Located in the heart of downtown Elizabethton, The Downtown Post places you within easy walking distance of local restaurants, arcades, an escape room, the historic Bonnie Kate Theater, the iconic Covered Bridge, Covered Bridge Park, and the world-renowned Watauga River, famous for fly fishing.
Downtown Elizabethton and Covered Bridge Park host numerous year-round events, including Covered Bridge Days, Sip & Shop, extended-hour shopping events, seasonal festivals, and winter activities such as ice skating.
The Downtown Post is owned by two local families—longtime friends—who operate a local property group known for high-quality renovations, construction, and professional property management. Each suite is thoughtfully named after one of the owners’ children, adding a personal touch to the property.

The main and recommended entrance is located on the side of the building on Post Office Street. A secondary entrance is available from the front of the building on Elk Avenue.
Ample public parking is available throughout downtown, including street parking and multiple public lots beside and behind the building.
For your security and convenience, the building features access control door locks and security cameras in commons hallways and on the exterior of the building. Guests receive a code for the exterior doors and a separate private code for their individual suite prior to arrival.
Located in the center of the common hallway, guests will find our Honor System Market, offering snacks, treats, beverages, and light breakfast items.
