The entire upstairs apartment will be private to you. This building is a duplex so we ask for you to be respectful of the people staying in other unit downstairs.

Other things to note
- Please note that this is the upstairs unit, and there are about 15-20 stairs to climb. If anyone in your group has mobility issues, this may not be the best fit for your group.
- This is a pet-friendly unit. While we thoroughly clean between guests, if you have a severe pet allergy, this may not be the best place for your stay.

For anyone coming in town for the Richmond marathon or other races, this apartment is within walking distance of the starting lines.

Weekend stay

A group of us stayed for the Richmond marathon and it was a perfect locations for us! The kitchen was pretty well-appointed for cooking and beds were nice and comfy.

5-star Highly Recommend! Couldnā€™t have picked a better location for graduation weekend. Central location close to everything. Seamless check-in/check-out. Owner was great to work with, extremely accommodating, and immediately responded to every question I had. Thanks again!

Perfect access to conference center

This location was a short walk to the convention center which was perfect for us. So much more spacious than a hotel. The beds were comfortable. The white noise alarm clocks in the bedrooms were perfect for blocking out the street noise. The only thing we would have liked to have that we didnā€™t was a toaster in the kitchen. We will stay again if attending events at the convention center.

My stay was great. Very easy to access property. Only disappointment was I couldnā€™t use the living room TV. Otherwise, the property was great. Great location. I had events at VCU & the Convention Center. Both walking distance.

Lovely place

The host and house were great. Didnā€™t feel the location was quite accurate compared to the general location that was shown on the map with booking. Maybe not the safest area of Richmond, but still lots to do nearby as long as youā€™re mindful of safety. The actual place was great with everything we needed, a lot of natural light, and the host was very attentive, checking in often.

Clean, bright, spacious

The apartment was a great base for a week of work at Medical College of Virgina. I had a typo in my email when I made my reservation which created problems in communication with VRBO. The host, Alex, was very understanding and worked with me to get it straightened out. I highly recommend this apartment.

Lovely place

We enjoyed our stay here! It was clean, cheery and comfortable and close to everything we needed. 6 min walk to the Convention Center. The only negative really is the first impression from the street. The apartment is on the 2nd floor and is only accessible from a private parking lot beside the building and up a big set of wooden stairs. At first appearance, we were a little nervous because we didn't know the area, etc. But once we climbed those stairs, we realized we were in a safe area and felt very comfortable! The apartment is literally half a block from a great area with restaurants too! Neighborhood isn't too noisy either.

Beautiful central Richmond location: completely would recommend

We spent nine days at Alex's Jackson Ward apartment. No detail was missing. The bedding and beds were very comfortable and the oversize towels were a big hit. The apartment comes with super fast wifi with repeaters throughout the apartment to ensure excellent coverage. The apartment was spotless upon check. The kitchen could easily provide a cook in meal for at least 6 people as it was fully appointed with a gas range. The washer/dryer combo was a real help. Finally the Jackson Ward location was located in the Arts District and within walking distance of the good downtown restaurants. For our stay, it was important that it was a 5 minute drive from the VCU medical center. If Alex is not yet a 5 star superhost, she soon will be. She was very generous with her time helping us get settled in at a very difficult time for us.
