The cabin also includes access to a private 3.5 acre beach with 2 piers (within 1 block walking distance) and is just a 1.5 mile walk into the main town of Tahoe City and a block away from Sunnyside restaurant and resort. Very nice house. Lots of parking for our 3 vehicles. The kitchen was very well appointed and we were able to cook our meals for 6 people with ease. Comfy beds! I would call the property 'pet tolerant.' Friendly neighbor dogs roam free which our dogs did not appreciate. It is RIGHT ON the busy highway 89. Crossing the road to access the beach was a little scary on Saturday. Impossible to leave windows open in the evening due to road noise and the front deck was well furnished but same road noise applies.The private beach was a joy. Not crowded and beautiful. A LONG block to walk but do-able even for granny.

The house was very clean upon arrival inside. The decks and outdoor furniture were full of pine needles and debris, which with any amount of wind can create this debris so not a big deal. Hot tub was not as clean as it should have been for renters. I tried to clean it myself and it only created floating debris. I did contact property manager and she was very attentive and helpful. Needless to say many of us did not feel comfortable using the hot tub. Kitchen had great amenities and full of everything we needed. The house was located on a busy road although that did not bother us at all. We spent a lot of our time enjoying the sun on our deck. We enjoyed our daily walks to the lake and stores. The house shows signs of great enjoyment and use. The couches had pits in the cushions when you sat down so you needed to be careful where you sat or you would sink... The mattress's could be replaced as they also had divits where they had use. All in all we absolutely had a fantastic time. We did need to contact the property manager when we first arrived to get some clarification on a few things. She was very attentive, helpful and wonderful. Thank you Jessica, you are fantastic!

Perfect for our family.Right on highway 89 so easy to miss when first arriving.upstairs shower only gets to warm water.no fenced in yard in the back so needed to take fur baby out with a leash and watch for wild animals.saw a bear and coyotes.overall house is great and we had an amazing time.we will be returning.we want to make this a yearly vacation now with this home.

Perfect girls weekend

My friends and I stayed here and it was great! Super close to beach and and shops. The house was very clean and bed sheets were so soft. Hottub worked great as well. Would stay here again!

We stayed last week at this property and it was amazing. It’s fully equipped. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. There was plenty of linens. The towels were extremely soft. We were three generations of family and just had a fabulous time together. The beach is just a short two minute drive down the street and it is clean and beautifully maintainedIf all works out we’ll rent again next year. Thank you so much for a great vacation!!

Horrible

Pictures do not look like inside or outside of house. First night we went to to go to sleep and all bedding was stained. We had to sleep in towels. Told homeowner and they had the cleaners come next day. We asked for some sort of credit or refund but they never gave us. My 75 year old mom has to sleep in beach towels. Cabinets were hanging, blinds were in bad condition, carpet was ripped. There was no hand towels, and only beach towels for showering. Located on busy street, very noisy. For what we paid for (which was a lot), we would not recommend. We have been renting homes in Tahoe for over 30 years and have never stayed in such a horrible place.

Cabin needed maintenance inside and out. Nasty towels ..Traffic noise was unbearable. The host answered my questions quickly...which was helpful as there where no instructions for anything for the house/ keys for the garage and private beach.Not enough paper goods...paper towels/ toilet paper. Etc. Worst VRBO I've stayed in

Not exactly fabulous

The word fabulous is misleading. The home needs LOTS of TLC. Don’t be misled by the reviews of 8 to 10. It’s more of a 3. If you don’t mind shoveling the driveway upon arrival, not having hot water in the upstairs bathroom shower, and various other things, this place would work for you.

Messy, but decent for the price

I stayed up here for the week with my friends and the location, amenities and space of this house were all perfect. Candidly, the place didn’t seem VRBO ready as it was messy and was missing many of the things one would expect when staying for a week. No extra garbage bags, paper towels or dishwasher detergent. No soap or shampoo in the bathrooms. No vacuum charger, the broom is busted. Many of the drawers were filled with random items, curtains were broken. Even the deck had 4 shovels, just shattered across the deck, making the whole place rundown. All that said, the place was pretty cheap and slept a lot of people. I won’t be coming back, but if I was in my 20s and more money-conscious, I’d give this a go!

Ideal Cabin for Lake Tahoe

It was the ideal cabin for Lake Tahoe! I would note that this is not in South Lake City, but about 45 minutes north of it so just keep that in mind when booking as there is limited things to do in Tahoe City.

Large Comfy Home Near Lake

We enjoyed our stay. We liked the size of the home, the furnishings, and the location. We were excited to get snow the night we arrived. Loved soaking in the hot tub.

Fun place to stay for a weekend in Tahoe City

We took a group of adults and teens up to celebrate a birthday. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and the park area at the lake. The park area is just a short walk and was such a cute neighborhood. We had a bear visit 2 nights in a row trying to get into the trash which was actually neat to see. Beds were comfy and couch is huge. The host is very responsive. Having 3 bathrooms was great with our large group. Safeway is just down the road for supplies

Okay property, terrible customer service

We rented this property for a relaxing girls weekend. I messaged the host 3 times the week leading up to arrival asking about an early arrival and never received a response. When we did arrive, the dishwasher was still running and we had to empty it, and the towels were still in the dryer, which we had to fold to use. Not a huge deal, but for the amount of money they are charging, annoying. That night, a bear broke into the trash box. We messaged and called the host, no response. We had to clean up 2 trash cans of trash strewn about the driveway. A neighbor stopped by and told us that this trash box gets broken into multiple times a week but has not been replaced. We had to call VRBO to try and get in touch with the host, and even when VRBO called them, there was no response. Finally we got a call back and someone was sent to fix the trash box, but they did not take the trash. Naturally, the bear came back the next night! We once again asked for the trash to be taken out and it was not. We ended up keeping all of our trash bags in the house the whole weekend so that the bear would not be tempted by fresh trash. The hot tub had some issues and we were able to fix it when we finally got in touch with the host. The heat lamp on the front porch was out of gas. The property itself is fine, a little outdated but was in a good walking location from town and plenty of beds. Overall, for the price they are charging, we expected basic services and communication. Really disappointed.

Bear invasion

The was was in a great location Grounds around house had a lot of trash Sliding glass door in upstairs bedroom was missing Cabinets in the kitchen were falling off or loose We had a bear break in to the house The property manager was great and very helpful They did allow us early check in and late check out

Great place

Great place to stay with lots of room for our group of 11. Host was responsive regarding getting the propane tanks for the grill replaced.

Great location

Very nice. Not quite perfect but totally acceptable. Great location. On main road so outside noise is a bit much. Quiet inside. Could stand a bit of sprucing up but overall quite nice. The jacuzzi was dirty and was not really usable.

Great location!

The location is conveniently located close to all the amenities. We enjoyed being able to grab groceries in a short distance. The area is beautiful and the house had everything we needed. There was plenty of room for everyone. The hot tub was a nice addition. We were able to do all our activities with only a short drive.

It was a good stay except fridge didnt work

The cabin was nice although it was very close to main freeway you could not hear none of the traffic inside. Clean and roomy, it did get hot in the rooms even with ceiling fans, but had extra fans to use. Overral great stay except for the fridge not working wouldnt keep food cold, most food went bad and had to toss it wasnt going ti chance getting food poisoning. We only had one ice chest and had to buy ice everyday to keep milk, creamer and little food we had to fit cold. Freezer does work but not fridge. Not only did we lose out on money from food going bad and ice, we had to go out and buy food again for family of 11 since fridge wasnt working and we had plans to cook home cooked meals. Host only offered to reimburse for ice only.
