Quietside Studio – Peaceful Retreat Near Acadia National Park

Escape to Quietside Studio, a cozy and thoughtfully designed retreat on the peaceful side of Mount Desert Island. Located just minutes from Acadia National Park, Southwest Harbor, and beautiful coastal scenery, it’s an ideal home base for couples and solo travelers looking to enjoy everything Mount Desert Island has to offer while avoiding the crowds of Bar Harbor.

After a day of hiking, biking, kayaking, or sightseeing, relax around your private fire pit beneath the stars, surrounded by trees and fresh Maine air.

The Space

The studio is attached to our family home but has its own private entrance, dedicated parking, and private guest space.

Inside you’ll find:

The studio is designed to be comfortable, functional, and relaxing—perfect for a weekend getaway or an extended visit to Acadia.

Outdoor Living

Enjoy your own outdoor seating area and private fire pit. We also provide an electric Blackstone flat-top grill, perfect for cooking breakfast or preparing a simple dinner after a day of exploring.

Important Information

Because we want every guest to have the right expectations, please note:

The studio is attached to our family home, and we have two young boys. You’ll occasionally hear children playing outside and see normal family activity in the yard, particularly during the daytime. Evenings are generally quiet.

The bathroom uses a macerating plumbing system, so you’ll hear the pump briefly when flushing the toilet or using the shower. The kitchenette includes a sink; the bathroom currently does not have a sink, though one is planned for a future renovation.

We’re continuing to improve portions of the landscaping around the property. Your private fire pit and seating area are complete and fully available, while some surrounding areas remain natural as we continue making improvements.
