Welcome to 'Kensington Garden,' your perfect home base for any Salt Lake City adventure, whether you're here for a ski trip, a convention, or visiting family. Surrounded by lavish gardens, this enchanting 1,700 sq ft home offers a stylish and comfortable retreat.

The open-concept main floor features a living area with a cozy brick fireplace, a large dining table for your whole group, and a well-stocked kitchen. A second living area provides even more space to relax or watch a movie. When it's time to rest, three well-appointed bedrooms, each with a dreamy queen bed, await. A queen sleeper sofa offers additional sleeping space, and two beautiful bathrooms make getting ready a treat.

After a day of work or play, step out into the lush, private backyard and soak your cares away in the 6-person hot tub. Our home is also dog-friendly, featuring a fully-fenced yard for your four-legged friends to enjoy (a $100 pet fee applies).

The Neighborhood
Our home is ideally located just a few minutes from downtown Salt Lake, putting the convention center, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment right at your fingertips. You are also just a short drive from the mouths of the canyons, offering easy access to world-class skiing and recreation.

Known for “The Greatest Snow on Earth,” the Salt Lake area is home to some of the best outdoor destinations on the planet. You're just a short drive from numerous world-class ski resorts, including Snowbird, Alta, and Park City (all within 23-30 miles). Other nearby points of interest like Temple Square, Historic Sugarhouse, and Red Butte Gardens are all within a few miles.

Getting Around
The Salt Lake International Airport (SLC) is a convenient 15-minute drive (8 miles) away. While some attractions are nearby, we recommend having a car to best explore the city and the beautiful Wasatch Front canyons.

My husband, our dog and I enjoyed our stay in this spacious home in a lovely neighborhood full of a variety of older homes with character. Fall leaves on mature trees added to the experience. Inside the home were 2 cozy seating areas, 3 bedroom with comfy beds, washer and dryer. Outside were a fenced backyard And a heated jacuzzi ready to be used at any time!!! The owner assured us she would be on hand if we needed anything. Entry was easy. Park with ducks, aviary, children rides was within easy walking distance.

Highs and lows

There are some real perks to this unit. The location is great and the hot tub was a real treat. The check-in process was simple and smooth. Communication with the host was pleasant. The house is well-furnished.However, there were some lows as well. Some were minor inconveniences—like the freezer not working and all our ice melting. The central air unit had some sort of prep-program that made it very hot overnight (pumping out heat in the summer). We couldn’t figure out any fixes so we slept with windows open and fans on.Most concerning was the fact that the dryer caught fire overnight the last night there. We woke up to smoke both downstairs and up. This is perhaps unpredictable, but the real problem is that the smoke alarms didn’t go off. Had we not been awoken by the smoke, we could’ve been in real danger.Some of the above issues (freezer, air con) we didn’t communicate to the host until the last day, so I don’t hold it against her that they weren’t addressed during our stay. However, the host’s response to our stated safety concerns was very nonchalant, which surprised us.

Great place south of downtown

The place was very nice with a homey feel to it. Great amenities and everything was explained very well. The neighborhood was very friendly. Easy access to public transportation which we used exclusively. Paige was very easy to get ahold of and was helpful with answers to questions.

Great location

Great home with amazing location! Hot tub was fun. Only thing is the house seemed to get hot at night, we turned down the AC it never got below 73 degrees.

Great place for Thanksgiving get together w/ family

Great Stay in SLC

When traveling I look for 3 things when renting a home: 1) Comfortable and functional living space; 2) Nice surrounding area; 3) Good communication with owner. This listing checked off all 3 and I would definitely rent here again. The home is just as advertised and the owner has done a very nice job setting it up so folks will want to return. A Goofy Goober’s Dirty Thirty

If I could give a 500/5 star review I would. I rented this property to celebrate my 30th Birthday and Paige was absolutely incredible in working with me. The home itself was more than I could have ever hoped for, super spacious, really cozy and the layout gave lots of places for people to just hangout and enjoy themselves. Everything about this property exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend staying here. Parking is super easy and is close to lots of things if anyone needed to make a quick run. The bedrooms were so cute and I loved the decor inside, the beds were soooo soft and soooo cozy. I am so beyond happy with my experience. Thank you so so much Paige for sharing your wonderful home!

Beautiful inside and out!

We were so excited to stay here! We fell in love with the pictures but they really don’t do it justice. The beautiful front and back yards, the hot tub, and the comfortable feel of the home, really made our stay here amazing! The house is much bigger inside than it looks from the outside! There were five of us staying in the house (three adults and two kids) and we all had so much room! There was a whole room untouched. The basement was stylishly put together and includes a washer and dryer. Smart T.V. so you can watch all the videos you take of your trip everyday! Full kitchen with pots, pans, coffee pot, and utensils. House was clean and felt very inviting. Communication was great, very sweet and kind. I would definitely stay here again when we visit Utah. Thank you, for sharing your home with our family! Highly recommend 10/10

Cozy dog friendly house.

We had a comfortable convenient stay with our yorkies. We were all able to spread out and the dogs were happy to explore the fenced in back yard. Paige was responsive and the checkout procedure and house rules were very reasonable.

Couldn’t beat the heat!

When we first arrived at the property it was as expected. Nice neighborhood, with a beautiful front yard. However, when walked through the door… we quickly looked for the climate control for the home. To our dismay, there was only a window cooler which wasn’t sufficient. We contracted the owner and she said to open the window and use three outdated fans! The home hot throughout our stay. The home needs central air system! There needs to be notification on Vrbo on what type of heating and cooling systems the property has.

I am licensed as a CPA and an accounting professor at Salt Lake Community College. I have a small business called Holistic Accounting where I not only do accounting for individuals and small businesses but I work with people and their money issues.

I bought this house specifically to rent out as a vacation property. This is the only house I have so I've made sure it's nice. I have enjoyed using my creative energy in decorating it. I have poured my love and nurturing into caring for this home and preparing it for each guest. This is the kind of house I would like to stay in if I were visiting Salt Lake. I like the location of this home because it provides quick access to pretty much everything I am interested in doing.
