Awesome home in Cortona

About 20 km above Cortona, surrounded by vast oak forests, lies this large vacation home in a romantic side valley. The former manor house consists of four apartments that are rented together. Spread over three floors are the bedrooms, there is a large communal kitchen, living room and an outdoor kitchen to the sunny south side. In front of the house the large terrace with seating area, barbecue and garden. A footpath leads to the pool area a little above (70 m away), with deck chairs and beautiful views of the wooded mountains. Also on the property: children's games, a trampoline, volley, bocce, badminton.

Directly from the house you can make wonderful walks, hikes or bike tours along the historic Roman road. In the picturesque Etruscan town of Cortona you can wander through the picturesque streets and alleys, discover new views all the way to Lake Trasimeno and watch the lively hustle and bustle in front of one of the numerous bars and wine taverns. Chic clothes and leather goods, wines and local specialties are offered here in many places. You should not miss the Etruscan museum and also a walk up to the fortress always offers unique views.

Beautiful is the nearby Franciscan monastery Le Celle, a romantic place of contemplation (18 km). Other excursion destinations: Lake Trasimeno with its sandy beaches and small islands (40 km). In Montepulciano you should taste and buy the famous Rosso di Montepulciano locally (50 km); the charming Renaissance town of Pienza with breathtaking views over the unique Orcia Valley (60 km) will remain in vivid memory. But also a visit to the Umbrian Città di Castello (25 km) is worthwhile! Arezzo (50 km) and Siena (100 km) with their beautiful historic centers and the Umbrian capital Perugia (70 km) can be reached within an hour's drive.
