The Space:

You won't get much closer to beautiful Alabama beaches than this Gulf Shores condo, a Gulf-front retreat with a private balcony that faces the water, direct access to the sand, and fantastic resort-style amenities that include indoor/outdoor pools, hot tubs, a gym, tennis courts, and more!



This condo sits on the seventh floor of Plantation Palms, a beachfront complex within the confines of Gulf Shores Plantation on the Fort Morgan Peninsula. You'll find tile floors and multiple flat-screen TVs and DVD players inside the condo; outside, you'll be just across a boardwalk from white sugar sand (with seasonal beach service) and a short car ride from Kiva Dunes Golf Course, Gulf State Park, and the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo.



Things to know:

The parking fee for this vacation rental is $35. Instructions for purchasing the required parking pass will be included in your confirmation email.

Only valid service animals will be allowed that are registered/checked-in with security at arrival, but if a service animal is causing an issue such as barking (other than a medical emergency), not on leash and properly controlled, seen as aggressive or approaching others, or defecating in any way in the common grounds areas, they will be evicted.

The Palms building hot tub opens September 16 - May 14 and will be closed May 15 - September 15.

Guests will have access to six outdoor pools & two outdoor hot tubs on the Gulf Shores Plantation grounds plus one indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna.

Access to resort amenities and parking areas may be limited.

Beautiful location and apartment

Really enjoyed our week at Panama City Beach. Apartment was really nice, pool and beach were great. Excellent location.

Beach not crowded

Our favorite location on the Gulf. Easy to rent, hassle free, great beach and sports areas for the kids plus the Sassy Bass restaurant.

Great getaway

The condo was spacious with beautiful views in every room. If you're looking to get away, it's perfect! For a family trip the distance from food and activities is a negative. It's a 20-25 minute drive for shopping, dining and family fun.

Very good stay. We hope to stay here again in the future. The sliding doors need repair and most of the faucets leaked, but the unit was clean and it was home away from home. Loved every second of it.

It was a great state with very family-oriented accommodations. Needed heated pools and map of site.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Kids had fun playing basketball and swimming. Sandy white beaches are amazing there. Local golf and fishing guides available. Great place for families. Two things that would have been nice would be heated pools because the temperature was only in the low 70s or high 60s while we were there. Also if we could have had a map of what pools were shared for our condo and where things were located.

Great trip- we parasailed, seadooed, dolphin watched- had blue angels practice over our beach which is so cool- the condo was great and communication was super- lots of construction since the hurricane at the resort but things have to get fixed!! This was our 5th time at Gulf Shores Plantation- all have been safe and family friendly!! Highly recommend

Great location!

At the end of the hall which was a plus! Great view of the ocean, clean, however the master bed and the first bed are not comfortable and probably need replaced. Have stayed at this property before and what I loved about the house owner is they had beach accessories available for use which helps tremendously and is super convenient (beach chairs, umbrella, etc). Would stay here again for sure! This property is close enough to the strip but on a road that is more private beach is less crowded!

Just wonderful

The condo was wonderful! Very clean with everything you need. Kitchen had everything to cook gourmet meals. Absolutely love that all bedrooms had balconies. View just fabulous! All pool and public areas well maintained and clean. Just a short walk to the beach down the boardwalk. Excellent restaurant just across the street. Highly recommend.

Beautiful location

Overall, this place is terrific! Very accessible for those with disabilities. Absolutely beautiful views. Very comfy beds! There were a couple of things in the unit that needed attention and I left a note so they could be fixed. Nothing major; a pocket door missing a couple of screws, dresser drawer bottom off the runner, screen door off track; nothing earth shattering that would mess up our stay. Absolutely loved the location and the view! I will definitely stay here next year!

Older facility, furniture and deco ok but all appliances' need replaced

This property needs a good cleaning, new flooring and appliances. The unit had a toilet seat missing and the shower head came off during our stay. We called management and it was fixed same day (nice response). The dishwasher smelled bad so we left a note for housekeeping. Having said that we enjoyed the location and the grounds.

Vacation with grown kids

The location and amenities were great but woke up to the air conditioner leaking and soaked floors, reported the issue and response was good but had loud fans and HVAC with hoses for the entire stay with repair crews in and out. Still waiting for “compensation” for the hassle…. Evidently the leak had occurred prior to our reserving the unit and it just flooded during our stay.

Fine for a beach trip

The top floor, corner unit is the perfect location on this large complex. Beds are very comfortable, even for the guy with a very bad back. Quiet location. Kitchen is very compact so more than one person doing things in there is not ideal, but not a deal breaker. The sliding glass door needs some maintenance attention, with whistling and extremely difficult to open and close. Furnishings were standard, nothing elaborate. Pools were great for all ages. Maintenance was called twice and the issues addressed promptly and fixed.

We got here and the room was not ready had to wait, it was an hour and half past check in time. I emailed and called And they said the would figure out someway to comp us. Never heard back. The patio door is hard to close, smashed my finger in it, told them about that, never heard anything back.

Fantastic location. Accommodations meh

This unit is on the 7th/top floor of the resort at the end of the building so the views were amazing! Being at the end, it was quiet and peaceful. The condo is really dated decor wise which wasn’t a huge deal. The master bed was awful. Like cheap hotel awful. There was no blanket for the master bed so we had to go buy one. One of the other rooms had a newer nicer bed. The couch was also very uncomfortable. Kitchen was well- furnished. We had to buy extra washcloths also. The resort was very nice but at least 20 minutes from any restaurants or shopping. There’s nothing within walking distance except a small restaurant on site. Beach is gorgeous!! Very nice pool area. We had a great trip but expected nicer accommodations for what we paid

Not so good

When we got there the property was 81 degrees-took until 10pm to get someone in there to fix it. Had to wait 45 minutes on the phone before we got someone on the phone-there is no one on site who could help do anything-it was dirty and the floors wet from condensation, the sink in the master bath was clogged and slow draining. The lite in the kitchen was falling down. The fire alarm was hanging off wall. The unit was a mess but the place-plantation palms was quiet and not as many people-nice.

Major concerns

We liked the location. We have stayed at the resort dozens of times. But we had several concerns. The front door could not be locked from the inside. We had a 2 year old who could have walked out the door. We were on 7th floor so this was a major safety concern. We did get a latch put on the door by maintenance. Some of the sliding glass doors could not be locked. The condo was not really clean. The vent/filter cover in kitchen area had not been cleaned in months. The maintenance man gave us a new filter. These are not things we should have to worry about. They should be regular cleaning & procedures.
