This bungalow/gîte was built as the annex to the main house. On one side, there are beautiful views of the Pyrenees, Begur Castle,The Islas Medas and the Mediterranean. The other side looks out onto the lovely garden of the main property, part of which can be accessed through the patio doors from the sitting room. There is a fully fitted and equipped kitchen, fully tiled bathroom, bedroom with large double bed and walk in closet. There are fly screens on all windows and electric shutters on terrace side of house.
Car parking is on the property, access of which is through an electronic gate.

The Annex is also the perfect base for the Autumn/winter months, as central heating is available for the cooler days & nights.

Wonderful views in peaceful location

A very well equipped, spacious and comfortable property with stunning views, magical sunrises and tranquil location. Both vehicular and pedestrian access needed careful consideration. Shops and restaurants are within most peoples walking access but not for the faint hearted. There were plenty of interesting places to visit by car and an enjoyable garden to relax in WiFi is available but not reliable unless outside.We thoroughly enjoyed our week there.

Great calm place with sea view

We had two weeks of great relaxation with everything needed at The Annex. Roger was very friendly but discrete at the same time Walking to the beaches can be exhausting but the trails are very beautiful as well. Big recommendation for two persons who are looking for a calm and beautiful place!

Quiet, spacious holiday home

Very spacious, light property with wonderful views. Quiet situation but also very well positioned for walking along the amazing coastline and visiting historic sites. Extremely well equipped and very clean. Welcoming and helpful host. Highly recommended.

We had a great stay!

The Annex was lovely, very well set out and equipped. We had everything we needed from the moment we arrived, including a lovely bottle of bubbly chilled in the fridge. Roger was kind and helpful and once we got the hang of the steep drive and the lay of the local winding roads, we truly enjoyed the Annex and Begur itself. Lovely!

Wonderful!

We loved our stay in Begur! Nicole and Roger were so easy to deal with and the property was just as advertised. We felt at home the moment we arrived! And Begur was just charming. We would go back! The wifi was very slow but we had downloaded some movies so it was fine. Thanks, Roger and Nicole!

Lovely stay at ‘the Annex’

We are still missing the view. The house is cozy and you will find everything that you need and a little bit more! Bathrobes, beachtowels and a bottle of Cava! We had a bit of a stormy week at the Costa Brava but overall we had a great time. The walk down to Begur is nice and up it’s a bit haevy after a Mojito ;-) We hope to come back again! Exceptional Begur House with Great Hosts!

Ideal lodgings for exploring Begur and the Costa Brava. The house has stunning views of Begur, the castle, and sea. It's located in a quiet area, comfortably furnished, well provisioned, and impeccably maintained. A short walk will take you to a nice grocery store, great restaurants, interesting shopping, and a farmer's market on Wednesdays. Nearby you'll find exquisite beaches and a peak with stunning 270 degree views encompassing the Emporda, Pyrenees, and sea. The hosts are gracious and responsive. Staying here was a wonderful experience. Thank you, Roger and Nikki, for your hospitality!

Calm and relaxing environement

We enjoyed two very relaxing weeks in this location with its amazing garden. Roger was all the time helpful and he knows all the beautiful locations and beaches. The house is very well equipped and clean, with a beautiful view either in the garden or on opposite site to the sea. It takes you just a couple of minutes downtown and some minutes longer to climb back the hill. We definitely plan to come back at another time. Jörg und Sieglinde

No we didn’t, we were 3 and the owner did not allowed us to stay. Cancelation was done and we claimed to be refund, unfortunately were already told the commission of the platform will not be refund from the paid amount

