We had this home booked well in advance and were traveling hours from home to attend a paid conference. Within 2 hours check-in, while we were already en route, the host abruptly canceled our reservation.We were left stranded in an unfamiliar area with virtually no time to secure alternative lodging. Because of this last-minute cancellation, we were forced to drive back home and miss the second day of the conference we had already paid for.This created significant financial loss and stress for our family.I cannot recommend booking with this host, as reliability is critical when you are traveling with commitments and family.

BEWARE!! This property is not ready for guests, the listing is inaccurate, and communication with the host was frustrating and non-existent unless I contacted them first. Response time was hours or the next day. The listing boasts about the private pool, but makes no mention that the pool is seasonal. The pool was the sole reason we booked this property. Despite the host telling us the night before check-in that it wasn’t scheduled to be open until 4/1, they said it just needed to be vacuumed (not true) and they would get it ready for us during our stay. I was only given updates if I asked and I eventually requested a partial refund for being misled and having no usable pool. I was told there would be no refund since they told us before we checked in that the pool wasn’t ready and we chose to stay anyway. There were small pebbles on the floor in several rooms, I found a fingernail on the couch, the dishwasher wasn’t hooked up, nor was the water/ice in the fridge. I was given no check-in instructions, so I searched all over the outside of the house to find the lock box and key. We were given one key for our group of 3 adults, which was very inconvenient. I asked if we were supposed to have more keys and was initially told we should have one key per guest, then was later told we just get one key to share. A door code would be a very easy solution and would feel more safe than the thought of keys being copied and used by other people. Pest control is needed - lots of spiders.

Regarding the pool, we did inform you prior to check-in that it was not yet open for the season and scheduled to be available starting April 1st. We also attempted to accommodate your request by expediting preparation during your stay, though we understand this did not meet your needs. We take cleanliness concerns seriously and will be addressing the issues you mentioned with our cleaning team immediately. This is not the standard we strive to provide. We also appreciate your feedback regarding check-in instructions and access, as well as your suggestion about keyless entry—this is something we are actively working to improve for future guests. Communication is very important to us, and we regret if our response times felt delayed. We are reviewing our processes to ensure more timely updates moving forward. We value all guest feedback as it helps us improve, and we’re sorry again that your experience fell short.
