Makani Sands townhouse #309 is a 3 Bedroom, 2 1/2 Bath condo on the 3rd & 4th floor with 3 lanais, and an incredible view of the ocean our neighboring islands of Molokai & Lanai. Upstairs, there is a king bed in the master bedroom with private bath, and a queen bed in the guest bedroom with a full bath. Downstairs bedroom has a queen bed. There is also a sofa bed in the living room for extra guests. There is a newly remodeled, totally modern kitchen downstairs with all the necessary appliances. Let the waves lull you to sleep with two ocean front lanais. There is a 3rd lanai on the mountain side. Enjoy a day on our beach snorkeling, swimming, or sunbathing right outside your door. Come and experience West Maui in Makani Sands condo #309 your home away from home on Maui!

Maui trip March 2025

Our friends and family trip from Arizona has been unforgettable. Whales and turtles from the lanai, amazing snorkeling spots within 15 minutes driving, great food spots that are within walking distance. Thank you for sharing this property so we could all have a Maui trip adventure that our families could share together.

Vacation with family for my 60th birthday

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Makani Sands was the perfect space for our family vacation to Maui. The balcony added a picturesque backdrop to our dinners. The best part was the neighborhood green sea turtles that visited daily. There were some pesky termites, but only showed up once or twice during our stay. Super soft towels and clean house made the welcome to the island very warm. Tammy went above and beyond for us and we would certainly come back! Thank you.

Great Location. Friendly staff and neighbours

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall room was ok. Dated, humid and a bit smelly (likely due to carpeting combined with no conditioning). That said, price for a three bedroom was reasonable. With no air conditioning you had to leave windows open and it’s pretty noisy with the waves so close to the ocean. Outside pool area was well maintained. Back area by water - only one BBQ worked, but we made do. There were some cockroaches in the first day, but management sprayed and I think we only saw one more after that. Again, location is great with lots of restaurants, beaches and shops close by.Would I stay there again. Yes - but only with air conditioning and a few upgrades. (It was my fault that I didn’t realize there was no air conditioning until after we arrived.)

Being able to snorkel steps outside our door was an incredible experience. The property was clean and spacious for our party. The location is great as well (close proximity to shopping and quick dining options)! The lack of A/C was really tough and onsite parking is only for one car. We had to park one of our vehicles several miles up the road on our first night but thankfully the property manager for the condos next door was gracious enough to let us park one of our vehicles on his property after that. This property is right on the ocean but recent construction has left no beach so we really couldn't get in the water but did enjoy watching the sea turtles swimming around as we sat on the balcony. The property management was on holiday during our stay so we had no interaction with them - except for a 30 second interaction to let them know we were leaving when we checked out.

Magnificent place to stay

I'm telling you, you won't regret staying in this condo, no need to go look for a beach for swim, Times Supermarket, ABC store, cafe and restaurant is right at the corner, very convinient! Tammy is the bomb! Thank you for having us and we do appreciate, never a moment you will regret! Mahalo Tammy and crew for everything!

Wonderful Family Vacation Spot

They even provide you a handbag for you to carry beach towels. And you can go into the beach and ocean directly from the building, not acrossing a street or walk long.

The condo had available some beach chairs, cooler, wagon and some snorkeling gear and beach toys. Small Beach right out front of condo people swimming and snorkeling right out front. We were worried that there wasn’t going to be a beach in front of the condo, but where pleasantly surprised to see the clear blue water, turtles, and SAND. The condo was perfect for a family of 6. The rooms were spacious and clean. There was always a nice breeze which made it ok without the air conditioning. We would love to stay again.

Everything is clean inside and out and both times the staff were very friendly. It’s way better than a hotel in terms of atmosphere and convenience. Parking is easy and there are plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from. We’ll be back.

TVs are not user friendly at all.

Amazing stay at Makani Sands

My family and I had an amazing time in Maui, especially because we had a wonderful experience at our condo in Makani Sands. The location and all the amenities were greatly appreciated. We enjoyed having the convenience of a full kitchen - we can cook as we wished, enjoy our leftovers, and make refreshing pina coladas. We enjoyed having picnics at the beaches, snorkeling and playing in the sand with the babies, with all the equipment provided by the condo such as beach chairs, snorkeling gear and sand toys, along with a wagon to tote everything in. We enjoyed every single sunrise and sunset at our balconies, and relaxed with the waves so close to the condo. Tammy, the property manager, made the whole experience, from booking to checking out so pleasant and wonderful. She is so great to work with, and made our stay that much more amazing and memorable. Thanks so much Tammy! We are so appreciative for our trip, and hope to be back again soon! :)
