3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 3 terraces with mountain and harbor views.
Located in the upper part of the village, in a small enclave of pedestrian streets in the historic center of Andratx, is this renovated house that is more than 300 years old (considered one of the oldest in Andratx). The house is in a very quiet location, yet you’re only a two-minute walk from the village square, and Port Andratx is just a five-minute drive away.
Many of the original features have been preserved, giving the house a rustic charm, complemented by modern furnishings from England, France, and Spain.
On the first floor are three spacious bedrooms, all equipped with white linen curtains on the windows and blackout blinds.
The first (middle) bedroom features a comfortable, original English large wrought-iron bed (180 cm) with a high-quality mattress from England, an antique wardrobe and a dresser, nightstands, and lamps. Original exposed wooden beams, a wall-mounted TV, a freestanding wood-burning fireplace, and a magnificent view of the middle terrace. Flexible enough to be cozy in the winter months and cool in the summer.
The second bedroom (at the front of the house) features a bed (160 cm), antique French nightstands and lamps, as well as a large antique dresser with a marble top, above which hangs a large antique wall mirror. There is also a huge built-in closet. High ceilings with exposed, painted beams give this room a bright and airy atmosphere. All this is complemented by a beautiful view of the exposed stone wall opposite the French doors leading to the Juliette balcony.
The third bedroom features a double bed (160 cm), an antique nightstand, and an antique mirrored wardrobe. This bedroom makes the most of the Mediterranean light with French doors leading to the middle terrace, and the rooftop terrace is also accessible from this bedroom. An original vaulted ceiling completes the look. This bedroom is versatile enough to accommodate two separate couples living independently in the house.
The master bathroom is located on this floor and features Lefroy Brooks fixtures from England and Spanish marble. There is a large soaking tub with a rain shower, a toilet, and a large sink. Outlets for razors and hair dryers, as well as appropriate lighting, are conveniently located. Here, too, there are beautiful French and English antiques, including a large, ornate French wall mirror (above the sink) and a French park bench. Original terracotta flooring throughout the building. Two new VELUX skylights ensure a bright, Mediterranean-style bathroom.
Back on the first floor, you enter the house into a large combined living/dining room with a varied selection of sofas and chairs. There is a large teak dining table that comfortably seats 8 people, a large Samsung smart TV, and a freestanding wood-burning stove for cozy winter nights.
From this room, turn right and go down a few steps to reach the lower level of the game/living room, which features a comfortable seating area and a stereo system with a large selection of CDs spanning all genres. There you’ll also find the house’s original rainwater well and a built-in wood-burning fireplace.
A few steps from the living room in the other direction is the kitchen, which is equipped with high-quality appliances such as a SMEG 1.5 freestanding oven with a gas stove, a dishwasher, an American-style refrigerator/freezer, and all the necessary utensils. Of course, there’s a coffee maker, a juicer, a toaster, a kettle, and a wide selection of high-quality utensils, plates, and glasses, providing guests with everything they need for stays of any length.
Adjacent to the kitchen is another luxurious bathroom featuring Spanish marble on both the floor and walls. Here, too, the fixtures are by Lefroy Brooks of England: a mirrored walk-in rain shower, a toilet, and a large sink. Outlets are conveniently located throughout the space. You’ll also find both a BOSCH washing machine and a separate BOSCH clothes dryer, both of which feature “quick” cycle settings available for your use during your stay.
Outside, there are three separate terraces: The ground-floor terrace features a large teak dining table (seats 8) and chairs, as well as a large gas grill. On the middle terrace, you’ll find two sun loungers along with a charming bistro table and chairs. The rooftop terrace features two additional sun loungers, so you can enjoy not only the magnificent view of the church but also the vista across the entire valley to the port of Andratx and stunning sunsets.
Since it’s in a pedestrian zone, it’s very quiet yet conveniently located for everything the village of Andratx has to offer. You’re a two-minute walk from the charming Bar Cubano, the tobacco shop, and the beautiful church. The main square
