Gorgeous Riverside Retreat on the water-walking distance to Riverwalk & downtown

Your stunning getaway awaits in McHenry at this lovely house. With three spacious bedrooms, the primary featuring a king bed & two rooms feature queen beds, guests can enjoy plenty of room to relax. The house offers three bathrooms, including one with a jetted bathtub perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Stay comfortable year-round with heating and air conditioning, and take advantage of thoughtful touches like an iron and hair dryer. Whether you’re here for a weekend escape or a longer stay, this brilliant home provides a welcoming space to play, relax and recharge. You’re sure to make fantastic memories with a stay at our place.

This retreat has just had a major renovation with wall to ceiling paint, hardwood floors refinished, new curtains and furniture and new kitchen appliances. We are still waiting for some furniture to arrive, as soon as it does we will post current photos.

Riverside Retreat's location is a boat and water lovers dream!!
It features a dock to tie off your boat to or fish from and is just minutes away from Munson Marine offering boat rentals. There is a boat lift on property however, the lift is custom built and cannot be used by renters as doing so would damage your boat. There are cleats to tie your off and buoys for your usage.

Riverside Retreat is located close to No Wake Zone so most boats will be slowly driving by, providing an often beautiful water show.
The water in front of the house is shallow and sandy - no diving or jumping. Bring your fishing license (16+ years old) as we have a few fishing poles for you to use off the dock or your boat.

McHenry Riverwalk is a short half a mile walk away where you will find amazing shopping and festivities all year round. It's a really fun experience everyone will enjoy.

A shorter walk away, just a couple blocks, you will find Veterans Memorial Park which features a fun playground for the little kids and for the big kids, a gazebo and stage where many concerts and performances are offered free to the public. You will also find a picnic shelter and area and outside restrooms.

Petersen Park Beach is located just a short drive away and offers many fun options for outdoor lovers. In the Fall, the McHenry Music Fest offers known artists for great price and time.

There are 4 major grocery stores located just minutes away - Jewel Osco, Meijer, Aldi and Walmart, some of which offer front door delivery. Many restaurants are also very close, some offering door dash as well.

3 of our favorite places to walk to are Bimbos (great Italian food), Riverside Bakery - absolutely delicious doughnuts and pastries and Fox Hole Pizza -yum!!
