, seven days a week, Noise carries easier and further in higher elevations and over water. Per the ordinance: No sound from the vacation rental home shall be audible from the parcel line during this time. Noise shall be minimized in order that it not be an unreasonable annoyance, disturbance or nuisance to neighbors.

Lights Out: All exterior lights that are not needed for safety must be turned off between the hours of 10pm-7am, seven days a week. Per the Ordinance: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors.

Red Flag Warnings: Due to extreme fire danger, bonfires, charcoal barbecues and wood-burning fire pits are strictly prohibited. On Red Flag Warning Days, when fire hazards are especially dangerous, typically due to dry conditions and high winds, additional restrictions are imposed by the North Tahoe Fire Protection District and prohibited. You cannot use outdoor gas grills or gas fire pits during Red Flag Warnings. All outdoor fires are prohibited, both gas and wood. It is your responsibility to be informed of Red Flag Warnings. You will see signs on the front of all fire district stations, hear about it on the news, see it on social media and hear about it on the radio.

Winter Driving
Many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in Tahoe/Truckee and may be icy in the winter. To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle. Make sure the chains are the proper size for your tires and are in working order. You may find valuable winter driving tips from the CHP website.

Summer Patio Furniture
Patio furniture is available for your use during summer months only. All outdoor tables, chairs and loungers are put into storage in the fall, in order to protect the furnishings from winter weather.

Be Bear Aware!
Black bears are very common in this area and have become habituated to human food and garbage. Because bears no longer have a strong fear of humans, you may encounter bears during your spring, summer and fall stays. Feeding bears is illegal. Leaving food outside, trash accessible, or doors and windows unlocked is likely to cause significant property damage to homes and to vehicles. Please take a moment to learn how to be Bear Aware, so that we can continue to live in harmony with our wildlife.

We had an excellent stay at this property with our family of eight. The location was great, and the house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and filled with natural light. The amenities were fantastic, and everything—from the appliances to the kitchenware—felt almost brand new and very well maintained.Check-in and check-out were easy and seamless, and communication with the host was excellent—very friendly and responsive throughout. We had no issues at all during our stay and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!