Homely

We had a lovely 9 nights in this comfortable and spacious bungalow. We especially loved the light filled rooms and the views all around. The house is situated up the hill and the walk into the town centre takes about 8 minutes. Longer on the way back and involves steps and steep hills, so you need to be relatively fit! The property has a cosy, homely feel and seems much more spacious in reality than in the photos. As well as the lovely view over the garden, the other side of the bungalow has windows along its entire length which makes for light filled rooms and also gives an expansive view of the coastline and glimpses of the castle through the trees. The English host, Roger, is very friendly and welcoming and on hand if you need anything. His daughter, Nikki, manages the booking from the UK and is very responsive so communication was very good. We were there in March and the weather, though good, was coolish and of course it goes dark earlier. There is central heating in the bungalow which works very well in the evenings to take the chill off when needed. It heated up very quickly. A TV is not usually important on this kind of holiday, but in the winter season it would be a bonus if there was a more modern set with streaming options. We had anticipated this and so we downloaded films at home before we left and then connected our laptop to the TV with our own HDMI cable. The WiFi had quite a weak signal, although Roger has been trying to improve this. Some of the other equipment is a bit old and is probably ready for updating and the crockery is a bit mismatched but it all worked. The bungalow is well placed to visit the nearby beaches and beautiful coves and the inland medieval towns are close by and shouldn't be missed. All in all we had a really good stay in the Annexe.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Annex. Begur and the Costa brava are very pretty, with the coves and small resorts, not to mention the food. We also visited Cadaques, where we had camped in 1977, can remember some of it but it had obviously changed a lot. The bungalow, garden and views, were exceptional but the drive is a bit steep, even so I managed it ok, even with hand controls. There were many extras to what we normally get, including a bottle of bubbly and it was the first time we have not had to clean before leaving, which is a great bonus. I managed ok being disabled, but there are a few things that we had a bit of difficulty with. Outside it was difficult to get from the car to the bungalow in the loose gravel. We just managed in my wheelchair, but my scooter which is normally ok in firm gravel, just got stuck. A small path to where one got out of the car would suffice. I also found it a bit difficult with my frame on the patio, due to its unusual slope. Inside was great apart from a couple of things in the bathroom. I found the shower too difficult to use, due to having to step over the frame at the front and being a small area. The alternative of washing at the washbasin was also awkward as I couldn't get my knees under the front, when sitting in my wheelchair. A pull down rail to the opposite side of the toilet to the wall would also help, although I did manage with the wall rail. It would all depend how much you are disabled. However we really enjoyed the stay and as I say there is always a way [well nearly always] and if I had known about the problems I may not have come and missed out on a lovely holiday.

Schönes Häuschen mit allem was man so braucht. Netter Gastgeber.Die Anfahrt ist etwas speziell, man muss über eine andere Straße auf das Grundstück fahren,. Der Weg zum Grundstück ist sehr steil.

Propriété située au calme à Begur.L'accès est, cependant, quelque peu difficile mais on s'y habitue vite !Nous a permis de découvrir, en une semaine, cette belle région et ses richesses, Port Lligat, Cadaquès, Girona, Besalu, Callela de Palafrugell, les jardins du cap Roig, les villages mediévaux de Pals et Peratallada. Le propriétaire a été très discret durant notre sèjour. Location en tout point conforme à l'annonce.

Tolle Unterkunft mit einem Blick auf das Meer

Ich und mein Mann waren 14 Tage in Begur und in der Unterkunft von Roger und Nikki. Wir haben den Garten als einen kleinen Paradies empfunden. Es war alles sehr sauber. Die Küche gut ausgestattet. Sehr schöner Ausblick auf das Meer. Viel Platz für 2 Personen. Tolle Wanderwege in der Nähe.

Nous recommandons vivement l’Annex Roger est un hôte merveilleusement attentionné La maison est très agréable et rien ne manque : gels douche so british,peignoirs,sac et serviettes de plage…cuisine très bien équipée Tout est pensé dans le moindre détail : parapluies, jumelles.. Propreté impeccable Jardin ravissant avec terrasse ombragée pour déjeuner Quartier ultra calme et aucun bruit si ce n’est le chant des oiseaux 10mn à pieds pour rejoindre Begur et son centre touristique Peut être seulement prévoir de pouvoir garer la voiture sous l’auvent mais sinon nous recommandons à 100%!

Prima, mooi gelegen en compleet huisje.

Sfeervol, zeer schoon en echt compleet ingericht vakantiehuisje hoog op de heuvel in Begur. Mooi gelegen, een plaatje als je door het hek de stijle toegangsweg afrijdt. Vanuit iedere ruimte heb je aan de achterkant fraai uitzicht op Begur en zee. Daar is (helaas) geen zitje, die is aan de andere kant in de ruime tuin met veel hoogteverschil. Ook prima en mooi beschut. In het huis is veel toeristische informatie aanwezig van de omgeving. Ook een flink aantal engelstalige boeken. De eigenaar woont in het huis ernaast en is zeer vriendelijk. Wat wij misten was dat er binnen in het huis geen wifi-ontvangst is. Buiten op het terras wel goed, maar bij wat minder goed weer wil je binnen ook graag wifi. De tuinstoelen zijn wel wat gedateerd. Maar totaalbeoordeling van 5 sterren zegt verder genoeg, tophuisje. Begur is een leuk oud stadje met veel goede restaurants en tapas-bars. Het is niet een standaard plaats aan de Costa, het is er wat chiquer. Wij hebben ons er een week prima vermaakt.
