Come stay at a gorgeous 4 bedroom , 3 bath house with 2300 sq ft. Resting on 2.5 acres. Brand New finished downstairs bedroom and bathroom! A large home with Master Suite, plus two bedrooms with a queen sized bed in each and a very large full bath. Huge living room with big screen TV and satellite, lots of seating; cozy fireplace with large comfy chairs. Spacious dining room with seating for 10. Large deck with retractable shade and BBQ. Downstairs boasts 3 beds, a queen, full and twin, along with a TV, a new downstairs bathroom! A fenced in yard with children's play set. Access to acres of forest, with lots of trails for hiking and biking! Use this cabin as a departing point to explore the wonders of the Sierras including
•Casino entertainment and bowling in Tuolumne City
•Explore a gold mining town in Columbia State Park
•Rent a boat and fish on Pinecrest Lake and streams
•Visit the mountain wineries for tasting.
•Plenty of beautiful places for hiking, horseback riding, biking.

My family and I had a great time during our Christmas get-together. The house was very comfortable and cozy. The house was larger than I expected, there were 8 of us so we had plenty of space. Mike was a great host, quick to respond and very accommodating. I asked him if he could make it snow and he came through! :)

We loved this beautiful mountain home! Our goal in booking the trip was to find a spot where we could vacation with our dog - somewhere a little more secluded and peaceful than right at Pinecrest Lake. This home met and exceeded our goal. It was beautiful and tranquil. Our only regret was not booking a longer stay! We cooked great dinners in the well-appointed kitchen, enjoyed sunsets on the deck watching bats amoung the pine trees, played games around the large dinning table, cozied up for Netflix on the comfy sofas, hiked and swam at breath-taking Pincecrest Lake, and slept so comfortably each night with the AC. Thank you! We look forward to booking again!

House was Perfect for our Family Thanksgiving!

This large home met every need we had during our five days during the Thanksgiving week. The kitchen was completely stocked with all we needed for numerous meals at home. The bedrooms and bathrooms easily accommodated all of our family members and their children. We had five adults, 2 young children and 1 baby and we all had plenty of shared space and privacy when needed. We appreciated the cut firewood and starter wood provided. The natural surroundings of the forest were beautiful and we were lucky enough to see some deer very close to the yard! We highly recommend for large groups and would stay here again!!

Private large property in nature

Great large property, lots of space, and most amenities that you would need. This place is private, you do not feel close to neighbors. Nice backyard and patio area, the dog run was perfect. Fireplace was great as it started to get colder. 2 main issues that we ran into that resulted in just a slightly lower rating: 1) cleanliness was an issue, there were cobwebs in the shower, dust everywhere, patio was not clean, it just looked like they were not expecting anyone to stay and did not prepare the place for it (we went in the offseason) - as we pay for a cleaning fee, it was not great to go into the place in that state; 2) some things just didn't work, including the large bathtub (one of the reasons we chose that property in the pictures). Overall, we had a nice stay and would come back, but only after confirming with the owner that the place was properly prepped.

sibling yearly get to gether

the 3 couples and a sister in law all age 75 plus in age . we found the altude 4680 feet was nice vese 100 degree in the valley. the house with 4 bedroom was great with large table (10 seats) for meals we made in kitchen. shopping in sonora ,trip to lake,walk on flum.

Mi-Wuk vacay 2023

The house is very comfortable with plenty of room to accommodate several people. We our daughter stayed in the basement room with our grandkids it was nice for the babies to go to bed away from the rest of the house so we could stay up later to visit and play games. My parents also came for a couple days and it was nice that the front of the property isn’t too steep for them. The kitchen is stocked with everything you might need. The beds we’re comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

Mountain House

The property was wonderful as far as size and we loved the quiet location. There was a lot of personal items in home ie: clothing, toys,stuff in fridge, etc. no place to hang up clothing. The master bathroom sink was clogged, with absolutely no drainage. The linens were not on beds. We found them in a hall closet. I would take my own if renting again. Towels as well. They do supply those but we’re not very comfortable. Pillows were stained and flat. Food in fridge and freezer that I think might be from other renters. Back stairs to yard below could use some work. The basement area was brand new and very nice! We are very clean and a bit picky as the home could use a deep cleaning. Furniture was very nice and comfy in living area! There were 6 of us, all adults, no children and one small dog. Plenty of beds and lots of room! Everything needed for cooking as well. A very large table which would seat 10 nicely.

