Enjoy our colorful, charming condo at the historic Ocotillo Lodge! This light & airy, mid-century unit truly offers the best of Palm Springs living. It`s a rare 2nd story unit, with a patio and endless mountain and sky views from the living room and bedroom. We`ve added meticulous details to complement the surrounding desert landscape. You`ll appreciate the many stylized nods to Palm Springs` colorful history while enjoying modern amenities. Our whimsical mid-century gem is yours to enjoy!
This unit at the Ocotillo Lodge retains many of the original architectural elements designed by architects Palmer and Krisel. As it`s located on the 2nd floor, our one-bedroom condo basks in tons of natural light, with amazing views of the surrounding mountains and palm canopies. You get a chance to truly enjoy the best of indoor/outdoor living, including a patio to enjoy a morning coffee, afternoon cocktail or al-fresco dinner.
Our stylish condo decor mixes mid-century style with bold colors & textures. The living room has a sliding door to the patio for that seamless, indoor/outdoor experience. Enjoy the soothing natural surroundings for which Palm Springs is known.
Our bedroom has a plush king-sized bed for that perfect night`s sleep. It also features an en suite bathroom with many original details. The kitchen is fully stocked, and opens out to the dining/bar area. For your entertainment, we have SmartTVs in the living room & bedroom. Once you step outside of the unit, the large swimming pool and spa are both just steps from your door.
Originally built in 1956 by famed architects William Krisel & the Alexanders, the Ocotillo Lodge started out as a hotel, and is one of Palm Springs` most stunning mid-century gems. As a guest, you will have full access to the facilities, including the famous champagne-cork shaped pool, two hot tubs, fitness room, and lush desert landscaping. You`ll truly feel like one of the many celebrities who have frequented this famous hangout spot over the years.
Ours is truly a special unit, located in one of the best examples of mid-century architecture that Palm Springs has to offer. We can’t wait to share our little slice of Palm Springs Modernism heaven with you!
You’re renting the entire unit and patio area. Make yourself at home, as everything is yours to enjoy exclusively!
Our property is professionally managed by a full service vacation rental agency, so your trip will be worry-free from beginning to end. We will take care of everything from hosted check-in to departure, and will be available for anything you need along the way. We are also available to handle any special or a-la-carte requests, including pre-arrival grocery shopping and arrangement of transportation and/or tours.
CITY OF PALM SPRINGS REGULATIONS & RENTAL RULES
(we don`t make the rules, but we do follow them!)
**No parties or large social gatherings of any kind are permitted at this location!**
Neighbors have been notified that this property is a vacation rental and are encouraged to call a hotline to dispatch authorities to investigate any disturbances. If the city issues a violation, guest will be responsible for payment of any fine(s) and may be evicted with no refund.
- Minimum age for primary renting guest is 25.
- Daytime occupancy is 6 people.
-Overnight occupancy is 2 people.
- Maximum of 1 vehicles allowed. Please utilize driveway parking before using street parking.
- The City imposes a strict noise ordinance for vacation rentals. No music is allowed outside at any time, including music coming from inside that can be heard at the property line, and no noise at all is allowed outside after 10pm.
- The City requires a signed written contract for all guests, as well as a copy of the primary renter`s government ID. This will be taken care of during check-in.
- The City requires each guest to pay an 11.5% Transient Occupancy Tax and a 1% Tourism Business Improvement District assessment for stays less than 28 days. If your stay is 28 days or more, taxes do not need to be paid.
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE
- Check-in time is 4PM, and check-out is promptly by 11AM.
- Our onsite greeter will meet you at the home and give you a tour.
- Late check-outs without prior approval with incur a $250 fee, as we need time to get the house ready for the next guest.
PETS
- Pets are NOT allowed at this property. Any signs of pets on the property will incur an additional $500 fee and will be cause for eviction.
NO SMOKING
- The entire complex is a smoke-free property. Any signs of smoking in the unit or on the patio will incur an additional $250 fee.
CLEANING
The final cleaning after your checkout is included in your reservation quote. For stays longer than 6 weeks, guest will be responsible for the cost of a mid-stay clean every 30 days. Fund will be collected from guest as mid-stay cleanings occur.
INSURANCE FEE for Vrbo & Direct Bookings (does not apply to Airbnb bookings)
Guest is responsible for the service fee below, depending on length of stay:
● $99: 1-29 nights
● $450: 30-59 nights
● $150: each additional 30-night block
