The charming lakeside town of Radolfzell is located a 20-minute drive (15 km) away, the World Heritage Site Reichenau Island is a 45-minute drive (42 km) from Öhningen, and you can drive to Konstanz, famous for its picturesque old town centre, in 40 minutes (38 km).