Perfect family winter getaway

Our stay was wonderful in this home. It was perfect for the kids (3 and 10) and the yard for our dog was great. The house is spacious, it can definitely hold two families easily. The house came stocked with everything needed, including sleds which we enjoyed sledding down the hill on the side of the house. The fireplace was perfect for the cold days and nights. The house was easy to access, and close enough to town while still feeling secluded. We look forward to coming back in the future. Thank you for a wonderful stay! One note- the beds weren’t made upon check in, and you have to take your trash with you. We didn’t mind, just wasn’t something we were aware of.

Definitely booking again!

The property was perfect for our family! The dogs had plenty of room to romp and we didn’t have to leave the house to do some sledding. Plenty of rooms and space. So many accommodating items. It was such a wonderful stay.

Winter Wonderland

The Smith house was everything we needed and more. It is stocked with plenty of towels and bedding. The kitchen has every gadget you need. We felt right at home. There was plenty of space and we never felt crowded. Loved that there was beds/bedrooms for everyone. The downstairs finished basement was perfect for the kids. The little ones couldn’t get enough of “Alexa”. They had a blast playing in the backyard in the fresh snow we got. Found a little hill in the neighborhood that was perfect for sledding. The owner Mike was readily available and accommodating. Oh and the wooden stove was perfect for keeping the main floor toasty. We hardly used the heater. There was plenty of wood supplied for us. We look forward to visiting again and staying at the Smith house.

Spacious well stocked home

This lovely home is large and handicap accessible. Plenty of needed supplies like linen, towels and paper products. Wifi and cable TV a big plus! Air conditioned!!! The person renting was very accessible to answer any questions. We’d definitely rent again!

Beautiful property and huge house

My husband and I stayed with our five children and my parents and the house was the perfect size for all 9 of us! The pictures didn’t do it justice as to the size and layout. The bottom story (maybe a basement in the past- I’m not sure), was so nice and looked newer and house our three younger boys perfectly with three nice sized beds and a large TV to keep them entertained. There were also several cots and a blow up mattress (we didn’t use them but good to know they are available). The upstairs portion of the house was great with three additional bedrooms and a wonderful outdoor deck. A few things to note, it was hard to make the 11am cutoff for departure time (our mistake for not planning ahead of time) because of the laundry we had to do. The dryer took awhile to dry all three loads of our laundry. The next time we come (and there WILL be a next time), we will do a load or two of laundry the day before. For those that enjoy fishing, the PG&E ditch (the Roth and flumes), which was 9 minutes from the cabin, had EPIC fishing! We took the kids there and caught 21 fish in a few hours! Had a nice trout dinner on our last night. We also took a drive to Arnold (about an hour and 15 minutes away) and went to White Pines park… that was awesome! Smaller lake with no motor boats so all the family could float around in inner tubes all over the lake and it was surprisingly not that crowded. Wonderful summer trip and we plan to visit again during the winter for a white Christmas! Thanks Mike!

Great Place, Lots of Room

Nice place! We traveled up the highway to Beardsley Lake and Fraser Flat, but it was a little smoky from the distant wildfires. There is plenty of room on the property and good privacy. This would be a good place to bring kids.

Fantastic clean and well supplied home

My wife and I have stayed at this home on several occasions. We have also had our adult children come up and stay with us. This is the best supplied home we’ve ever stayed in. It is fully furnished with everything from towels to lots of pots and pans and dishes even Ziploc bags when you need them. It is clear that this is a home not just a rental cabin. You cannot beat the location very private on over 2 acres off the highway even the dogs love the fenced backyard.

Family Getaway

We had a great time at your wonderful home! Kids spent the day at Pinecrest jumping from the giant rocks, husband went fishing at Lyons and all of us went to Beardsley. The kids and I spent one day horseback riding at Aspen meadows! We had a fun filled vacation and it was nice to come “home” to an air conditioned house and comfortable beds! Will definitely be returning!!

Great end of summer trip

Cabin was perfect for two families and 2 pups! Close to Pinecrest and Mia’s for yummy pizza. Deck was perfect for enjoying the cooler evenings!

This is my parents home,they are originally from San Francisco, growing up there and meeting at S.F. State. My Mom worked as an elementary school teacher and Dad worked as an electrician. Scout camping trips year round in the Sierras really warmed us to the area. My parents raised us family on the Peninsula, sent us kids to college, and are now enjoying retirement, and being new grandparents. We wanted to share this beautiful home with others so they might have wonderful weekend and vacation experiences that we were able to create for our family. In the winter you can ski at Dodge Ridge, in the Summer you can go to Pinecrest lake and play on the water. Hiking and camping opportunities galore.

Friends and Family live nearby in Twain Harte, and Pinecrest. It's a shorter drive than going to Tahoe from the Bay Area.
