This apartment has moldy smell that triggered asthma attacks and coughing/sneezing. The place is dirty, hair on the bed, dirty towels in the kitchen, entire floor has water damage and the kitchen cabinets have owner’s personal items. When we booked the place few month ahead of our arrival, the apartment was advertised as two bedrooms. However, when we arrived, one of the bedroom is locked. I suspected the owner live in that room so I am not sure if I would share the apartment with someone else. We had to get out within an hour due to the heath hazard and booked a hotel nearby. I do not know if VRBO will refund us or not. The owner denied the poor conditions of the apartment when I complained to VRBO. I would stay away from this place at all cost.

The main door has no handle hence very difficult to close the door

Die Wohnung liegt sehr zentral in einer sympathischen, ruhigen Gegend mit guter Verkehrsanbindung durch U.Bahn und Bus. Die Zimmer waren einigermassen sauber, jedoch vollgestopft mit Gerümpel aller Art. (Matratzen, Bodenfliesen, leere Kartons...) Die Küchenkästen waren übervoll mit Lebensmitteln, teilweise abgelaufen. Auch fanden sich zahlreiche ungeöffnete Poststücke, Briefe, Pakete... sodass man den Eindruck gewann, der eigentliche Wohnungsbesitzer könne jederzeit zurückkehren. Es gab dadurch keinen Stauraum für unsere persönlichen Dinge, Kleidung, Schuhe etc., da auch ein Abstellraum derart angeräumt war, dass man die Tür nur einen Spalt öffnen konnte und kein Platz mehr vorhanden war. Ein Eckkasten im Vorraum war ebenfalls voll angeräumt. Das Ganze machte einen recht seltsamen Eindruck auf uns. Wir haben das Beste aus der Sache gemacht, da wir an der Sauberkeit an und für sich nicht allzuviel auzusetzen hatten, die Betten bequem waren und auch ausreichend Handtücher vorhanden waren und uns die Lage sehr gut gefiel, Ich würde die Wohnung jedoch nicht weiterempfehlen. Empfehlen würde ich dem Vermieter jedoch eine Entrümpelung um Platz für seine Gäste zu schaffen.
