This Unique spacious corner #310 at Makani Sands, is the largest condo in the building! 3 Bedroom, 3 1/2 Bath on the 3rd & 4th floor has incredible views of the ocean and neighboring islands of Molokai & Lanai, with quick access to our beach & large fresh water pool. Decorated in a modern style, this beautiful townhouse comes equipped with a HDTV in the living room, and a TV in each upstairs bedroom. There is a full kitchen with all the necessary appliances. A large dining area with a dinner table. There is a 1/2 bathroom off the hallway downstairs. Spend some nights at home cooking up fresh fish on our beachfront BBQ, and have dinner on the large glass table. Two large ocean side lanais perfect for fabulous sunsets and whale watching. Upstairs oceanfront large master bedroom suite has a king bed, & master bath has a Jacuzzi tub for your relaxation and a double sink & dressing area. Guest bedroom on the mountain side, has a king bed and walk-in shower. There is a downstairs bedroom with twin beds, and a private bathroom. There is also a sofa bed in the living room for extra guests! Internet was good, Air condition was good (must close sliding doors) washer, dryer, lot of kitchen utensils and very spacious. We enjoyed every part of the house. Spacious Condo with Incredible View

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo is two floors and very spacious. The beds and sofas were comfortable and rooms were clean. The dressers and nightstands could use replacements, as some drawers were difficult to open and showing their age. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms for our stay and all items were in good working order. Two of the bathrooms looked upgraded and beautiful. We ate on the balconies and listened to the waves each morning. The views from the balconies were gorgeous! We saw rainbows over the water many days, snorkeled below with turtles and tropical fish, and saw spinner dolphins. Snorkeling at low tide is best. There was equipment for both beach and snorkeling in an outdoor storage box on the lower balcony. The management team was incredibly nice, helpful, and gave us advice for the best beaches, restaurants, etc. I highly suggest Kaanapali Black Rock Beach to swim with sea turtles and tropical fish! This was a wonderful condo and amazing location! We would definitely stay here again!

Great Space and Beautiful View

We are a family of 6 with adult children. This rental worked great for us because it was very spacious and we enjoyed spending a lot of time on the lanai enjoying the ocean view. It was also fun to swim in the ocean at the resort during low tide. We saw lots of turtles. The finishes at the property were not very updated, but the spaciousness and cleanliness made up for it. The entire staff was very helpful and friendly.

A wonderful vacation.

We were very pleased with the accommodations, the staff and the location. It is a beautiful spot on the water with activities for all ages. We couldn’t have asked for anything more and we are sure to return.

Gorgeous ocean views

The ocean view was amazing! We enjoyed quite a few whale and sea turtle sightings from our balconies. The upkeep of the property is great.

Great as a family vaction base!

What a great week at Makani Sands! We had plenty of space for our extended family of 7 adults and a toddler. It was nice to have easy access to the ocean for snorkeling and a breathtaking view from the lanais for so much whale watching. The condo was exactly as pictured and the property staff was friendly, accommodating, and very helpful 11/10 would stay again with a large group!

Great place to stay with beautiful views

Everything was wonderful from the booking process to checking out. Property has great views and it’s located in a nice area away from the large resorts.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Dec 28-jan4 2023 unit 310. If your idea of “island bugs”as listed in the rental contract includes cockroaches then you’ll be fine. This place was full of them. The moment I walked in I saw them, on the floor, in the dish cupboard, sink, dishwasher, closet, Bathroom. I would have moved places but nothing over the holiday was available in my price range. We paid over $1000 a night for this condo during this holiday season. The staff was aware of the bug problem and the owner would not give any refund, they did give me traps to set out along with the traps they had already set. My girls spent the nights crying scared of the bugs. I asked the people staying in the unit next to us I believe 309, they said they saw a few cockroaches in their place too- but just dead ones. I give it two stars because the location was perfect and the bedroom set up was what I needed. The upstairs two king beds didn’t have any bugs. I was just sick the entire time we were there, knowing the bugs were crawling on the dishes, even in the dishwasher. I kept all our food in the fridge even the peanut butter as to keep it safe. My main worry was bringing one of the bugs home with me! A relaxing island vacation blackened by stress and tears. The positive was we didn’t have to be at the condo other than to sleep.

Awesome place

After reading the last review I was expecting something horrible but was pleasantly surprised. The only negative thing was that there was beach restoration project going on which was making noises sometimes especially in the morning. Really enjoyed the view from the balconies, were able to see turtles and whales.

RUN FORREST RUN!!!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location and set up of the condo is ok. The problem is the owner refuses to spend any money on much needed repairs on the unit...especially the air conditioning. It was broken the entire time we were there and it needs to be replaced. It is 35 years old. Also needing replaced is the washer and dryer. Plumbing issues while we were there. Came home to water pouring through the ceiling in the kitchen and dining room. Ruined my laptop. I asked for the owner to file an insurance claim to replace my computer. We had no where to go and they had no place to put us so we HAD to stay. No refund offered for not having AC. No insurance claim filed so I am out the cost of a new laptop. The property was roped off at the beach entrance because it's about to fall into the ocean. HUGE crack where chairs are and you could feel the movement from the waves. We had to climb over the next door's property wall to go snorkeling. The management team are nice...but they can't do anything without owner's approval to pay for repairs. Just say no!

Comfortable, spacious ocean front condo

Five of us stayed at this spacious, ocean front condo for a week. Being right on the ocean was a priority and this met that request. We were so happy to find a condo with 3 bedrooms, each with their own bath, plus a half bath on the main floor. Awesome to sit on the lanai for meals everyday! We were thrilled to watch the sea turtles feeding off the rocks below. Having a penthouse and an end unit made for a nice quiet location. We brought our binoculars to watch to whales between Molokai and Lanai. Would definitely recommend this amazing condo for a very special experience !

This unit had enough space for 7 people to be comfortable. The ocean views from both balconies were stunning and we enjoyed whale watching from the comfort of the balconies. The pool was very enjoyable and warm! Would highly recommend and we are hoping to stay here again in the future.

Outdated/ soiled condo and last day problems, unexpected visitors

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Although the grounds and view was spectacular, our condo was very outdated, soiled furniture, needs some fresh paint on the trim/doors and just had a dirty feel to it. There was a very pungent odor in the condo when we first arrived and other intermittent days. Not sure why. We paid for a late fee that meant we could stay in the condo until 9:00 pm on our checkout day, due to a late night flight off the island. I had checked with the management, as I noted the late check out fee on our statement, but it said we were still checking out at 11:00am. I emailed the management of Makani Sands and was assured we could stay in the condo until 9:00 pm on our check out day. A family member went to the front desk around 10:00 AM to find out where we needed to leave our door keys as the office would be closed by the time we left. “Debbie” at the front desk asked what unit the family member was in. The family member told Debbie we were leaving around 6:30 PM. Debbie rather rudely yield the family member we needed to leave “now” and the new renters were standing right there and pointed at some other guests. I went and spoke to Debbie and she reviewed statements I had and emails that had been sent. She said “yes you’re right” and never apologized for the way she spoke to the other family member. She did say it would be too late for the cleaning crew to clean if we didn’t leave until 6:30 pm. We stayed in the condo as planned and around 4:30-5:00 pm 2 women walked right into our condo without knocking. They claimed they were renting the condo and were expecting to be in later that day. They claimed management had told them something needed to be repaired in the condo so they couldn’t get in until later after check in time which was at 3:00 PM. I would recommend this property, but not unit 310.
