Brilliant night skies and breathtaking sunsets are all part of the experience at this mountain home, located midway between downtown and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Enjoy the views of Deer Mountain from the solitude of the private hot tub or the furnished patio while watching wildlife like elk, big-horn sheep, bobcats, and bears.

This home features a well-equipped, full kitchen with a dishwasher, a great room with plentiful seating, and a large TV over the gas fireplace. There is free WiFi, a washer/dryer, a screened porch with a wood-burning fireplace, and a two-car detached garage.

Things to Know
Check-in time: 4:00 PM.
Check-out time: 10:00 AM.
All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

Birthday Celebration Trip

We stayed for my husbands birthday. We had the best weekend. The house was in a great location. Everything was very clean. Communication with the host was easy, and everything was working.

Lovely home

This well appointed home was located near all popular areas of both Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property manager Amanda was exceptionally helpful.

Perfect Mountain Retreat

We had a perfect Thanksgiving weekend staying at this property. Our family of 8 had plenty of room to enjoy this beautifully decorated home. House was clean, kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed since we ate all our meals there. Wildlife, including elk, deer and wild turkeys paraded by daily and we experienced our first snow of the season. All in all, just a perfect family retreat.

Beautiful home, light maintenance needed.

Overall, the home and property was beautiful and cozy. Lots of wildlife to enjoy as well. Slightly disappointed with some of the maintenance issues that existed , such as hot tub that did not heat properly (unable to be enjoyed as anticipated, even after repair), broken closet door, broken bathroom trim, and bathroom sink that did not properly drain. Overall, a good experience. Would appreciate it if hot tub fee was refunded as that was the primary reason we chose this particular rental.

Avoid all costs

This house is A safety hazard. There was disgusting, dangerous black mold by and in the dishwasher, layers of it. Management company finally came to clean it up Just before we were about to leave for home. The hot tub is permanently broken. The owners refused to fix it according to the company Contractors. A large sofa chair in the living room Was also broken and in a dangerous condition We are calling the Colorado Board of Health And the town of Estes Permit division requesting a suspension of the rental license until they can verify the safety property. We are seriously concerned that people might be harmed by staying here. We had no safe use Of the kitchen for our entire stay, most of our party moved out for fear of sickness from the black mold first night. We are requesting a full refund Beware And make sure your health insurance is up-to-date.

Nice house but hot tub does not work

We were traveling with 4 teenage boys for this trip. We have a hot tub at home so we gave the choice between a house with a hot tub or pool table. They chose a hot tub. I found this listing and read some reviews about the hot tub not working. Since it was a must on the list I emailed the listing agent and they assured me it was in working order. I should have listened to the reviews. We arrived on a Monday. The house is nice, well equipped and very convenient to RMNP. We opened the lid to the hot tub and was absolutely disgusted!!! It was FILTHY! I texted the agent and she said she would have someone come out and look at it. We found on the side of the hot tub that it had been “serviced” the day we were checking in. There is NO way anyone serviced this. Pretty sure they just signed the card and left. The guy was supposed to come out the next day and we got a text saying he was at the Doctor. So two days gone now. He finally arrived Wednesday and did some work on it. We had left to go hiking, came back and it looked better BUT.when we tried to turn the heat up it said basically the heater was out (can’t remember exactly the wording) .So the hot tub that we rented the house for was completely useless!!! We paid this much money for nothing, could have stayed somewhere else for A LOT cheaper that didn’t have one. If you’re looking for a house with a working hot tub for the nights after hiking all day this house is NOT for you.

Great House and Location BUT a few hiccups

First, I'll say my family of six really enjoyed our stay in the house. It is probably one of the cleanest houses we've stayed in, as well as Uber-Comfortable beds!!! The layout of the house is very well thought out, and every bedroom has it's own bathroom/shower. The location is stellar - a quiet neighborhood on the northwest side/read less busy part of town. We had numerous animal visitors as well during our stay, and it's an awesome central location to everything. With that being said, there were a few issues: First, unlike the description says on vrbo.com, the house is nowhere near 7,000 square feet. Even if you factor in the screened in sitting area and the patio, you'd be nowhere close to that. 7,000 feet is more like the elevation of the place, not the footprint. That being said, it is very well laid out and felt ample big, but again, I'm not even sure it's half of 7,000 finished square feet. Not a deal breaker, but if you list something at 7,000 sf, it should be that. In reality, the house is probably closer to 3,000 counting both the upstairs and downstairs. Second, the managing company leaves a little to be desired. They are extremely difficult to get to answer questions via email, both prior to the stay and during. We never attempted a phone call, but it appears as though they are a central managing company in multiple states with very many properties. Luckily, the house is immaculate so there was really nothing that would prevent us from staying there again. We never met anyone on the trip to introduce us to the house - rather, everything is digitized. You get an email with an e-lock code to the house, as well as internet instructions, and check in/check out instructions. But, if you choose to stay here, the email has some missing tips about the e lock - you have to push * after typing in the numbers to get the door to unlock, and then just push any button to lock it when you leave. Cell service is decent at the house, but data is unreliable, and the home's internet is below average speed...way below average. The neighborhood has "quiet time" starting at 10:00 pm, so no hot tub after that. The hot tub was extremely clean though. In Summary, the house is well worth staying in. It might be maybe on the pricey end since it's not 7,000 sf as listed, but beds are comfy and it's super clean.

Excellent Stay

Our stay at the Buckhead was great, we couldn't have asked for a better location. The home was stocked with everything we needed, and very clean. Check in/out was a breeze, and we were kept updated by text message throughout the stay. This is the perfect spot for easy access to RMNP. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to spend time in Estes Park

Magnificent

Many times you book a place and walk in disappointed, the exact opposite here. The place was better than expected! Clean, updated, close to everything we needed. Easy check in/out, kitchen has everything you need and the views are fantastic!!! We will be back as this served our needs great, even had more beds than we needed. Thanks for a great time!

Next to Heaven

The house was perfect for our group of 6 adults. The location is wonderful, close enough to town but loved the spacious yard and surrounding. We saw elk, chipmunks, birds, wild turkeys . Enjoyed the hot tub every evening. The kitchen well stocked to cook in and all bedrooms had comfortable beds. Love this place, highly recommend.

Quiet and stunning location

We go to Estes every year and stay at various VRBO’s. We have always enjoyed our visits there but this one was especially wonderful due to the beautiful location and lovely home. We will be back!!!

Amazing home in Estes Park

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "The Buckhead". We had all the comforts of home. The outdoor fireplace patio was amazing for a cold evening fire. The hot tub was great after a long day of hiking in RMNP. We saw lots of wildlife, including a big bull elk on the front lawn our first morning. A great vacation home !

Great stay!

This is a great house in a great location for RMNP. Very responsive management for the one thing we needed. Comfortable, clean, equipped with everything we needed. Good beds, good quality linens and towels. Elk and mule deer roaming by every day. I’d definitely stay here again.

Great vacation

The property was clean and in a great location. It is close to RMNP and town (Estes) while being out enough to be quiet and private. We saw elk almost daily. I would definitely stay here again
