This is a private one bedroom lock off apartment. You have full access to the apartment and do not share this space.
You also have access to the boiler room with front loading washer and dryer. The boiler room is semi private and is only shared with building maintenance.
You have private use to the 200 ft.² south facing deck in front of the boiler room off the apartment entrance.
In the winter you have a private offstreet parking spot in front of the south entrance off Mantz. Private concrete parking pad off the west entrance is included and accessible May to November.
Large outdoor wet/dry cedar sauna is shared with the three units on the property.
Private access to Weber grill and picnic table on the south deck is open May through November!
We spend our time split between Rico and Salt Lake City. In the summer we are frequently in Rico living next-door fixing up our home. We like to give our guests space and privacy, but we are always available if you need anything.
We would love to give you suggestions for hikes, hot springs, dining, and other activities in the San Juan National Forest.
This is a self check in property. You will be provided a unique access code to enter the property. Yale Smart lock on the door.
Rico is a true small victorian mining town in the San Juan National Forest. We are 8827 ft above sea level. It’s beautiful and quiet yet only 25 miles from Mountian Village/ Telluride. We are located on the north west corner of Mantz and Commercial street, directly across from the historic courthouse. We are next door to Silver Creek Barbecue, and half a block from The Enterprise Bar and Grill, one of Colorados oldest bars. The Delores River runs through town just a couple blocks from our door, giving you access to some of the best fly fishing in Colorado. Bike, hike, fish and more right outside your door!
We are right off Main Street, directly across from the Historic Courthouse. Our central location makes it easy to find us and explore Rico in any season.
Rico is a high mountain town. We are located 8827 feet above sea level. In the winter snow storms move in quickly.
4 wheel/all wheel drive vehicle is necessary when visiting during the winter months.
All midterm bookings will require a lease to be signed before check-in. This apartment has a 30 day minimum.
The parking for this apartment in the winter months is located directly in front of the house. We have a two vehicle parking pad that is accessible May to November off the west entrance.
You have exclusive access to the south facing front deck in front of the apartment, picnic table, and grill.
Quiet hours are after 11:00 PM, please be respectful to our neighbors right to enjoy peace and quiet and dark sky’s in the mountains.
No smoking inside the house.
We have a no impact pet policy, since our pet fee is so affordable. No impact means you will be pet hair aware and when you leave there will be no trace that a pet was in the home and you are responsible for any damage caused by your pet. Please keep the pets off of uncovered furniture. Pets can not be left in the cabin alone.
No house packing please. We are on a septic system so occupancy counts are enforced. Please disclose all pets and guests. Bringing undisclosed pets/guests into the cabin will result in a $100 fee per pet/guest and additional cleaning costs may apply. If you have a special request or need help modifying your reservation just reach out, we are happy to help.
