The Space:

Six months into the year, the Blue Ridge Mountains are deep green and alive - and this High River retreat puts you right in the middle of it. Set within a gated community in Ellijay, Georgia, the property blends indoor comfort with genuine mountain access: a community river park, scenic trails, and forested surroundings greet you the moment you arrive. Unload the cars, breathe the cooler mountain air, and let the week slow down to a pace that feels earned.



Living space

The main level opens into a vaulted great room anchored by a stone fireplace and flooded with natural light. The layout flows easily between the living room, a large dining area, and a full kitchen outfitted with quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a blender, wine glasses, and every cooking essential you'd need for a full group meal. A dedicated workspace is available for anyone who needs to stay connected, and the deck off the main level gives you a natural place to unwind with mountain views and outdoor furniture.



Sleeping arrangements

The home sleeps 14 guests across five bedrooms and 9 beds. On the main level, the primary suite features a king bed and a private en-suite bathroom with a walk-in tiled shower and dual vanities. Two additional queen bedrooms and a second full bathroom round out the upper floor. The lower level adds two more queen bedrooms and a third full bathroom. A bonus room is set up for the kids or extra guests with bunk beds and its own TV - no squabbling over screen time.



Lower level & extras

Downstairs, a second living area with a wet bar and full-size refrigerator gives larger groups room to spread out without crowding the main floor. It's a natural hangout space - whether that means a late-night card game, a movie night for the younger crew, or simply a quieter corner for guests who want it.



Kitchen & dining

The kitchen is well-equipped for group cooking: refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, hot water kettle, coffee maker, toaster, blender, baking sheet, wine glasses, and a full set of dishes, cookware, and dining basics. Initial supplies are provided - dish soap, dishwasher pods, washer pods, paper towels, and kitchen towels among them. For longer stays, you'll want to restock essentials as needed.



Outdoor & community

The deck is the natural gathering point after a day out, with outdoor furniture and a backyard. Beyond the property itself, the gated High River community offers a private lake and a riverside park - open space to wade in, fish from, or simply sit near. Scenic trails wind through the surroundings, and the atmosphere throughout is quiet and unhurried.



Family & comfort

The home is set up for mixed groups: a pack 'n play/travel crib and high chair are on hand for the youngest guests, board games for the evenings, and room-darkening shades for the sleepers who need them. Extra pillows, blankets, hangers, and clothing storage are all included. Air conditioning, heating, ceiling fans, and an indoor fireplace keep things comfortable whatever the weather.

You're 10 miles from downtown Ellijay - about 20 minutes for farmers' markets, restaurants, and local shops. Engelheim Vineyards and Chateau Meichtry are both around 8 miles out. Amicalola Falls State Park is a 35-minute drive, and the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway is about 35 minutes away. Apple orchards at Hillcrest and B.J. Reece are reachable in under 30 minutes, and Carters Lake is just 15 miles from the property.
